Chapter 11 - Jolly Roger

As soon as Yasopp saw the small ship we were travelling on. He wanted to ditch us.

But no take backs, I simply dragged him and threw him onto the ship. Before setting sail.

As Yasopp started cursing under his breath, calling us 'broke pirates' and what not. I decided to ask the question that was on my mind all along.

"So Yasopp, what made you change your mind?" I asked.

Yasopp stopped cursing and simply laid on his back while staring at the clear blue sky.

"I always wanted to follow my dreams." He said after taking the time to think about it.

"Then why didn't you act sooner? With your strength not a lot of people on this sea can challenge you." The usually silent Mihawk remarked.

"Yeah, I know. But I didn't want to abandon my wife." Yasopp said pensively.

"Your wife?!" Mihawk usual expression changed into one of complete shock.

"You're married?!" I asked just as surprised.

"Yeah, didn't you guys know. You both met my wife at the party. Her name is Banchina." Yasopp said offhandedly.

"Banchina? Where have I heard this name before?" I started thinking.

"Oh, the one with the long nose. Isn't she a server at the bar we partied at." I exclaimed.

"Yup, she's a looker isn't she." Yasopp said with a slight lecherous smirk on his face.

Remembering the plain woman with the abnormally long nose, I replied with a forced smile. "Yeah… a looker that she is. Hehehe…"

Mihawk and Yasopp both dead panned at my expression. "You're a terrible liar!" They both said in unison.

"Hahahah! Sorry Yasopp!" I exclaimed joyously.

"Don't worry about it." He replied nonchalantly.

"So what made you change your mind?" I asked.

"Banchina was the one to encourage me to follow my dreams. She said she's never seen me as happy as I was after encountering you guys." He replied pensively.

"Hahaha! You got yourself a good woman Yasopp." I remarked with a friendly slap on Yasopp's back.

Mihawk simple nodded.

As we were sailing in the middle of the sea, towards our next destination.

Yasopp who had been laying on his back noticed something strange.

"Hey guys, what's our pirate insignia? I don't see any symbol on our sails or any flags at the top of the mast?" asked Yasopp.

"Now that I think about it we don't have one yet." I said while looking at our empty flagpole.

"Let's make one then." Mihawk said as he stood up and brought out a large black cloth with some paint.

Looking at the empty black flag not a single idea came to mind.

"I don't know what to draw, do you guys have any ideas?" I asked the crew.

"A large sword with a skull." Mihawk said.

"A sniper riffle, with 'Yassop' engraved on the pirate skull." Yasopp added.

"Fuck off you guys. I'm the captain here!" I exclaimed before taking the black cloth and the paint from their hands and started diligently drawing what represent med me best.

A couple of minutes later I presented the final result to the crew it was a simple pirate jolly roger with the skull wearing my Crown.

"So what do you guys think?" I asked while presenting the flag to my crew members.

"It's perfect!" Yasopp exclaimed while Mihawk simply nodded.

Looking at their smiling faces, I shouted we will be known as the …

This is a relatively small chapter but I don't care. As I said I prefer to have a better presentation of a chapter than have a higher word count. The amount of 5k words chapters in this app that I end up skimming through because they're filled with an unnecessary amount of description and dialogue is simply too many to count.)
