Morris looked at the woman behind the bars and was quick to recognize her. At first, he wondered what had caused her to be kept in here where no one would ever suspect that she would be but soon he remembered hearing a word or two from his father about the friendship between Melody and the woman. It did not quite answer his questions but it did give him an idea.
Scarlett looked at the young man who was also as good-looking as most of the men she had seen around Melody since the day she returned and wondered why there were so many good-looking guys working for one woman. Had she not known Melody, she would have thought Melody was creating a harem of good-looking men for herself.
"What happened? Did the old man die?" she asked sarcastically, mocking smirk at the corners of her lips and a look of disdain in her eyes.
"My father is very much alive, thank you for your concern," Morris replied and Scarlett's expression faltered.
