Upon some suggestions and research done by me after being pointed out in the comments,

I found out that there are 47 types of engineering. Honestly, I was shocked and concluded that it's quite Op. Upon a suggestion from Madara Uchiha, I decided to switch to Automotive Engineering, something that the protagonist has already used, and it also justifies the advanced hardware reward I gave to the MC. Killing two birds with one stone, or maybe a stab, or maybe a shot, I'm not sure.

As soon as the lecture ended, Paige and I walked out talking. Sheldon was following us, staring at us fixedly with a frown on his face.

Once we stepped out, we saw Dr. Sturgis talking to Meemaw.

"Did you know that I know Tai Chi? It's a mysterious Chinese martial art. Tai Chi was created by Taoists to circulate the body's energy, releasing through the pores and exercising both the body and mind. It aims to increase vitality and promote the improvement of energy circulation, which are the therapeutic principles of Chinese medicine," Dr. Sturgis said.

"Meemaw, Meemaw," Sheldon yelled, approaching Meemaw.

"What's up, Sheldon?" Meemaw asked, surprised by her grandson's energy in calling her.

"She intimidated me," Sheldon said, pointing to Paige, who was smiling ear to ear, amused by the situation by my side.

"Has he always been like this?" Paige whispered, so only I could hear.

I looked at her and said, "You haven't seen anything. Sometimes even his mom can't handle him. If for some reason I believe in God, it will be because of Mary, because that woman's patience to raise Sheldon is a true miracle," I said, smiling at Paige, who was looking at me.

"I envy him. It seems like everyone loves him from the stories I've heard from you," she asked, with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

Noticing the new state of my new friend, I said, "If you want, you can visit our house in Texas. I'm sure Mary, Meemaw, and Georgie will welcome you. And you can also try Sheldon's famous favorite, spaghetti with sausage," I said, looking at Paige, who had a clear joy in her eyes, changing from a depressive state to a cheerful one, as we walked towards Meemaw.

"Dr. Sturgis, Paige intimidated me, you're my mentor, you have to expel her," Sheldon exclaimed, frowning. Obviously, Sheldon didn't know how to deal with the new emotions coming from within him, and for the first time, he acted like a child according to his age.

Seeing her grandson acting like this for the first time, Meemaw looked at Dr. Sturgis, who was looking at her with a silly smile on his face.

And then Meemaw turned towards us and saw a bright and pleasant girl smiling in her direction.

Paige was dressed in a pink dress that reached her knees with white stripes, a pink tiara on her head, a necklace of colorful pearls, and a pink backpack on her back, along with her short hair, gray eyes, and bright smile.

Meemaw simply fell in love with the child who exuded innocence and kindness but quickly composed herself when she heard Dr. Sturgis speak.

"Sheldon, don't be like that. I invited Miss Swanson to come to the university because of her research on Quantum Chromodynamics at high temperatures. She's indeed a very talented girl for her age. I thought you would like to have someone your age with your potential, besides your cousin, to talk to," Dr. Sturgis said.

"You got it wrong; she's very rude and intimidated me," Sheldon said, pouting as he turned his head aside.

Puff, I laughed exaggeratedly at the situation and said, "Sheldon, Paige didn't intimidate you; she just asked what you knew, and you couldn't answer, which is not like you. But it's a fact that she didn't intimidate you."

And Paige added, "Indeed, I didn't mean to cause trouble. With my words, I apologize to you, Sheldon, if I intimidated you in any way. Can we be friends, right?" Paige said, extending her hand for a handshake.

At that moment, Sheldon froze, obviously stunned by the situation. He felt like he lost again, but he didn't know what he lost.

Seeing her grandson stunned, Meemaw shook Paige's still extended hand and said, "Nice to meet you, Paige. I'm Sheldon's grandmother, Connie Tucker, but you can call me Meemaw." And Meemaw added, "I heard from Dr. Sturgis that you're a genius like Sheldon, is that true?" Meemaw asked curiously.

"Yes, unfortunately, I can be considered a 'genius,' but please treat me just as a curious girl about what the world can offer," Paige said in a slightly depressed tone, but soon regained her composure with a smile on her face.

Realizing the meaning of the words, Meemaw raised her eyebrows and looked at Connor, receiving a nod confirming her assumptions.

Then Connor said, "Meemaw, I was talking to Paige about her staying at our house for a while, what do you think?"

Quickly, Paige tapped Connor's shoulder with her fist and lowered her head embarrassed; you could see her red ears among her short hair.

"Of course," Connie said joyfully, "I'll welcome you with great pleasure to our house, Paige."

"Meemaw!!! You betrayed me," Sheldon yelled, sulking.

"Shush," Meemaw made a gesture for Sheldon to shut up, and Sheldon quickly moved aside and sat in the chair with his arms crossed, looking at the ground, looking for ants to step on and vent his anger.

"How wonderful," Dr. Sturgis exclaimed excitedly about the situation. "Three little geniuses united in the same house, how marvelous," Dr. Sturgis said.

"But before that, we still have to talk to Paige's parents, maybe they won't accept," I said, adding a point we hadn't considered.

"Don't worry about that; they will certainly accept," Paige said, lifting her head revealing her face and her excitement about spending the days with her new friend and Sheldon.

"They should be coming to pick me up,"

A few minutes later, Paige's beautiful mother arrives.

"Oh, Paige, there you are, shall we go home?" Paige's mother says.

"In fact, mom, I wanted to talk to you, can I?" Paige says as she grabs her mother's arm and drags her to a corner.

"Daughter, what's wrong?" Linda asks, confused by her daughter's strange behavior. "Mom, I want to ask you a question, can I?"

"Of course, dear, ask away," Linda says, even more confused by her daughter, who normally doesn't ask her questions.

"I made friends my age at the university," Paige says, pointing to Dr. Sturgis, Meemaw, Connor, and a sulking Sheldon.

"They asked me if I could spend some time at their house. They are as smart as me. Can I, Mom?" Paige asks, obviously excited.

Linda frowns and asks, "Really? As smart as you?" she asks seriously, looking at Connor, who was waving at her.

After thinking for a while, Linda seems to realize something, and it seems like her horizons have opened up.

Children as smart as Paige, and even two of them, their parents must have a lot of experience in dealing with this kind of situation. She feels like she can share experiences in raising Little Geniuses and can take advantage of this situation to talk calmly with her husband without Paige's presence.

"Of course, dear, but we still have to talk to your father when he gets home,"

"Thank you, mom," Paige exclaims as she hugs her mother happily.

And then Linda approaches the Coopers and Dr. Sturgis, talks to them, and then says goodbye and heads home.

In the end, holding her mother's arm and heading for the exit, Paige turns around and waves goodbye to Connor, who returns with a smile and a wave.
