Synopsis
In the blasted remnants of a world where the Pantheon descended in fury, cities crumbled like sandcastles against a vengeful tide, and humanity was purged in a divine conflagration. Among those claimed by the wrath of Egyptian gods was Jaede, the last to stand and the last to fall. But death was not the end—only a grim prelude. Now, entombed within the suffocating darkness, Jaede awakens with curses on his lips and desolation in his heart. Swathed in ancient linens, his hands grip a scythe eager for divine blood—Amenti's Whisper. The cold weapon demands a terrible price; to slay the gods in their hidden realm, to drink deeply of their ichor, and in doing so, to unveil the cataclysmic truths lost to the sands.
Driven by vengeance, guided by the scythe's insatiable hunger, Jaede rises as a mummy reborn. His journey is one of relentless pursuit through a landscape both eerily familiar and hauntingly alien—a true Egypt shrouded from mortal eyes, where gods tread with impunity, and mythic beasts own the night. Jaede's odyssey lures him into the clutches of cults worshipping the fallen gods, pits him against villains who dance to the twisted tunes of power, and swathes him in the mysteries of a world torn asunder. Along the way, he encounters unlikely allies, former foes wearing the faces of acquaintances, and amidst the chaos, a love interest whose fate is entwined with his own—a flame in the everlasting gloom.
