CHAPTER 14: THE WEEKEND GETAWAY

THE WEEKEND GETAWAY

It was Saturday, and since it was the weekend, people didn't go to work but rather spent their weekend leisurely, they went to fun places and took pictures but not Richmond.

Even on weekends, he comes to the office and works on some documents or files if he isn't able to complete the previous day.

In the evening, when he was done with his work and was satisfied with a job well done, he left the office.

He was in his car driving since his driver was sick and he didn't want to disturb his other driver.

Suddenly, his phone rang, making a shrill noise in his sensitive ears.

He saw the name of the caller and frowned, it was Jonathan, the son of his father's friend, and wanted to cut the call but he picked it anyway.

"What!" He said curtly.

"Good evening to you too, Richmond. I am inviting you to my club tonight," Jonathan said in a friendly tone.

This guy can't be serious, Richmond thought as he scoffed loudly, "Why?"

Jonathan had always wanted to be Richmond's friend genuinely but each time he tried to get close, Richmond always pushed him away.

"You didn't come to the launching of my club last month when I asked you, you told me you were busy. Last week, I invited you, and again, you told me you were busy but today, I know you aren't busy because I called your father and he told me you were heading home,"

"Come to the club and chill with us," Jonathan said hopefully.

Richard rolled his eyes, he was getting tired of Jonathan whining, he didn't want to chill with anybody, he just wanted to get home, do his nightly exercises, and hit the pillows, nothing else.

Not that he didn't know the direction of the club but he hated to be disturbed.

"Like I said before I am a very busy man, Jonathan, I need to rest and not waste my time in some dumb club," he said curtly.

He could feel the sadness and hurt his words did to Jonathan, Jonathan's heart slowed down in hurt and Richmond could hear it and he felt a bit bad.

Sometimes he wondered why Jonathan wanted to be his friend, from their childhood, he had always clung to Richmond, and Richmond in return kept turning him down.

Richmond had a change of heart, it wouldn't do him bad if he visited the club and it would also throw Jonathan away from his back, he thought.

"I'm sorry for saying such harsh words, I will come to the club," although he apologized his voice was still curt.

Jonathan brightened up instantly, it wasn't common to hear Richmond apologize for something he said, "I will expect you, don't worry I will make sure you have a VIP treatment," he promised.

Richmond inhaled as he did a U-Turn heading to the club.

Richmond was sitting upstairs in the VIP section.

True to his words, Jonathan made sure he treated Richmond specially, he made so much fuss around him, that Richmond had to convince him that he was not the owner of the club but Jonathan himself.

Jonathan was so willing to please Richmond that it made Richmond uncomfortable, Richmond saw his presence as clingy and suffocating, and he threatened Jonathan that if he didn't stop fussing around him, he was going to leave the club.

Jonathan unwillingly left Richmond alone when one of his boys whispered to his ears telling him of the fight happening in one of the secret hangouts, he left promising Richmond he was going to come back.

Richmond was more than happy when Jonathan left, he could breathe well without someone asking him if the air he was breathing was okay for his nose.

Richmond was bored as he sipped on his drink, it was a special drink made especially for werepeople not for ordinary humans.

Girls were eyeing him with sexual intentions in their eyes but he wasn't interested in whatever they were selling.

He finished the entire bottle remaining with only a few drops of the special alcohol in his glass, he was feeling a bit tipsy and wanted to leave when his unique eyes settled on a girl much younger than himself.

It's like she just arrived because she wasn't here earlier, he thought.

She doesn't look like the type that attends the kind of place, her innocence is evident by the way she looks around the club.

Her eyes were the brightest shade of blue he had ever seen and the blue gown she wore that matched her eyes, made her look more out of place.

He wanted to shield her from the stares other men were throwing at her.

Damn! He wanted to pluck their eyes for looking at the woman.

He looked very familiar but at the same time, she looked strange, He didn't know why but he felt possessive about her.

