Chapter 84: The Alliance

"Oh! I'm glad that you made it, Lu Zhen"

Zeus greeted a man with long black hair tied into a ponytail, and dark golden eyes that revealed no trace of emotion, wearing a large robe that reached and covered his feat, similar to the designs of an ancient chinese attire.

"Old Man"

Lu Zhen called out before waving his hand towards the retainers behind him, causing all of them to nod their heads before scattering across the conference room.

The conference room is an extremely large room that houses thousands of people from all of the factions in the supernatural world, decorated by large golden chandeliers and delicate designs on the decorations of the furniture present in the venue.

"You came here as the representative of the Chinese Cultivators right?"

Zeus asked as he signalled for him to sit down beside him, on the large round table that is meant to house all of the faction leaders across the globe for the conference for this evening, regarding the upcoming war against the invaders of their home.

"Yes... I thought I came in late but... I guess that isn't that case"

Lu Zhen muttered while glancing around the table where only the Supreme Gods, and the Maous were situated at. All waiting for the rest of the guest to arrive for the conference.

"Please forgive us if we're late..."

An extremely beautiful woman with pale, white, rosy skin wearing a gothic outfit that complimented her sharp facial features and blood red eyes.

"Lady Carmilla, you look as beautiful as ever"

Zeus complimented with a gentle smile on his face, which caused Carmilla to snort before sitting down on the table.

"Old man... From what I've heard you already met this Lucias Frey, correct?"

Lu Zhen asked as the waiter brought them a glass of wine to entertain themselves while they wait.

"Yes I did, almost all of the supreme gods here has already met him yesterday"

Zeus answered as Odin, together with a silver haired Valkyrie arrived from a large portal set up by the Forsaken Faction to make sure that each representatives arrive safely in the venue.

"What is he like?"

Lu Zhen asked, ignoring the perverted grin that Odin has as soon as he saw Carmilla's slender figure.

"If I have to describe his personality... I guess a bit prideful, but not too much since he appear humble to those who he look at as allies. He is also quite unrestrained and will kill anyone who provokes his subordinates so you have to be careful of your words when he arrives here"

Zeus answered, remembering his first impression of Lucias based on what he saw from the short conversation that they had yesterday.

"Oh"

Lu Zhen muttered without a single change in his expression causing Zeus to wryly smile from his lack of reaction.

"My, it seems like everyone is getting along"

Michael said with a gentle smile on his face as he walked out of the portal together with Gabriel and Uriel that will serve as his companions for this conference.

"Evening"

Governor greeted with a yawn as he arrived at the venue together with Baraqiel, Shemhazai, and his daughter, Virgil, before sitting next to Sirzechs who was talking the servants who was responsible for entertaining the guest outside of the conference table.

"You haven't changed at all, Azazel"

Zeus commented at his casual attitude in front of high ranking officials from different factions and mythologies around the globe.

Slowly more and more representatives came inside the conference room, sat at a random seat in the conference table, all while avoiding the representatives that they have conflict with to avoid creating a small bout inside a potential ally's territory.

"Good evening, everyone. I hope I'm not late"

Yasaka said as she arrived at the venue together with Kunuo who was looking around in awe due to the luxurious interior of the venue.

"There's so many people..."

Kunuo muttered before trembling out of nervousness, causing her to unconsciously tighten her hand around Yasaka's hand.

"Where's Papa?"

Kunuo asked as she tried to search for the familiar figure of her father to find comfort and relieve her nervousness, since Lucias has always gave her a sense of security like nothing could lay a finger on her as long as his around.

"Papa still hasn't arrived yet, Kunuo. Stay with Mom for the meantime, alright?"

Yasaka said causing Kunuo to obidiently nod her head in response before sitting down on Yasaka's lap, causing her head to slightly bury themselves on Yasaka's breast.

"Oh! It's a pleasure to meet you, Yasaka-san"

Odin eagerly greeted with a perverted smile on his face while glancing at Yasaka's large breast hidden beneath her long, gold kimono.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Odin-sama"

Yasaka greeted without minding his weird behaviour while Kunuo glared at the perverted geezer in front of her.

-Flashback-

"You see that person, Kunuo?"

Lucias asked while pointing his finger at Issei, Motohama, and Matsuda, sitting underneath a metal bridge as they peeked underneath the girl's skirt who climbed up the bridge to get to the other side of the street.

"What are they doing, Papa?"

Kunuo asked as she cutely pulled his sleeves, causing Lucias to wryly smile before trying his best to explain it to her without ruining her innocence.

