Chapter 1The Alpha.

"Bong!!"

The morning bell went. The whole city of cold moon pack started to get busy for the present week was one of the most busiest times in the werewolf calendar.

Cold moon pack was the head pack of the west. It had five other packs aside from it in the west which it controlled and resided over.

Snow Pack..

Autumn Rise Pack...

Blue Sea Pack....

DryArth Pack.....

Today,

This week..It belonged to the coronation of DryArth Pack new Alpha. He was the son of his late father and a man people believed in. The coming week was his turn to become like his ancestors and be a great Man, Werewolf and Alpha.

But then, as the laws were in order, any huge celebration must be held or hosted in the head city which was Cold Moon Pack.

_._._

Inside a a large room where meetings were held, many elders sat and discussed with each other concerning their Alpha who for days hasn't called them for a meeting.

"Tch. I knew I was right when I said the Alpha wasn't the right one" Elder Stephon spat with arrogance.

"Hah!" Another elder laughed. "Would you be able to say that if the Alpha was here?"

"I would. Besides, Werewolf meeting are to be taken seriously. And our Alpha..tsk tsk... isn't taking any of us seriously." Stephon argued.

"Stephon is right. We gave alot to discuss. The new Alpha's celebration is around the corner. I'm not sure our Alpha can handle such an event" Elder Muzok voiced out.

The murmurs continued...

And amongst them all sat the youngest _ He say with his legs crossed, eyes closed and a part of his long hair covering his eyes. A single breath left his slightly parted tiny lips..

"Aren't you all cowards?" He asked, tired of listening.

All the elders turned to face the owner of the strange yet familiar voice. Their faces paled on seeing the bearer... It was.. It was..

Stephon breath hitched. His mind running helter-skelter to calculate how long the young man sat and listened. How also he came in without his steps or scent been noticed. Not only by him but the entire elders.

Silence reigned inside the hall, even the sound of a pin dropping to the floor could be heard. The young man's lips curved up in a very amused smile.

'Why are they all suddenly speechless?'

Thus, it was Noticed that this man had authority, power and he surely held the fear of others..

He was.... Zayn.

Zayn's eyes finally reached Stephon from the floor he was starring at before. Stephon looked as if he was going to faint.

"Stephon.."Zayn called so softly but yet yet dangerously. Stephon immediately had the urge to pee... Thus was bad, too bad. His voice sent shivers down each of their spine.

"Captain Zayn." Stephon immediately called back and stood. His fingertips vibrating in fear.

Yes, Zayn was just a captain.

"You no longer hold any fear," Zayn stated and finally stood from his seat, walking slowly towards Stephon.

""Nor my gaze?" Zayn continued.

Right now, Stephon couldn't even look at Zayn face to face.

Zayn laughed, unable to understand the talkative. His hair shifted abit from his left eye.

"If you knew you'd have the guts to speak.. then what's stopping you from looking at me. I mean, you are right. Our Alpha is. very. lazy, isn't that what you were trying to imply?"

Stephon looked at him in horror, "No. No. No. That wasn't what I was saying, I mean... How can I? How would I ?" He stammered and Zayn smirked.

"I'm asking myself that same question"

Stephon's heart beat was heard by all... The man was actually going to die soon if this continues... The rate of fear that flowed through his body and heart,.. it had passed some limits.

"No. Captain Zayn, You can ask them-" Stephon couldn't complete his sentence because by the time he looked, all the other elders were on their knees, heads down too. His brown eyes froze and widened.

Zayn slowly brought his gaze to them, he smiled darkly.

"You were saying, Stephon?"

"I..I "Stephon looked at Zayn.

"I'm so sorry Captain.I'll train my tongue next time." Stephon fell on his knees now.

"Hmm" Zayn hummed and nodded. "But then, Would they be a next time?"

"Huh?" Stephon's mind screamed.

Zayn sighed and the next second he was holding on to Stephon's neck.. Tight and Tighter.. But, suddenly stopped leaving Stephon on the floor gasping for air.

"You're just so lucky" Zayn said surprising other elders who secretly peeped at the two men.

Stephon looked up to Zayn, totally confused.

Zayn breathed out softly and and his claws went back in. It was then the elders saw that his claws were out without them noticing.

"Leave." Zayn thundered. "Don't show your face near the palace again."

Stephon quickly nodded and picked up his briefcase running out without waiting for a second order.

Just as he left, another door opened and the awaited Alpha walked in.

All stood and bowed, Including Zayn.

The Alpha sat on the head seat and sighed softly... The others sat while Zayn walked and stood behind the Alpha's seat.

"Begin." She said.

Yes.... A woman.

A man stood with his hands trembling Abit.. the tension was still there. He cleared his throat as he spoke,

" All the regions send their greetings and regards. But the Lower towns near the boundaries have sent words that they have been attacked by strange thieves. They have no idea if it is human or werewolf as no traces are left behind."

She nodded softly, "Send Lois and Vack to it" she said and the elder bowed and sat down.

Another elder stood, "Rouge werewolf attacked the humans living in the boarderlands." The Alpha smirked softly, it complimented her eyes.

"Send the night walkers."

Murmurs erupted softly and the Alpha creased her brows ...

"Speak and not murmur!" She said loudly and the murmurs stopped at once.

"My lady.." A man stood and paused as Zayn gave him a death glare..

"My Lord." The man corrected. "The night walkers are extremely dangerous and stubborn"

"And?" She asked not understanding the reason of their banter.

"They're hard to control, Alpha."

"But one controls them. Who is it?" She asked him the obvious.

She was a woman... yes.

But it was never a rule that only men could rule packs.

As he stood on the battlefield, his beasts surrounding him—wings spread wide, claws gleaming, eyes blazing—Asher knew he had only one path forward. He would show them all that even the smallest creatures could become titans, that even the forgotten could rise, that he—Asher, the Beast Tamer—will carve a new legend from dust and ashes.
