Jake grinned. "I could ask you the same question. You appear to have consumed a little too much alcohol and could barely walk."

Crystal scowled at James as she staggered to her feet. "How about you? You, too, are drunk. Just like us. Hahaha!"

James smiled, a little watery in the eyes. "Accused and found guilty. However, we don't often see you two in this manner."

Their intoxication blended into an odd, shared moment as they stood in the street. The men were too drunk to care about Crystal and Laura's condition, but Jake and James found it adoring; they had never seen them intoxicated and looked lovelier.

"By the way, I'm Ava," stumbled Crystal, pointing theatrically at her hand. "Just thought you should know."

James's eyebrows flew upwards, but he was too drunk to take it all in. "Sure you are."

"And I don't know who I am!" Laura continued to laugh wildly. "Isn't that funny?"
