Chapter 1Chapter 1- The Apocalypse Begins

Sensation fades away as four beings enveloped in soft, white light. They are floating, disembodied, and without connection to the mortal plane—soon colour beings to fill them.

One Purple. "What the hell?". The South African accent boy said out loud. He is the oldest son.

One Green. "Where are we? I was about to get laid by twins!". The Greek accent asked in a pissed-off tone. He is the second son.

One Red. "... I was eating the pizza then a flash of white BAM!"

"MOTHER FUCKER! DID YOU EAT MY FOOD!". The other three souls asked the third son.

"...Yes!". His Irish mixed Asain accent is being cheeky.

And lastly, one Blue. "Oh Dios Mio te voy a matar hermano! Why would you do that, you Asain/Irish/Black-ish virgin nerd!"

"Oh, you Latin/Black/German no talent". Red shot back.

"SHUT UP! The both of you!" The oldest yelled at his brothers.

"Who cares what you think, brother!"

[2,000 later]

"I spy with my little eye-". Blue soul, the youngest brother playfully said in this stupid fucking white void. The brothers don't even remember his name anymore. They just go by colours now.

"Is it white?". Green dryly asked.

"Yes!... Now what I spy with-"

Blue doesn't finish the sentence when Red yells at him.

"If I could, I would have killed you by now. STOP with that stupid game!". Red yelled in annoyance.

Purple can't tell how long they've been here, drifting in this soothing light. Has it been ten days? Or ten years? Long enough for them to forget everything except for the fact that they are brothers, some memories of what they like, and their personalities. After 150 years, the four brothers have long forgotten their names and families. All they do know is that they are half brothers, and they really like pay per view wrestling.

Sound begins to swell like a wave in the distance. It echoes through the void.

["Welcome, You Four Brothers!"]

"Big bro!"

"Eldest sibling!"

"Brother Purple!"

Purple hear his brothers calling out to him.

["You four have died!"]

..... The void was finally quiet in a very long time.

Was this, this THING being a cheeky smartass?

"NO SHIT!!" They all shout out to the idiotic statement.

"What next? Were guys?" Blue quipped.

"Or maybe that fact we are pissed off that one is also on the table", Red added in.

["Be calm, you four will soon awaken, to experience life again in a new world".] The voice in the void countered to speak as if it doesn't give a damn about the sarcasm being thrown around by the four.

"Finally! Thank fuck for that". Green said happily. "The void voice is weird as heck, man."

Something about this voice feels familiar, a deep and gruff intonation that sounds comforting, yet also full of wisdom?

"Guys! This voice sounds like Peter Cullen!". Red said, recognizing the voice.

They love that guy. It's weird how they can remember that but not the essential things—the voice beings to talk to the brothers again.

["You four are about to hatch. Now, which is the leader, so you four will be reborn."]

Purple was in deep thought about this and-

["You have chosen the purple soul."]

"WHAT?" Purple said in shock. "When did we pick?"

[You four will be reborn in the world of Zulvorth. May destiny and luck shall determine your fate".]

Soon the void went to darkness. When I get hands again, I'm going to kill my brothers.

Located far in the southern seas of Ionian, the haunted isle of Anbus stood out sharply from the cobalt blue waters it rested on. Normally a unusual and eerie destination, the island at this moment, however, was facing a storm.

Dark and salty waters assaulted its coasts as a hurricane steadily approached. The myriad of trees that covered the land was being whipped to and fro by the tempestuous winds. Flashes of lightning brightened the sky and struck the black sandy beaches, leaving dark shards of glass from the super-heated sand.

The residents of Anbus Isle ran and hid for shelter. Living on this island for the last 5,0000 years had steeled them against the wrath of the seas. But something was different about this storm. Everyone felt an ominous presence creeping ever closer. Like the jaws of death were breathing right on the napes of their necks.

Legends of the island being cursed went back centuries and kept most outsiders from visiting. However, those who did usually heeded the warnings of the natives and did not dare enter the depths of the island's untamed jungles. Even though rare magical beasts and precious herbs made the jungles a gold mine just waiting to be tapped.

But no matter what, whoever entered the depths of the jungle did not return. The magic beats that roam this isle dare not go in these terrifying blades of wind and gale.

Deep in the earth of this old island, an ancient fortress lay immobilized in time. Yet, unbeknownst to all buried more than a hundred meters underground was a veritable castle. Complete with spires, battlements, and a courtyard, it appeared the earth one day just swallowed up some monarch's domain.

