Chapter 01: Sky Phenomena

"According to the astronomical calendar, the second decade of the 21st century will come to a close this year, marking one-fifth of the century's duration. With the ETA Aquarids meteor shower scheduled for May, it promises to be the most spectacular month of the year.

LAPAN (the National Aeronautics and Space Agency) reports that the ETA Aquarids meteor shower is one of two meteor showers produced by Halley's Comet and is an above-average event. Since ancient times, when it reaches its peak, the ETA Aquarids meteor shower can produce up to 60 meteors per hour. Most of the activity is visible in the southern hemisphere, while in the northern hemisphere, it reaches about 30 meteors per hour.

This meteor shower has been occurring since last April and will reach its peak on May 6th at midnight and in the early morning of May 7th.

News about the meteor shower phenomenon is spreading everywhere. Almost all television stations, radio shows, magazines, and newspapers are discussing it, and even billboards in City S occasionally display information about the phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs when meteor debris hits the Earth's atmosphere, creating a brilliant trail of light in the sky.

City S, one of the largest cities in Indonesia, is among the cities that have a good opportunity to witness this rare spectacle with the naked eye, and everyone is eagerly anticipating it. Witnessing a rare sky phenomenon is considered the greatest luck in someone's life.

Unlike the feeling of joy that everyone experiences, silence envelops the VVIP room on the fifth floor of Pylmonia Hospital. A middle-aged man has been gazing sadly at a girl lying in front of him since earlier. It's unclear how many times rough moans escaped from his lips.

Violla Anette Anderson, the only child of Stefan Immanuel Anderson and Kaira Anderson, is also the sole heir of AE Group, one of the fifth largest companies in Asia, involved in trade and service industries, as well as resorts and tourism.

Erik, who has been Mr. Stefan's assistant for eight years, also felt the loss. Because, until now, he didn't have anyone in his life. He experienced poverty and suffering every day before he met the man who changed his life completely, Mr. Stefan Immanuel Anderson. Yes, the man adopted him as his younger brother and gave him the Anderson name

Time passed quickly. After satisfyingly observing the little girl in front of him, he moved to the side of the room, which was all made of glass. He opened the curtains, and the night view of City S immediately welcomed him.

Tall buildings with artistic and modern designs rose high, and the atmosphere of the streets was deserted with vehicles and pedestrians moving so orderly that they were visible everywhere.

Standing on the fifth floor of Pylmonia Hospital, everything below was very clear. The fountain in the middle of the city square was filled with twinkling lights of various colors, which were pleasing to the eye.

"I will take care of Miss Violla, Brother," Erik muttered with a tumultuous feeling when he mentioned his relationship with Stefan. He sighed heavily, his eyes focused on the night sky.

The empty street that he had seen a few moments ago began to be crowded by people from various places, all looking ready with cameras in their hands, preparing to capture beautiful moments that only happen a few times in their lives.

"If only Miss Violla were awake, maybe she would look as happy as the people there," Erik muttered.

Glancing at the watch on his wrist, he noticed that it was already eleven o'clock at night. His phone suddenly rang, and he immediately answered it when he saw the familiar name displayed on the phone screen.

Just after he answered the phone, the amazing sight that everyone had been waiting for was now happening before him.

Meteor showers filled the sky as far as his eyes could see, the darkness of the night with the twinkling stars forming a beautiful background.

The shadow of the white light trail that stretched was reflected in the glasses perched on his nose. For a moment, Erik was stunned by the beauty before him. He didn't even hear someone's words on the other end of the phone.

Beep... Beep... Beep...

The sound of a ventilator alarm connected to Violla's body sounded. Erik panicked and immediately approached Violla with a feeling of concern and worry. The girl's breathing suddenly became erratic, and her body started convulsing.

Erik pressed the emergency button, and the doctor and nurse came a few seconds later. They immediately tried various ways to stabilize her condition.

Erik reflexively stepped back to give them space, while hoping anxiously that Miss Violla would be alright.

Suddenly, a thunderous explosion sound was heard, followed by vibrations in the building where they were located. This made Erik and the others almost lose their balance.

"What was that?" one of the nurses asked, looking panicked. The explosion sound and vibration that had just happened were very close to them as if something had hit the hospital building.
