Comet?

21,000 years later,

On a rocky patch in the forest of Acton city,

A young boy, around 10 years old, could be seen, with his hands on his knees while standing panting heavily. Sweat dripped from his chin as he bent exhausted.

When he raised his face, an average-looking face could be seen. His skin was toned, from being too long in the sun for each day. He had short white hair and an inverted triangular face with bow-shaped lips. He had black eyes, He had a slender body with chiseled muscles.

Michael stood up and looked at his hands which were rough for someone his age. It has been 4 years since he started training his body. One day during dinner, Erica, his step-mother suggested he should start training his body as this would put a small influence on what type of intent one would awaken.

There were many other factors that put a great influence on the type of intent one awakens. People, no matter how low would want to increase their chance of awakening a high tier intent.

Michael readily accepted, he was no different from others, he also wanted to awaken a high tier intent with a high tier talent.

Michael started training in body ever since, it has been already been 4 years. He had forgotten just how many times he had trained himself so hard he couldn't stand up. He has always been a determined individual, once he decided on something he would complete the task no matter how hard it is.

"Well, that should be enough for today. I better get home before it gets dark." Michael immediately rushed home before his body would give up on him. He always tries to surpass himself every day he heads out to train.

Acton city,

"Mom I'm home" Michael shouted as he opened the door and walked into the house. Michael immediately smelled a great aroma coming from the kitchen.

"Okay, dear. Dinner will read shortly, go freshen up till then." Erica, his stepmother's voice came from the kitchen.

Michael rushed to his room. He went to take a warm bath. He always baths with warm water as it helps wear down the fatigue, but nothing beats a good night's sleep.

Ten minutes later, Michael freshened up and came downstairs, his eyes met with a wonderful sight of the table. Erica prepared his favourite food.

"How was your training today?" Erica asked while inviting Michael over to the dining table.

"It was okay, I was able to hold on 30 minutes more than my usual time." He stated proudly.

"Where are Ciara and Dad?" Michael questioned Erica before she could do something else.

"They went to the west part of the city to get some information about the awakening ceremony, they will be back at any moment," Erica replied with her usual calm voice.

Michael had a surprised expression on his face. He got so engrossed in training that he forgot that of was almost time for the awakening ceremony.

"What's with the expression of yours. Don't tell me you forgot about it." they heard a girl's voice. She was Ciara, Michael's stepsister. She had long waist-length black hair with abyss black eyes. She had fair well-toned skin.

"Welcome back, dear. Any news about the awakening ceremony?" asked Erica inviting them over to the dining table.

"Nothing new, as usual, it will be held on the first day of the new year, which is the day after tomorrow." A man who looked to be in his mid-thirties responded while taking a seat next to Erica, he was Michael's stepfather, Nicholas.

Thirty minutes later, everyone was done with their meal. Michael was about to leave for his room to get a good night's sleep when he heard Erica's voice,

"Michael, go to the forest and get me some herbs for me, you too Ciara."

"Sure mom." Both Clara and Michael said at the same time.

They both left the house and started walking towards the forest. They chose to walk to the forest as they resided considerably near the forest.

While they were on their way to the forest, Ciara questioned Michael in an unsure manner,

"Do you think we should go to the library to get some information about the academies within the continent?"

"Sure why not, it will be helpful, we would be able to determine which academy to choose if we get recruited by any."

Michael responded with certainty. She couldn't go to the library alone as it was situated in the eastern part of the city, She cheered up hearing this as reading books was her hobby and information about the world around her was what she sought.

After a thirty minutes walk, they finally reached the forest.

"Do you know where can we find those herbs mom asked for?" questioned Ciara with an exhausted look on her face.

"Those herbs that mom asked for are somewhat deep within the outer area of the forest, where I train, we should be there in twenty more minutes."

"Twenty more minutes!" she exclaimed.

They only encountered a few mortal grade beasts as they were still in the outer area of the forest.

Soon they reached the same rocky patch where Michael usually trained.

The herbs that Erica asked them to bring back home were just common mortal grade herbs. It did not take them much time to gather the herbs. They were heading back home when Ciara yelled in an excited tone while pointing towards the sky,

"Look, Michael. It's a comet."

Turning his gaze towards the sky, where she was pointing, Michael saw a comet engulfed in blue flames. It was headed towards the outer area of the forest.

BOOM

They soon heard a loud sound. The comet crashed somewhere near them.

"Come on let's go, it crashed somewhere near us. Let's find out what it is." Ciara said pulling him towards the crash site of the comet.
