The 8th Figure

The other 7 people just nodded at this, but you could sense the reverence they have for their ancestor, but their joy was quickly splashed with cold water when they heard what the dwarf had to say next.

"Idiots..." The dwarf muttered under his breath. "Did you not stop to think he might come back the same way he was before?!" The others shuttered at this even the hooded figure could be seen visibly shaken.

Everyone quickly stopped their celebrating and looked downcast. This time it was a handsome looking middle-aged human male with blonde hair that went down barely past his ear that took the initiative to add to the subject. "Do you not remember what he said before he died? He said "With my death, I hope this world can finally see peace. And as long as nothing goes against my will and my descendants are treated fairly, I will help uphold peace throughout the world." Him coming back would actually do us a favor!" He had a smug smile on his face after finishing reciting the Demon King's last words.

Duristren harshly slapped the table and sighed at the human. "Don't listen to Alexander just like the rest of the humans he's an idiot. Hmmm..." He rubbed his chin with a thinking expression on his face. "And since everyone here is a direct descendant of one of the heroes, and that makes us the respective leaders of our race that would make you the head idiot of the humans, Hishihishihishi." he let out a boisterous laugh.

"That's rich coming from a damn midget." Alexander glared at the so-called 'midget'

"Duristren, I understand where you're coming from." This voice making an appearance caused all the people in the room to go silent and look at its owner. A blonde youthful Demigod who had blue eyes, a chiseled jawline, his blonde hair going past his shoulders, an almost godlike body, and a stern, but soft voice.

Demigods, one of the top 3 strongest races in the world. They had the closest connection in the world to the gods given that their abilities are weakened versions of the powers of gods. Basically half-gods, given the name Demigods.

"Alexander." The leader of the Demigods called out, causing Alexander to shiver.

"What is it, Licht?" Alexander said in a weak voice.

"What do you think of the demons?" This question shocked everyone around the table, but he still answered.

"That they all should be put to death just like their king." He answered casually with no hesitation in his voice.

"Now think about his last words and what you just said and the actions your race has committed these past 2000 years."

Alexander already knew what he was talking about so it didn't take him long to get his point.

"So what if broke his rules? Do you honestly believe that he will do anything to us? Did you forget that the 7 heroes, OUR ancestors defeated him, and have a high chance to be in the process of being reborn into this world right now along with him, if his spell actually worked, and by looking at the damage this weather is causing it's pretty accurate to say it did, so what's there to fear? His smug smile back again looking like he just defeated the Demon King himself.

The 8th cloaked figure that's been silent all this time just sighed and finally took the chance to speak. "We should be fine for 18 years."

"18 years1?" Everyone at the table gasped.

"What do you mean my lord?" The leader of the Draconians asked with the respect that wasn't befitting of their race which was half-dragons who were known for their pride.

The cloaked figure just glanced at him and replied. "During his final moments, we were able to alter the effects of his spell by some miracle-"

"Altered!?"Everyone was shocked, but the cloaked figure kept going ignoring the interruption.

"-he should be able to only use 1% of his power at max until he's 18, at that point, he will gradually get his power back. We can decide what to do with him in the time we were given.
