The beginning.

On Earth.

Just like all the normal, talented, and talentless people living on Earth, a handsome black-haired man with obsidian black eyes who was 6.4 feet tall and had an athletic build walked up a street towards the university he had been admitted to. He wore a navy-blue blazer over the white shirt and navy-blue trousers with white loafers.

He had top two buttons unbuttoned revealing collarbones and his inverse cross locket with chained necklace. He walked up the street while staring at his phone and glancing at the road from time to time, while the bag that hung from his right shoulder dangled.

He could easily be considered one of the most talented humans; he was talented in fighting, which was a trait he inherited from his mother, and he was shrewd and astute, which were traits he inherited from his father.

He was a part of a family of five: an athletic martial arts genius mother, Lana; a genius businessman father, Tom Lane, who was running one of the top five businesses in the world; and twin brothers, Adrik Lane and Davy Lane, who inherited traits from their mother and father, one each, while being the oldest among the siblings, he, Ivan Lane, inherited both of his parents' traits.

He was talented but normal, which was what he wanted to think of himself as, for almost all of his 21 years of life.

The reason he wanted to delude himself into believing that he was normal was because every now and then he would feel strange and distant from everything and everyone, as if he wasn't supposed to be here.

After he gained consciousness and a sense of self, he was bored. He did everything he could to cure his boredom, and in everything he learned, he was called a prodigy, but there wasn't an ounce of satisfaction in those things he did. At the age of 16, he finally found something that was able to relieve his boredom, and that was...

KNOWLEDGE.

Knowledge, information, history, and science, why? At first, he thought it was because it contained wars and fights; though that was true to a certain extent, what cured his boredom was the fact that it felt "new."

And after realising that fact, he began to get curious about the present, the next moment, the next day, and so on, but it only lasted for a while until it became a habit to him. Now, he was still curious about those things, but he was still bored because he understood that he would somehow get past them, and due to the traits, he inherited from his parents, he knew for a fact that he would definitely get past everything the "now and next" had to offer.

And he returned to books for new knowledge and fun stories; they continued to be a source that relieved his boredom.

That was until he turned eighteen and got into a relationship. Though he wasn't particularly interested in the woman, he still accepted her proposal because he was curious as to what it was. The second way his boredom was relieved was by sex; he had his first time when he was 19, in his second relationship. It had now been a year and seven months since he began to date the woman he was currently in a relationship with.

His third girlfriend was particularly persistent; she somehow still hadn't left him even though he wasn't particularly offering her anything except for sex.

"Ivan!" A sweet woman's delighted voice sounded from a distance; Ivan glanced at the blonde-haired woman with bright blue eyes. She wore a navy-blue blazer over a white shirt, a navy-blue pencil skirt, and white sneakers. She was 5.9 feet tall, alluring, and statuesque.

"Inna Hill." Ivan Lane muttered under his breath.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me by my full name?" Inna, Ivan's girlfriend, complained when she heard him mutter her whole name, again, with a cute pout as she walked towards him and held his right hand before dragging him with her.

"Where to?" Ivan mumbled without offering much resistance.

"Hmmm?" She glanced at him over her shoulder with a seductive smirk and bit her lower lip.

"Any guesses?" Inna asked in anticipation.

"Library?" Ivan asked with a smirk.

"Boo." Inna pouted and dragged him to the library without complaining.

*

The library was located in a separate building outside of the university. Inna held Ivan's hand with their fingers crossed. The library was a fifty-foot-wide room, filled with books on many bookshelves, with a table for 12 in between bookshelves on the chair's back and front, two on each side.

After arriving at the library, where there were practically no people except for the librarian, she took a few books that were related to her studies while he took out a few history books that he had yet to complete from the last time.

They walked towards the other end of the library, where a certain secret place existed that they had unknowingly discovered; they walked without making any noise and sat behind a bookshelf that was two feet away from the library's other end, a gap that seemingly had formed unknowingly, and since nobody had ever seen them coming there, they made themselves comfortable while sitting down on the ground, practically sticking to each other.

After adjusting themselves more comfortably, Ivan began to read the history book with a serious, expressionless expression on his face, while Inna read hers.

*

After a few minutes.

"Hinngg~" Inna stretched her arms and glanced at Ivan from the corner of her eyes; he basically hadn't even given her a glance after he began to read his book, and because he had been like that since they had started dating, Inna didn't mind much, and she liked even that part about him: he wasn't clingy, gave her her personal space, didn't cheat, and even though she was treated as a celeb in the university, he had never treated her as such and always treated her really well, and he was pretty much everything she could ever ask for, but most importantly, he was great at sex.

At the thought of how great it felt when they made love, she couldn't help but feel aroused. She suddenly had a mischievous thought, at which she smiled seductively and leaned towards his ear.

"Ivan, why did you come walking again today, even though you can ride in the cars your family own?" Inna whispered in his ear while her lips touched his earlobe.

Ivan sighed in his heart when he understood what she was trying to accomplish by acting like that, but he decided to play along with her and see how long she can keep up with it, ".... because I didn't want to. Like always." He whispered and spoke exactly like her.

