"Kadyo Dimacuycuy", was a modest, hardworking farmer. He tills the earth, plowing, and planting crops.
His meager earnings were barely enough, after deducting the operational expenses; fertilizers, insecticides, fuel, pumping and irrigation system, labor-manpower, harvesting,milling, etc.
As the crops were being planted, they've already been consigned (and paid for) by a trader. "Kadyo", will deduct his operating expenses from the lump sum, and sees to it, that the crops will be ready for pick-up, on the appointed time for delivery.
Before engaging into any deal, initial discussion usually takes place, haggling for the intended price (amount). This is the crux of the matter, for he has to be extremely cautious, and avoid getting outsmarted. Making sure, that the consignee, shouldn't bargain below the marginal price limit.
