The Shrouded Truth

As Seth reached the cavern, he discovered the source of the light: a torch with crimson flames flickering, casting shifting shadows on the walls. Positioned in the center of the vast cavern, its mesmerizing glow illuminated every corner.

On the walls, Seth observed a myriad of ancient runes etched into the stone. Upon closer examination, he realized that these symbols were not incantations but rather words of hatred, insults, and curses. The authors of these inscriptions, presumably slaves, had aimed these words at their oppressors but had never had the opportunity to voice them. These markings were the remnants of tormented souls, expressing their anger and resentment on the walls, like cavemen attempting to leave a trace of their suffering in this oppressive darkness.

As Seth was engrossed in reading these grim words, a buzzing sound followed by the clattering of footsteps startled him.
