"Come on, let's eat together!" Kenzo walked slowly toward the surviving Ghoul and, after taking the Gigante's Kagune, took a big bite. Blood spilled from his lips, and the bitter taste of this Kagune made him frown, and he reluctantly swallowed it.
"I'm so sorry; I'll do whatever you want, just don't kill me..." The Ghoul who had witnessed the entire massacre was trembling in terror due to Kenzo's appearance, and since he had killed all his enemies, it was a surprise to still be alive, a unique opportunity not to die.
In that state, he was useless to Kenzo, so he stopped.
"Forgive me...!" The Ghoul spoke at that moment, and he, who was recognized as a fearsome Ghoul from the Doce Monos group, bowed his head and was willing to do anything to survive.
Everyone was perplexed, and some couldn't believe what they were hearing.
In District 14, the Ghouls from the Doce Monos group seemed very cruel on the surface, but in fact, they were all cowards. The reason they all became cruel was only to survive in the harsh districts.
Furthermore, the only way to become stronger is to be a cannibal with one's own kind, evolving to the point of forming a powerful Kakuja that makes them much more powerful. It is true that Kenzo did not have to do this for long to create a Kakuja armor that covered his entire body, but that was because he was very good at controlling his Kagune.
"Have you heard? The massive increase in Doves in District 23 has caused many Ghouls to migrate to other districts in a panic. I wonder if that would change just by being more disciplined. What can you say about that, my dear Ghoul?"
Intimidating the weak is something Kenzo does quite well after defeating them. It is very common to do this in these situations; he needed information, and the only way to get it was through the Ghoul he had left alive specifically to question.
"I guess it's time for me to introduce myself, so I've decided to take control of District 14 from now on. A race against time is about to begin... This must be done quickly and without many issues; I don't want the Doves near District 14 because I have to create an excellent environment."
Kenzo sat on the side of the Ghoul, completely ignoring the situation in the bar, and he just looked at Itori in the distance and said, "I'm sorry about the bar; as compensation, you could have a better place and manage it for the organization I belong to... What do you say?"
"It's not necessary; I'll clean it up later..." Itori felt really bad about the state of her bar. No fights had taken place here because everyone knew who she was, but that was something a newcomer who had just stepped into District 14 didn't know.
Kenzo knew this, but he decided to ignore it. He understood that Ghouls didn't cause problems in places like these to avoid drawing attention. However, that was something he didn't care about, as when his members entered this place, all independent businesses would fall into the hands of the Three-Eyed Crows.
"Cough... let me go!" The Ghoul continued to beg for mercy; he just wanted to live.
"Let me go... I won't tell anything to the higher-ups in my organization!"
Kenzo assumed this idiotic Ghoul wouldn't realize his fate, but it seemed he was completely wrong.
"You know it; I want information on where the Doce Monos are hiding. You will need to find a way in your tiny brain, and in exchange, you will have a place in my organization when all of this is over. Isn't that better than nothing? We will protect you, feed you, and at the end of the day, you'll be the only survivor, which is all that matters." Kenzo put an arm around the Ghoul's shoulder.
The Ghoul, shuddering with Kenzo's hand around his neck, asked, "What do you want me to do? You must know I'm a small member of my organization, so I can't do much. Are you sure you want to trust me?"
"You don't trust your own abilities?"
"It's not that. They will notice when I lie because the leader of the Doce Monos is an extremely dangerous and cautious man. And maybe he'll know I'm lying when I start talking about what happened here. So, there's little I can do for you without him killing me and knowing that I'm lying directly."
Kenzo's expression softened even more, and he said, "That's why you'll tell him the truth; you don't need to lie about it. In the end, you'll be able to survive until he comes to you. So tell me, can you create an opportunity where they're all gathered in one place?"
"In two days, there will be a meeting where all the members will gather to celebrate gaining control of District 14 after exterminating the other two groups in this district," the Ghoul said with increasing calmness as he saw that Kenzo wasn't causing him any harm.
"In two days, a perfect time to mobilize a sufficient group of Ghouls to quell them," Kenzo thought coldly and nodded, seeing it clearly.
He got up, walked to a bottle of whiskey, and poured himself a drink. At this point, what he planned was not total extermination but partial. He would eliminate the leader in a one-on-one combat, and the victor would become the ruler of Districts 14 and 20. Both theoretically had a lot to offer, so it would be a fair battle for anyone who wanted to reign as the leader.
After drinking and wiping his face, Kenzo said simply, "You will run to your leader and tell him that your group was ambushed by twice as many Ghouls who were with you. Then you will tell him that it's a group of Ghouls with intentions to take over this district, so he should send an invitation for his next meeting."
The Ghoul was surprised and replied, "Wouldn't that give his enemy the opportunity to prepare? The leader of the Doce Monos is not at all foolish; he'll plan a way to kill him at that meeting."
"You don't have to worry about anything other than what you've been tasked with, so you can go." After these words, Kenzo noticed from the corner of his eye that a figure sped by just in front of the door, and within seconds, it launched several blood projectiles even before the Ghoul at his side moved.
It takes some diabolic training to reach this level of reaction, and most Ghouls can't do it at all.
"Take care of killing that Ghoul when you leave. By the way, what's your name?" Before leaving, Kenzo asked a question.
"They call me Rafe..."
"Then, Rafe, I trust you will do a good job," Kenzo said without looking at him again.
After he left, the surroundings fell silent. Kenzo said once more, "Itori, if you're interested in creating an excellent nightlife place without any trouble, you can get in touch with me... I promise to offer you great benefits, as well as the opportunity to acquire food without exposing yourself."
"Alright... alright, I'll think about it!" Itori couldn't refuse out of fear of angering this man.
"Okay, let's continue with some questions I have for you... I assume no one else has intentions of causing trouble. So, aside from Mr. Uta, who is reliable, I must assume that the young lady in the corner will keep quiet if she wants to live." Kenzo briefly glanced at the girl in the corner of the bar who gave him a somewhat curious look.
"Mr. Kenzo, if you have any questions to ask, just ask, and as far as I know, I'll tell you!" Itori resolved her emotions and then directed a friendly smile at Kenzo.