"They're... uh... how do I explain this... bad people! Yes, bad people who want to hurt those girls"

Lucias said with an awkward smile on his face, while Yasaka nodded in understanding.

"Remember, Kunuo, when you see someone staring at you or your mother like that, always be cautious and call me. I'll protect you two from those bad guys, alright?"

"W-Will they hurt us?"

"Y-Yes... they'll hurt you so be careful around them"

"Mn! I understand papa!"

"Bad guy"

Kunuo muttered while glaring at the man in front of her with a cautious expression on her face, recognising the perverted smile that he has on his face that was somewhat similar to the 3 perverts in her memory.

"I will call papa"

Kunuo muttered as she took out a brand new mobile phone from her pockets that she recieved from Lucias, but was unable to use it often due to the large restrictions placed on the network application of the phone, to avoid her accidentally searching something that she should not.

"You're daughter doesn't seem to like me that much"

Odin said, noticing the hostility within Kunuo's eyes as she glared at her like looking at her life-long enemy.

"She's always like that around strangers, but she's a sweet child once you get to know her better"

Yasaka said before another large portal was created behind her, causing all of them to look back as a single human, wearing a neat tuxedo together with 4 large men serving as his bodyguard.

"A human?"

Yasaka muttered in shock together with the other Supreme Gods as they didn't expect for a human to arrive at their conference.

"What's the meaning of this?"

Zeus asked in a grave tone while staring at Sirzechs with a hostile expression on his face for dragging the humanity to their conference.

"Zeus-san, please calm down, we invited them... since they'll lose a lot of their numbers in this war if they still remain ignorant of the events that might happen in the future"

Sirzechs explained causing Zeus to stand up from his seat but was stopped by Lu Zhen who shook his head to the sides.

"He has a point, they'll get wiped out at this rate if they still remain ignorant of the supernatural world... It's better to have them here"

"They're humans, do you all even remember their nature? They'll kill anything that could interfere with progress, and is willing to sacrifice anything for it! They will only drag us down if they get enticed by our enemies"

One of the Supreme Gods protested in a loud voice, causing the entire conference room to be divided in half were one doesn't care if they joined, while the other protested their participation for the conference.

"I'm already aware of it, but they're desperate right now, so I doubt that they'll turn against us"

Sirzechs said causing the human to nervously sit down as he glanced around in awe from seeing such legendary beings who they thought only existed withon stories.

"What... Don't tell me"

"They already know, it seems like those invaders have attacked the human realm yesterday while most of us were busy fending off our enemies... Many have already died in their race, and the governments all over the world has implemented martial law in their respective countries to protect their citizens... I only gave them an alternative to give them a chance to survive in the upcoming war"

Sirzechs revealed, causing most of the representatives around the table to frown from hearing such sudden news.

"Do you think, Lucias-sama would agree to this?"

Zeus asked causing Sirzechs' face to distort in a complexed expression on his face.

"We'll have to try"

Sirzechs said causing Zeus to sigh before sitting back down at his seat, as another portal appeared behind the round table.

"I hope I'm not late"

A beautiful woman with long jet black hair, and a slender figure said while wearing a white kimono that complimented her soft and pale complexion.

"Amaterasu-sama"

Yasaka greeted causing Amaterasu to smile before sitting next to Yasaka, causing Kunuo to look at her in surprise.

"Grandma?"

"Don't call me Grandma, Kunuo... I'm not that old yet"

She said causing the rest of the faction leader around her to awkwardly avert their eyes from her words, fully knowing how old she truly is but decided to keep quite out of respect for her.

"So the only one who hasn't arrived yet is Lucias-sama, correct?"

Governor asked as all representative sat down on their respective seats.

"Yes, Lucias-sama is the only one left who hasn't arrived yet"

Sirzechs answered as a large portal, decorated by a large insignia that most of them recognized appeared behind the last remaining seat right next to Serafall, causing all the representatives to stiffen in respone while some of them glanced around in confusion.

"It looks like I'm the last one to arrive"

A deep and magnetic voice said as Lucias came out of the portal, wearing a black texudo that complimented his sharp looks while a coat was hanged loosely on his shoulder, causing the girls around the table to dazedly stare at his appearance with flushed cheeks.

"I knew it would be a bad idea to come here without my sealing rings..."

"Lucias, it would take 2 more days until it is fully made so we had no choice but to work with what we have now"

Asia said with a soft smile on her face as she along with three figures wearing a dark robe that covered their bodies entered the venue.

"That's the head of the Fosaken Faction?"

