The Portable Dungeon

Drake, a game developer, after finally finishing creating his new game called "Dungeons and Mayhem", gets sucked into a parallel world where swords and magic rule the continent, as well as where various monsters and dangerous creatures roam about. The only forgiving thing is that he was transported with a benefit where he doesn't know left to right, and that is the power to view and manipulate the status! Of a dungeon of course. End To The First (1)

"Om nom nom nom…"

After getting a good's night rest, I went to the kitchen and had breakfast, and the food I was eating was bread and canned food.

"I'll need to learn how to dismantle animals if I want to get by with enough food… Nom… Nom…"

I gulped down the food and took a glass of water.

"Dungheohn Hmenhu. ( <Dungeon Menu> ) "

I opened up the <Dungeon Menu> while a toothpick was cleaning the inside of my mouth.

MP: 990

'No problems here…'

By the way, the computation for the total expended MP was this:

Void Horned Rabbits = 40 x 5 = 200

Void Wild Boars = 55 x 5 = 275

T-Bone Steak = 20 x 3 = 60

Golden Bone = 10 x 3 = 30

Huge Carrot = 15 x 3 = 45

Total: 610

Subtracting it from my current MP reserve which was 1000 MP left me with 390 MP, which then went up to 990 MP after the defense last night.

Ever since the raid of the wolves from yesterday, there was no attack that came next. By the way, I had a new summon option in the <Summon> tab.

Monster Species: Night Wolf

Special Ability: Shadow Bite

Threat Level: F+ (E in packs)

Cost: 15 MP

Influence from the Dungeon: Gains the special ability <Dimension Dive> and increases agility. Raises <Threat Level> by 2 ranks.

Additional Cost: 40 MP

[Shadow Bite] – Bites a target dealing physical damage. Darkness attribute is imbued in the bite, dealing bonus damage.

[Dimension Dive] – Dives inside another dimension becoming unable to attack and immune to all incoming damage and crowd control. Inside the dimension, the user will have increased speed for 5 seconds. Moving leaves a trail of light.

The monster that was defeated last night was now can now be summoned. What's more, the ability the wolves have was an offensive tool that deals attribute and physical damage! Moreover, the <Influence from the Dungeon> option granted a new ability that allows them to have increased speed while being immune to attacks, another repositioning tool. Too bad it didn't have complete invisibility unlike <Phase Shift> the Void Horned Rabbits have.

"But the sad part about this is the <Dungeon Level>."

Because of the <Dungeon Level> that didn't go up from the fight last night, I was unable to summon a single Night Wolf inside my dungeon. Of course, I could always unsummon a Void Horned Rabbit, but doing so will just lower my MP once I summon a Night Wolf.

For now, I left the <Dungeon Menu> alone and exited my dungeon, by going through the <Pocket Dimension> entrance that I left behind beside my poor construction of a temporary shelter.

I went through the ominous-looking portal and arrived at my destination, the huge rock was still here, but my shelter was torn down.

"Looks like the wolves crashed this place huh…?"

There were footprints here and there which indicated the wolves roaming around here, probably encircling the portal due to curiosity.

"Now, where was I supposed to head again?"

Ahah!! I remembered my conversation with TB. No 2 and headed towards the river. 200 meters South was it? I walked through the trees and grassy ground and after a few minutes of walking, I arrived at a flowing river.

"Now then, next is to head upstream and set up a base at a good location."

By the way, the base that I am talking about is an entrance to my dungeon for monsters to enter. That way, even if I am not inside my dungeon, monsters can come to and fro, making it possible to farm MP while I am going on my travels. Thankfully, because of the protection the organizers gave me, I am still stuck on easy mode for about 28 more days. Once that duration ends, well, I hope that my dungeon is strong enough to repel hell mode monsters.

I walked along upstream for about 2 hours until I encountered a waterfall with a height of 15 meters. Along the way to the waterfall, I encountered a bunch of Horned Rabbits and a single Wild Boar. I could do with the Horned Rabbits one on one or one on two, but spare me from the encountering with two Wild Boars. I'd definitely die if I fought with two of them.

The Horned Rabbits, after getting used to their attack patterns, was I able to kill them swiftly after dodging them once. Of course, I sustained injuries along the way to get used against the attacks of the rabbits, but thanks to the <Health Potion> that was given to me by TB no. 2, the wounds were of no worries.

The problem lied with the Wild Boar. To kill that bastard, I had to climb another tree which took up my stamina and lunged at it the moment it crashed its head on the trunk with my sword held towards its crown.

Afterwards, I had to take a break because of the physical and mental fatigue of the fight for 20 minutes, and went back to walking.

And now, at present, a majestic and beautiful waterfall enveloped my sight. With its graceful water flowing down the cliff, and the rigorous splashing of water at the bottom, it was as if only the waterfall was the center of the world.

"I never did go sightseeing back on Earth… Perhaps I should've done it once…"

My life back on Earth flashed before my eyes, before I dismissed them without question.

"Anyway, this is a good spot to place the entrance of my dungeon, and what place none other than the cave at the back of the waterfall would make sense."

Actually, scratch that, I'll just place it on one of the trees here. As if there is a hidden cave behind that waterfall, this isn't some kind of cliché fantasy story.

"How do I place it anyway?"

Do I just place my hand on the tree while saying, "Create Dungeon Entrance!" or something?

"<Create Dungeon Entrance>!"

After I said that, the tree morphed into something that was not a tree, at the same time, it was a tree. Actually, it just looked like a big tree with a huge trunk and a hole at the middle of it leading down.

I entered the dungeon just for the sake of testing it and it brought me to a dark place with a holographic window in front of me prompting for my choice.

[Where would you like to go <Dungeon Master> Drake?]

[First Floor]

[Dungeon Master Quarters]

[Dungeon Core Room]

"Ohh… So this is like administrator privileges when logging in."

Unlike for beings who are sent to the <First Floor> with no questions asked, a <Dungeon Master> in charge of the dungeon can freely teleport anywhere in the dungeon.

While on the topic, the reason why this didn't appear the first time I went inside the dungeon was because it was the 'first time' so I was immediately sent to the <Dungeon Master Quarters> and was supposed to explore, and also, because there was still no <First Floor>.

I went back outside and made a satisfied look.

"Well with this, one of my bases is completed. Now then, where shall I head next?"

Just as I said that, my eyes picked up something shining from behind the waterfall.

"D-Don't tell me…?"
