In District 20, Ghoul investigators had been a bit uneasy due to the recent nationwide murders being broadcasted online. Authorities couldn't do much, but crime in all its magnitudes had decreased.

Exactly one week after Kenzo left Japan to make his final preparations, a light rain fell across the city.

"Today is a gloomy day; we should grab a coffee..." A man with a calm demeanor approached a café, but at that moment, his eyes caught sight of some men in blue suits and leather shoes. Each of them carried a raised briefcase, and the man could tell at a glance that they were CCG investigators.

At this moment, these investigators were tailing a mother and daughter from a district far removed from this place. Kenzo had warned them that this would happen, so those two targets had been moved beforehand.

But today, especially on a somber day, those two individuals had moved. The girl named Hina was desperate to find her father, prompting her mother to take her out of the comfort zone she was in.

"Two doves are tracking two concealed Ghouls, send a containment team..." A crow in a fast-food business quickly informed a containment team to take charge.

Lately, attacks on Ghoul investigators had become more authorized, and it was estimated that there would soon be a direct assault on most CCG branches daring to hunt Ghouls when the district was as silent as calm water.