"Isn't he... a bit too young?"

Whispers suddenly echoed around the round table, questioning Lucias' identity causing both Michael and Sirzechs to fake a cough to get their attention.

"Sirzechs, I don't have much time so shut them up and let's start already"

Lucias said as Kunuo ran towards him with a sweet smile on her face.

"*Cough* then... Since everyone has arrived, them let's immediately start the conference. The guests in the banquet hall, please don't make too much noise and servants please prepare a place for all of them to sit at"

Sirzechs ordered causing all of the devils to obidiently follow his ordered as they quickly prepared all of the tables and chairs for the guest to sit at as the conference starts.

"Grayfia, please write down everything that we may discuss in this conference"

Sirzechs requested causing Grayfia to nod her head in response before walking towards the side where a small table was located, complete with all of the equipments that she may need for the minutes of the meeting.

"As you all may have known, we have all been faced in a similar situation across the globe where our territories were ransacked by this "invaders". I believe that most of you are already aware of their capabilities since you all have experienced fighting them at least once in your own country"

Sirzechs started causing the entire venue to quite down as they all listened carefully to his words since this will decide the fate of their faction.

"For this conference, we will discuss our future actions in dealing with those "invaders" from before. For the first topic... I would like to propose an temporary alliance between all of the factions around the globe"

Sirzechs announced causing small whispers to scatter around the round table while some remained silent as they already expected that this might happen.

"An alliance? That isn't as easy as you say it is, Sirzechs Lucifer"

One of the Supreme Gods retorted causing Sirzechs to smile in understanding before directly looking at his direction.

"The alliance will only devour us weaker factions..."

"If that's what you're worried about then do not worry, this alliance is not about complete integration but more on independent action, since its almost impossible to move as one whole force if we want to protect the entirety of our dimension"

Sirzechs explained before ordering for his servants to place a small pile of paper in front of every representatives around the table.

"We will impose certain restrictions on the alliance to avoid this from happening. First, each and everyone one of you isn't allowed to interfere too much with each other, and only focus on executing the task at hand"

Sirzechs said before glancing at Lucias who was watching them with a disinterested expression on his face.

"Second, each and everyone will receive access to weaponry and food based on equity, meaning the rations and aid will be given based on the overall situation of your territory, but please do mind that we won't privide everything, so everyone in the alliance still have to solve a part of this problem by yourselves"

"I have a question"

The human representative said as he raised his hand in the air.

"What will happen if we run out of supplies? Will the stronger factions monopolize the supply once this happen?"

"Do not worry, we have a powerful sponsor that will ensure that we will never round out of supplies be it food, weaponry, or clothes. They will provide everything for us during the war. And... we will not let this happen, most of the stronger factions doesn't even require that much food ration since our physiques can still fight even if we don't consume anything for months. We can use the mana around us to provide our cells with the nutrients that we need to survive"

Sirzechs answered with a light smile on his face causing the human to nod his head in satisfaction before sitting back down at his seat.

"For the 3rd condition, no one is allowed to attack each other on the alliance even after the war is over, or else we will treat this as treason and get rid of your faction ourselves, so you all don't have to be afraid of being attacked in your vulnerable state"

Sirzechs said causing some of them to look at him with a skeptical expression on their faces, but decided to just stay silent as they continued reading the terms and conditions of the alliance.

"We listed more conditions and terms on the contract, but 3 conditions that I said will be the main ones, you can raise your hand if you have any objection of the contract and we will try our best to fix everything by tomorrow"

Sirzechs said as he glanced at the representatives around the table who all sighed before placing the contract on the table.

"Like we have any choice, I doubt that the weaker factions would survive in this war if we don't seek help from you monsters... We just hope that you can secure the safety of our people, then we will wholeheartedly agree with the alliance"

One of the supreme gods said as he closed the contract in his hands.

"... That's a bit difficult, we will give you most of the things that you'll need to survive but we can't monitor your territories 24/7 since we all have individual task at hand, especially the 4 main factions since they will be the ones to drive the war"

Sirzechs said causing all of them to hold a difficult expression on their faces before another representative raise their hand.

"What do you mean by "task", Sirzechs Lucifer?"

He asked causing Sirzechs to glance at Lucias, signalling for him to take over.

"The 4 main factions will be the one to truly fight the war and capture the territories that has been swarmed by those invaders. The rest of you... you're main tasks is to defend. Act like a wall to fend them off and keep them from multiplying. Within your territories. While we act as a cannon, we will scatter our forces around the globe to aid and wipe out any dimensional rift that may occur across the globe"

Lucias explained with a serious expression on his face while patting her daughter's head.