The castle of Apostles.

The Apostles are a diverse group of 13, each with varying powers and abilities. They came from various worlds and were given the name "Apostles" by the residents of Zulvorth long ago. It's somewhat difficult to gauge just how strong they truly are but are considered somewhere along the lines of demigods. The Apostles came and claimed various parts of the world, calling them their own. However, an event occurred, causing all of the Apostles to be at war with the world, generally causing problems for the land and their downfall.

In their final moments, the apostles created this castle. They transferred all their latent powers into four eggs, hoping to cast revenge on the world for betraying them.

It is time for the eggs to go to the surface.

You know, life's hard to play. But, when you finally get used to it, it throws you off a cliff and says, 'I inverted your controls!' in a loud and horribly upsetting way. Or at least I think so.

I have no memory of my past besides bits and pieces, was stuck in an endless white void with my brother, went insane, got bored of being insane, then waited...

Ding-!

-System: 3…2…1… Rebirth is successful.

The weird sensation I had before slowly faded away after the rebirth was done, and he could begin to feel his body materializing again.

'This is a weird feeling. And why can't I see yet?!' I thought.

I read enough novels and manga to know that I'm looking at an RPG or MMORPG system! As to how can I see this when I'm blind, I don't know. Or maybe the little detail on why the bloody hell I'm BLIND!!

But I am a baby? Good thing I played D&D...

What was D&D again? I don't know, but I felt like it never got me laid when I tell it to other people.

And what's up with the question marks in my name?

Ding!

[Monsters don't have names!]

Oh, that answered my question. Guess I just name myself then. But there is still the question about my race.

Ding!

[Your race isn't named yet as you are a new species in the entire world!]

...

Great, I'm a monster then... It beats the void by a long shot. So a new species it said.... mmm....

Am I the only one of my kind? Where are my brothers? And are there more reincarnated people like me, or am I a particular case?

Let do a body check. I'm quadrupedal with two extra arms, small things on my back that I think are wings? I also have a tail.

Testing out my mouth. I open my maw, and the air hits my tongue, and I could suddenly "smell" my surroundings.

Huh... I'm also part snake? Well, that would explain why my... wait, snakes can't smell their surroundings.

"Hey, big bro." I hear blue calling me.

"Blind?" I say causally

"Totally, bro"

"Red? Green?" I called out to my brothers.

"Sibling unit, I have picked up a scent that smells amazing", Red exclaimed.

"Yeah, bro... I can smell it as well. I'm hungry and thirsty as well."

"A hunting we go then..." I said.

Card Apprentice Daily Log

Dalton Wyatt, a world-renowned scientist and inventor, is transmigrated into the body of a high school student, also named Dalton Wyatt, who had tragically committed suicide due to unfortunate circumstances and a complicated life. The enchanting world of cards he finds himself in is vastly different from Earth, yet eerily similar in certain aspects. Unlike the peaceful Earth, where humans fought only amongst themselves, this new world is plagued by dungeons and monsters. Here, humanity's survival hinges on battling these mythical and legendary creatures. Ordinary mortals lack the strength to stand against such formidable foes. Thankfully, a select few are blessed with the ability to harness their souls, manifest soul power, and become card apprentices—humanity’s last hope against extinction. Card apprentices are individuals who form contracts with grimoires, mystical artifacts that allow them to wield powerful and versatile cards to fend off monsters and conquer dungeons. A grimoire provides card apprentices with abilities such as card creation and card fusion. Most importantly, it enables them to unlock their full potential in card battles. While this world shares the concept of science with Earth, its focus is not on electronics or industrialization. Instead, cards replace the need for most technologies, fulfilling even the smallest of daily necessities. This world revolves entirely around the grimoire’s abilities, particularly card creation and card fusion. Transmigrated to a place where strength can be bought with money, Dr. Wyatt is forced to earn a living to ensure his survival. Fortunately, with his otherworldly knowledge and expertise, card creation comes naturally to him, setting him apart from other card apprentices. Dr. Wyatt crafts and sells perfect, powerful, and resourceful cards, steadily growing stronger in this monster-ridden world. --- "What did you say? Making good cards is hard? Bah! Card creation is a breeze." "My friend, let me enlighten you—there are no 'trash card ingredients,' only incompetent card creationists." [Commencing card creation using ingredients, i)Bloody Veins - G Rank, Mortal Grade ii)Nyon Rope - G Rank, Mortal Grade iii)Common Core - G Rank, Mortal Grade Card creation… complete!
