Chapter 22

Maya Pov

He was coming back tonight. I was back at the villa. Raffael was at the door the minute he left to take me back. I was surprised, I thought the apartment was my new location but apparently not. To be fair I did enjoy the villa. I was allowed to walk the grounds with Raffael and I had Maria to talk too. But the house was very quiet without Lorenzo and Alessio. I was guessing Alessio was also off where ever they went. My guess was Mexico, after what happened during dinner it was expected.

Pinning my hair in place, I heard cars pulling into the driveway. It was mid afternoon, the sun was at its highest. I don't know why I was nervous, it's just been three days. But a lot could have happened. Before I let myself think about it the door opened revealing Maria. Today was her day off I told her she could spend it with me instead of spending it alone in her quarters.

"Wow, Maya your look beautiful" she says closing the door behind her