"Really?" Inna asked in a whisper with a playful smirk on her beautiful face.

Ivan nodded in response without opening his mouth.

"But...." She said and halted. Ivan frowned slightly at the abrupt halt and glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, then smirked inwardly when he saw her face turn scarlet.

"You..." She was halting at every single word, so he decided to speak because he knew that she would run out of here in embarrassment if she was the only one speaking.

"Yes?" Ivan asked and it seemed like she regained a little bit of courage to continue with her game.

"You love to ride me~" She said and kissed his earlobe before licking it.

A small pleasurable shiver cruised through his body when he heard her words and actions, because even though he expected her to kiss his earlobe, he hadn't expected her to speak out those words, even if it was only in a whisper.

"I hadn't expected you to act so boldly." Ivan said to Inna, who was busy sucking on his earlobe.

"You don't like it?" Inna asked and continued on with whatever she was trying to accomplish.

"I definitely do, but..." Ivan said in a whisper, slightly leaned towards her, placed his hand over her shoulders, slipped his hand beneath her blazer, and roughly grabbed her right mound.

"Ah~" She moaned softly in his ear, jerked back slightly, and stared at Ivan with a flustered expression. This wasn't the outcome she wanted; she just wanted to see him get flustered. But of course, he didn't let her go and leaned towards her lips, which subconsciously moved forward into a small pout, but Ivan brushed past her lips towards her ear with a playful smirk on his face.

"You shouldn't moan so loudly in the library, love~" He said it in a whisper, and only then did reality hit Inna, as she had forgotten they were still in the library, and her entire body turned stiff at the realization. But of course, he wasn't exactly planning on letting her go after she tried to seduce him.

"Anh~ App!!" She moaned again when he began to roughly grope her right mound, but this time she closed her mouth, though it was already too late. She then glared at Ivan from the corner of her slightly tear-filled eyes, but she couldn't get a proper glimpse of his face, which was on her ear.

"Good girl~" Ivan's hypnotic voice sounded in her ear, and he then bit her earlobe and pinched her right nipple at the same time. She didn't know how he pinched it, even though it was under three layers of clothes, but she felt a strange, painful yet pleasurable shiver cruise through her body.

"Mmnhm~" Inna's muffled, soft moan escaped her mouth as she closed her eyes, leaned forward, and rested her head on Ivan's right shoulder.

Ivan leaned forward a bit more and bit her neck, leaving behind a hickey. He then released his grip on her and gently pushed her back, packed his backpack, closed his and her books, before standing back up, holding the bag in his left hand, and offering Inna his right hand.

".....Thank you." She grabbed his hand, stood back up, and said but Ivan's next move surprised Inna; he grabbed both of her hands, pined her against the wall with her hands above her head, and leaned forward towards her ear.

"Let's get out of here, I'll give you what you wanted~" Ivan whispered in her ear and pressed his lower body against hers. And her eyes widened when she felt his thing on her right thigh. Though she just wanted to tease him to test the waters, she wouldn't reject such an alluring offer just because her plan slightly deviated.

Ivan was walking out of a Mart from an alleyway with a translucent handbag filled with prophylactic boxes while scrolling through his smartphone. Due to the handbag being translucent and it being filled by prophylactics, he earned a few shocked and gawking expressions from the pass biers.

But he ignored them and continued to scroll through the information on his phone with a curious expression on his face.

[More and more crystals are being discovered in the "mutated beasts" found the Amazon Forest.]

....

....

....

[It has been a year since the beasts have begun to mutate and gain the crystals, but why? What? How? Are the questions that our scientists are continuously trying to find out.]

____

'More blood crystals.' Ivan muttered in his mind and a small, ominous smile crept up from his lips.

"16th..." He mumbled under his breath. It was the sixteenth piece that he would be "purchasing" legally, of course, because the government was selling it since they didn't know its uses. Though Ivan too didn't know much about it, as soon as the first one appeared in the news, his instincts screamed at him to possess those crystals, so without hesitation he made his father buy it for him, and now he had 15 pieces of those crystals in his room.

And after spending a year with the crystal, he felt energized ever since. His body was developing faster, becoming sturdier, and becoming stronger; his mind and body felt lighter and lighter as the days passed.

RUMBLE!

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble while the sky began to rumble. Ivan stared up at the sky, ignoring what was happening on the land, because he somehow "knew" that the land wasn't the problem, but the sky was, and he was right.

The ground stopped trembling, and in an instant the sky turned dark. To check on his family, he glanced down at his smartphone, but it was glitching out before the screen turned completely black.

"KYAAA!!!"

BUMP

THUD

"URGH!!"

The people in the surroundings began to panic, and while rushing to safety, they bumped into Ivan, who hadn't moved an inch from the place he stood. He simply ignored them as if they didn't exist and continued to look at his phone, slightly panicking inwardly. The people fell face first, stomped on, pushed aside, and all the hideous things to safe their lives, and then the rumble sounding in the sky, loudened and millions of lightning bolts struck down all over the world.

"!!!"