"We are against an enemy that is multiple times the number of our own forces, so it's a bit risky to ask for you all to contribute your own forces in the battlefield since defending alone is already hard enough"

Lucias said as the human representative raise his hand to ask another questions.

"So our only task is to defend our own countries?"

"Yes, don't let them expand their territory since they will use it as a breeding ground to increase their numbers. We will send reinforcements if necessary, but remember that I can't take offense and defense at the same time during the war, since I still have limited number of soldiers"

Lucias answered before glancing at the representatives of each mythologies.

"... You humans should've have a chance to survive if you found out about the existence of the supernatural world long ago, since you're speciality is adaptation and development. But right now, the technology of humanity will hold little to nod significance in this war, so humanity will need to work together with other mythologies in thie respective countries"

Lucias said before tapping his finger on top of the contract in front of him.

"Remember, "Work together" so the gods of mythologies, I don't want to here anything about suppression and control over humanity during the war or else... I'll wipe your existence clean from this dimension"

Lucias warned causing some of the Supreme Gods to gulp in fear as they removed any unnecessary thoughts in their heads.

"Also, humanity has something that many of this Mythological Gods lack"

Lucias said causing the representative of humanity to raise his head in response.

"You have experience and intellect when it comes to actual warfare. Most of the gods here deal with wars in a straightforward manner, attack and that's it since Gods are accustomed in dealing with everything through their strength and prestige while humanity has none of them. So they made incredibly intellectual designs, strategies, formation, and tactics when it comes to warfare. Humanity has intellect and wisdom that most gods don't have because humanity has experienced and struggled to survive and thrive for the last hundreds of years"

Lucias said with a light smile on his face.

"That's what I said when "working together", an alliance is there to cover up the weaknesses of each individual faction and country. Humanity has wisdom while the factions have strength, in this war, tactics is everything since if you want to deal with them using only strength..."

Lucias paused before showing a large frown on his face as he continued his words.

"... Then you're just asking for you own death since they can easily outnumber every single one of you... and the more they kill, the more they get stronger, so avoid being eaten after your death is the most concerning factor that we must consider before the war"

Luckas added as another representative raise his hand.

"If we're only dealing with our own territory, then wouldn't it be better if we didn't have an alliance in the first place?"

He asked causing Lucias' expression to distort as he looked at him like he was an idiot.

"Do you really think that your forces are enough to face them? If I could do that, I wouldn't have decided to join this worthless alliance in the first place"

Lucias said with a complicated expression on his face before continuing his words.

"The alliance is there to bring everyone together and join forces, to avoid any unnecessary conflicts between us during the war, and provide assistance to each other during times of need. You strength isn't enough to ward them off, that's why I will personally distribute weapons to each soldiers of each faction to help, but without the alliance, I wouldn't think of doing this since some of you might stab me in the back if that's the case"

Lucias added causing the representative to sit down in response with an embarrassed expression on his face.

"This is to ensure that we minimize the casualties on our sides, I don't want any of you to feed our enemies to make them stronger just because of your own weakness. This is to ensure survival and avoid empowering them more than now"

Lucias said causing all of them to nod or sigh in understanding as silence, slowly devoured the entire table.

"Then, with all of that out of the way, does anyone of you have any other questions?"

Sirzechs asked as he waited for anyone to raise their hands for any questions.

"... If there's no more questions, then anyone interested in joining the alliance please sign the contract, and we will give you a copy for your own use"

Sirzechs said causing all of them to go into deep contemplation as they scanned all of the terms and conditions of the contract once more to avoid missing a loophole in the contract.

After a few more minutes, representative started signing the contracts in their own names, indicating that they agreed to join the alliance.

Odin who was stroking his long, white, beard, contemplated on his next actions as he knew some of gods will definitely oppose this decision of his.

"... Odin-sama, I am in favour of this alliance, we must consider the safety of our people above anything else"

One of the Valkyries standing behind him advised, causing him to sigh before placing the tip of his pen on the contract, but froze as a loud familiar voice suddenly shouted in the conference room, causing his voice to echo throughout the room.

"I OPPOSE!!!!"

A handsome young man with sharp eyes and light blue hair that floats behind him with two small bangs shouted causing all of the guests and representative in the room to turn their heads at his location.

"Loki..."

Odin called out, ignoring the tired expression that Lucias held while staring at the god floating above them.

"... Those guys really do have a weird fetish of interrupting us..."
