The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons

*ALERT: This Book Is Currently Undergoing Major Editing And Will Be Rewritten. Do Not Buy Chapters* The Immortal Domain is a vast cosmos consisting of the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms, both of which are controlled by the Three Great Families, the Wang family, the Lui family, and the Xue family. Each one of them holds an immense amount of power that could overturn the heavens, reverse yin and yang and change the fate of anyone or anything in the Immortal Domain as they see fit. But, with all of that being said, our story doesn't start from those ancient overpowered families in the Upper Realm, it starts from one of the countless fragmented Lower Realms, called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu. On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty, rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds. Longwei, born into the Wu Clan while in possession of the third rank Legendary Physique, was known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin on the other hand, though was a genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was shunned by his own father after a certain ‘incident’. This story is the supposed legends of two dragons, who, through a journey of bloodshed and betrayal led their clan to unify the Immortal Domain and stand above trillions as the highest existence. ******* If you lovely readers can't be bothered to use your eyes, you can join my Patreon and get to stream my audio chapters like everyone else. Chapter 24- Legacy Techniques Are Powerful

*Hello my lovely readers.

I know I said I would be updating daily, but the very next day my Wi-Fi suddenly gave out for no apparent reason, causing me to miss posting a chapter yesterday. However, that means you guys get two chapters today so enjoy :)*

--------------------------------

After the Pocket Realm's entrance became obscured, Longmin and Longwei stopped their discussions about the scene they had just witnessed.

Looking over at their bodyguards Longmin asked,

"How were you guys able to overpower that Elder's Divine Sense with your Spiritual Senses?"

At that time when they made their move, Longmin had sensed that their Spiritual Senses had fused together and then carried out that attack.

He had an idea of how they were able to use their combined Spiritual Senses to overpower the Divine Sense of a Nirvana expert, but he wanted to hear it from them.

While Longmin was curiously asking his question, Longwei was sitting nonchalantly next to him, seeming to not have an ounce of care for such things as much as his brother did.

Hearing their young master's question, the two cupped their fist before one spoke up.

"Young master, the reason we were able to overpower that Elder's Divine Sense despite us still being in the Core Formation stage, is mainly because of the special soul cultivation method from the Wu Clan we cultivate."

Longmin confirmed his speculations in his heart.

'So I was right.'

He then spoke up and said, "Is it the Legacy Technique, the Soul Divergence Scripture?"

The two bodyguards nodded their heads simultaneously.

Legacy Techniques were considered to be a sect's or clan's most powerful cultivation methods.

The Wu Clan had seven of such techniques, which is actually three times more than both the Xingyun Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty.

There's the Heavenly Sword Scripture, which was the most powerful of three sword scriptures cultivated by Longwei.

The other two sword scriptures are the Silent Willow Sword Scripture and the Nine Heavens Sword Scripture.

Longmin also cultivated two of the seven Legacy Techniques.

The Seven Dao Runes Scripture, which was cultivated by the Formation Division disciples as well, is a type Qi cultivation method that focuses on runes. The other one is the Emperor Tactics Manual, which was a body cultivation method.

This made Longmin a rare Qi and fleshly body cultivator, which not many people chose to do as it was extremely arduous to cultivate both at once.

The last two Legacy Techniques are the Nine Heavenly Cauldron Scripture, cultivated by the Wu Clan's alchemy disciples, and the Soul Divergence Scripture, cultivated by the Demonic Beasts Division's disciples.

Those techniques were highly kept secrets within the Wu Clan, and only the specific division disciples could view them, much less cultivate them.

Longmin being one of the Wu Clan patriarch's sons was not exempted from this rule, however, staying within the Wu Clan for six years and having read all the books in the library, Longmin had set his sights on the Sky Pavilion, which was located on the Battle Division's mountain.

It was separate from the Wu Clan's library and contain all of the cultivation techniques and Daoist magic spells in the clan.

Longmin had managed to coerce his granduncle into allowing him to view all the books within it with impunity. No one objected to this because his granduncle's decision within the clan was equal to or even somewhat higher than the patriarch's, due to him being the only Grand Elder in the clan. A position that could only be filled by someone who had broken through to the mystical Saint realm.

Longmin was thinking back on what he had read about the Soul Divergence Scripture, and its complementary technique, Countless Soul.

Through the Soul Divergence Scripture, a beast tamer would be able to cultivate their Soul Power beyond what was normal for their cultivation base. Its complementary technique, Countless Soul, then worked in conjuncture with it by allowing the beast tamer to divide their Soul Power into countless portions, and create a sort of avatar or clones of their soul.

These clones would then act as a branding seal and was then placed within the sea of consciousness of demonic beasts.

This was the method of controlling the demonic beast that the technique uses. But just that only doesn't qualify it to be considered a Legacy Technique. What does, is the fact that the technique allows the beast tamer's branding seal to act as a medium and merge both the demonic beast's and the beast tamer's soul together, creating a single larger soul with a stronger Soul Power.

And that's not even the end of it, because, due to the uniqueness of the technique, it actually allows two different beast tamers who cultivated the technique to further combine their souls.

That's how the two bodyguards had managed to overpower Elder Li's Divine Sense.

But, just think for a moment, even though the combined power was determined by how many high-rank demonic beasts, a beast tamer had, imagine how terrifying it would be if the hundreds of disciples in the Demonic Beast Division combine their Soul Power.

If two late Core Formation cultivators had the power to defeat an early Nirvana realm expert in terms of Soul Power, then what about a dozen of them? Or hundreds of them? Would their Soul Power be on par with a Legendary Sage realm expert's?

And that's only mentioning the combined power of the Core Formation disciples, there are obviously disciples within the Wu Clan that have reached the Nirvana realm, and have cultivated the Soul Convergence.

It's only safe to say that the Wu Clan being the third strongest power on planet Daiyu is well deserved. All of their Legacy Techniques were as powerful or even more powerful than the Soul Convergence Scripture.

----

As Longmin thought about this, he asked, "How many high-rank demonic beasts do you have?"

If his two bodyguards were able to overpower an early stage Nirvana realm's Divine Sense Soul Power with their own, then that means they either had a high number of peak tier rank 3 demonic beasts or one of them had a low tier rank 4 demonic beast.

When Longmin asked his question, the two black robe men glance at each other with hesitant expressions.

Seeing this, Longmin frowned and said, "It's okay if you don't wish to say."

The two black robe men saw Longmin's frown and immediately started panicking.

They quickly cupped their fist and with bowed heads, one of them said, "Young master don't be angry. The reason why we are so hesitant to answer is that our teacher, the Head Elder of the Demonic Beast Division, has advised us to not carelessly divulge the number and strength of our tame beasts."

The other black-robed bodyguard pick up and said, "But since it's a request from the young master, we would be willing to answer young master's question, if young master really wishes to know."

Longmin waved his hand dismissively and said, "It's fine, you don't have to answer if that's the case."

Longmin then turned around and stared off into the distance, watching the clouds and mountains passed by.

The two bodyguards at the back looked at each other for a second and then looked away.

They were having the same thoughts, that their young master, despite being the patriarch's son and having a high status, acted differently than if someone was in his position.

Having his question going unanswered by his subordinates had definitely upset him, but he didn't lash out in any way and just let be.

The two bodyguards knew that some young nobles would have seen that as disrespect and have them punish when they went back to the clan. But from the looks of Longmin's behavior, he didn't seem to have such intentions.