He wanted to meet her but she was accompanied by two other ladies he wasn't interested in the other two but in the lamb standing amid wolves.

He watched them from afar as they made their way to the bar stand before she headed to the dancefloor with her friends.

He watched her as she danced, every other person faded to the background.

She was left alone by her friends and watched as she made her way to the bar stand again.

She saw her gulping down drinks like she was drinking water, her face scrunched from the biting stink from the alcohol, he thought she looked cute.

But he noticed other men staring at his lamb lustfully and got angry, "Stupid woman! Doesn't she know that drunk women are the prey of lustful men?" He muttered under his breath.

He was not angry at his lamb but at the two ladies who left her on her own.

He drowned the remaining drink in his glass and left to meet her.

Before he could get past the heap of people on the dancefloor, she was already dancing and was drunk but was still aware of her environment.

He wanted to grab her hand when she moved her body, but mistakenly his hand stopped at her waist and she turned her body to face him.

He was staring into the most innocent blue eyes he had ever seen in his life, he wanted to apologize for putting his hands on her waist.

She suddenly smiled, shyly biting her lower lip.

All the good intentions he had, they all went south.

His hand around her waist slid to her butt on its own, it was like he was under a spell, seeing only her, breathing only her perfume, and thinking about her only.

Although the song playing was a fast song they were dancing slowly, they were lost in their music.

He looks so familiar, where has she seen him before? She thought and wanted to ask him but he lowered his head to her neck and sniffed on the skin.

When did sniffing of the neck become this erotic? She thought.

"You smell so divine baby," he whispered from the crook of her neck.

She shivered as his breath kissed her tender neck.

"You look so edible, I just want to eat you, baby," he whispered blowing air on her sensitive skin.

To be honest, she wasn't hearing him, the music was blaring loud everywhere and his voice was drowned by it but his breath on her neck was turning her on.

He went lower, straining little kisses along her slender shoulders.

Her legs were becoming weak and she involuntarily leaned closer to his grasp for support.

She gasped in surprise, she felt a budge poking at her.

Richard chuckled darkly, "I was sitting on my own, gently sipping on my drink and then you showed up in that tempting blue gown as lamb waiting for the wolf to eat you, with your legs and eyes showing off like that, how am I suppose to resist you now?"

He whispered sucking on her shoulders.

She moaned loudly, she hadn't felt this way for anyone before.

He grinds himself on her body and he continues playing with her body.

She felt like touching the budge because she was curious how it would feel in her hands, she reached for it and stroked him slightly, but she stopped when she heard him groan loudly.

But he signaled for her to continue and she started stroking him through his pants.

Woman! He groaned.

He had to stop her before it got out of hand, "Baby girl, we have to stop now but if you want to continue, there is a hotel across the club, if you are willing," he said gently.

Luckily for them, the song was not as loud as the last song that was played before and Anne could hear him.

Anne began fidgeting.

Richmond frowned when he saw the conflict on her face, "you don't have to go with me if you are uncomfortable, you can politely refuse, I am not the big bad wolf," he said and flashed her a smile.

He wanted her to come with him but he wasn't going to force her.

She relaxed when she saw the reassuring smile on his face, she was happy he wasn't forcing her, "it's not what you think, I am not the type of woman that sleeps with a man she was meeting for the first time," she said, her voice was wavering.

She wanted to tell him that she was a virgin but she didn't want to ruin the moment.

He smiled, "There is always a first time for everybody besides you can leave me hanging like this," he pointed to his trousers.

He didn't know she was inexperienced.

She laughed, her laugh sounded like music to his ears.

"So you want me that badly, don't you? Strangely, she felt more in control when she saw the bulge in his trousers.

She raised her forefinger, "But on one condition," she said seriously.

Richmond narrowed his eyes, he was expecting her to say she wanted money or other valuables but instead, she said, "Don't make me regret it," she smiled shyly.

Richmond felt his heart squeeze but he couldn't exactly pinpoint what he was feeling, he nodded his head, "I promise I won't," he swore solemnly.
