Chapter 1

Maelyn opened her eyes and sat up from her big comfy king sized bed.

She always wake up at least 5 in the morning, on the dot.

She then put on her slippers, walk to the big windows while the curtains slowly opened up. The sun is already rising and she always cherished the brand new day as the sun comes.

"Carpe Diem." she murmured her motto everyday as she stared at the rising sun.

30 minutes later, sh was still standing by the big windows in her room when someone knocked on her bedroom door. She knew that at this time, as always, her butler, Sebas always come with her breakfast.

"Come in."

The door opens and a man in his 40's come in with a trolley of food that was covered with a silver dome. She could still smell the sweet scent of pancakes and blueberries. She turned and made her way to the table in her veranda as Sebas arranged the food to her liking. She sat down and a white pristine napkin was immediately placed on her lap.

"Your breakfast Miss, 2 blueberry pancakes, with whip cream on top, paired with you hot coffee, 2 shots of espresso with milk and sugar syrup on the side." Sebas looked at his Mistress as he wanted to know what her mood is like today. It would actually depend sometimes on how sweet her coffee is. When he saw that she put the regular amount, he sighed inside his heart. I might not need to dismiss Carol today.

An incident happened yesterday, when Carol, his niece just came yesterday and felt like she was the boss in this big mansion of his Mistress. He did not want to take in the brat as he knew that she took her Mother's perspective of things, that money makes the world go round. He does not know why his younger brother fell for that treacherous woman but now, his daughter was giving him a headache.

"Sebas" a soft voice called and he stopped reminiscing.

"Yes, Miss."

"Ready the car, I'm going out."

Sebas blinked a few times as he thought he heard wrongly. Never in his life that he would one day see his Mistress say that she would go out willingly outside her schedule. She always would stick to her schedule when going out of the Liu Residence. Her schedule to go out is supposed to be in the afternoon, yet now his Mistress wants to go out.

"Understood Miss. Do you want me to contact Secretary An?"

"No need, I will be just checking unto something. Just handle normal arrangements."

He bowed his head slightly for agreement.

He then cleaned up after her Mistress ate and left to arrange the security details for the instantaneous outing that her Mistress decided. he does not know what will happen today but he had a bad feeling that it would not be good. The last time his Mistress decided to Go out of her schedule she was lost for 1 week straight. After that, the remaining smile that left from his Mistress face was gone, as if it was stolen that week.

He sighed as he thought about the past.
