I placed my phone down and looked over my shoulder at Daniel, who was doing much better than when he came inside.
"Are you sure you can trust Keith Knoxwell? I know he didn't agree to collude with us, but that doesn't make him any better than any of us." Daniel noted in a crass tone.
I scoffed and slipped the flashdrive into my front pocket. "That's not for you to worry about, Keith is my problem. Now it's time for you to explain yourself. What the hell is your deal and why should I trust you?' I took a risk and trusted this list he sent me, but that was only because he promised he had information I would find useful.
Daniel let out a prolonged sigh and said to me. "Kian, there might be a chance that your mother is alive."
"What?" I sharply retorted, too stunned out of my mind to speak. Agnes had died years ago, unless he was talking about her ghost, his joke wasn't the least bit funny.
