NUCLEAR TIME BOMB

"Ready for radiation, masks in place, Radiate in 3-2-1, RADIATE."

He sighed, placing his wine glass on the table as he smirked to himself, as he rubbed his eyes again at the sight of two bodies convulsing in pain, there mouth wide open, in a silent scream, tired of watching the same thing over and over and again everyday, for the first few months he had thoroughly enjoyed it, but now he was tired, though he was happy, because from tomorrow onwards, his plan B would be in action.

He sighed and turned towards the second keyboard, as he watched again the scientists stabbing his eyeballs through his eye clothe, tied there to prevent him from compelling anyone, his masculine roar echoing in his office, he cringed at the loud voice and turned it down.

They had tried everything to turn him blind, chemicals, lava, stabbing, every single thing, but they couldn't.

It wasn't in his genetic makeup to repair his eyes, he sighed and pressed a button on his keyboard and watched as the scientists stepped back.

"Please, please, enough, Father, enough, how could you do this to m-me, I am you SON?!"

He opened the mike and chuckled in it and watched as his struggling ceased and he froze.

"Then agree to the offer you fool, or I could find a way into programming them, the choice is yours."

He watched as he practically shook in anger.

"NO, THAT'S MY RESEARCH, I DID IT TO BRING MY SISTER BACK, my poor Sierra, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO HER?! I COULD HAVE BROUGHTEN HER BACK TO LIFE?! If I kill E-9813, Sierra will be gone."

He hesitated at his words only for a moment then scoffed,

"Have you lost your mind? This is not a science fiction movie-

But this time he chuckled causing the scientists around him to look at him weirdly.

"Cant you see how much I have achieved, HUH?! Look around you I have created Humurack, a genetically engineered specie, born to take over humans-

But his father very rudely interrupted him,

"And you tried to increase the profit for Amalgamation corporation, by introducing to the world a drug that you created by using the specianothrium gene, do you know what has happened, the whole world is in an uproar."

He paled, and started stuttering incoherently,

"B-but I-I -"

"SPEAK PROPERLY, Boy."

His father roared causing his son to flinch.

"I had made sure that nobody gets their hands on it, not until I-I made sure that they don't have side-effects, Father, What a-are t-the side-effects?"

His father scoffed when he said side-effects, It sounded so minimalistic but he sighed.

"Looks like The fucking Beckham got his hand on it"

He muttered under his breath,

"D-dad, please talk to me."

He asked in an unsure voice causing his father to jolt out of his reverie, his one was really sacred right now, and he felt his heart clench in his chest, but quickly hardened himself.

"Your drugs was traded by Beckham corporation, under his own copyright, he made billions, sold them to across the world, people all over the world got to it, it's true, its addiction was something never seen before but it-"

"WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP BECKHAM L?! YOU COULD HAVE DONE THAT EAS-"

"BE QUIET"

His father bellowed at him, making him stop yelling almost immediately.

"You should thank me that I protected you from having your name in this mess you know, I put all the blame on that bastard and saved you, but its not like that was needed."

His father muttered the last part under his breath, causing the man on the bed to pale.

"Father, what were the side effects"

He asked in a voice barely above a whisper.

"People started feeling dizzy at first, then they showed symptoms of high fever and within a few days they start bleeding from their eyes, ears and nose, and then they just die, only for their cells to mutate with the specianothirium cells in a way I haven't seen, and then they raise from the dead, almost like a zombie."

At the end of his father's speech, his son stopped moving all together, his face white as sheet, as he looked towards the camera with his mouth wide open. He never thought, this could ever be possible, he just couldn't believe his father.

"We need to make an antidote, son."

He looked towards his father in a silent question as if asking how.

"I think your experiment E-9813 and that bastard Delarosa might have the answer."

"Do you have a lead?"

He asked unsure, making his father smirk devilishly.

"Accept my offer than"

He said with a cocky grin and his grin widened when he watched his son sigh, but nod.

'Let the game begin'

He thought to himself as he eyed the two people, currently having their brain fried and laughed in amusement.

Apocalypse Days: I Rule with Foresight and a Powerful Son

You’d think seeing the future would give me a head start on surviving the apocalypse. I had it all planned—until everything I knew shattered when my husband sacrificed himself to save me and our son. Now it’s just me, my three-year-old son Leo, and my cursed gift of foresight that only seems to kick in when it’s nearly too late. I’m doing my best to keep us safe, to find food, to make some kind of plan— “Mommy?” I glance down, trying to ignore the tug on my pant leg as I focus on our supplies. “Not now, Leo. Mommy’s thinking.” “Mommy!” I sigh and finally look down. My three-year-old is standing there, clutching… I blink. “Leo, where did you get a knife?” He shrugs, grinning like it’s the most natural thing in the world. My heart stutters. “No, really. Where did you find that?” I try not to laugh. I mean, he’s three. Maybe he just—found it somewhere? But the next day, it’s a water bottle. Then, a tiny flashlight, somehow with batteries still inside. I don’t even know what else; he’s pulling things out one by one with the pleased grin of a kid who’s just figured out his favorite game. Well, we may just survive this mess after all. Now, if only the universe could have spared me from him. I don’t even know his name, but I know his type: tall, broad, and annoyingly handsome, with an air of calm control that’s out of place in this chaos. Ex-military, if I had to guess, with a voice that’s just as infuriating as his smirk. The man has a habit of showing up at the worst—or best—possible times, with a gun at the ready and secrets buried as deep as those bright green eyes. I mean, he’s probably useful, but I’m trying to keep my eyes on the prize here: survival. For Leo and me. Because, foresight or no foresight, nothing is guaranteed in this new world—except the fact that people like him are trouble.
