The Villain's Failed Life
Ever repeating is the tale as old as time, that of the hero slaying the dragons and getting the girl. Everyone wants to be the knight in shining armor but not everyone has a choice.
For people born of a mob character there is nothing else to be done, we can't be the most powerful, we can't defeat the evil, we are sacrificed for the hero's progress.
To hell with that! I can't allow this! But many have tried and failed, later on labelled as villains just for opposing the 'good guy' but the hero isn't always the good guy, often their unwavering morality leads to graver consequences but the gods love them so much that it is rarely them that takes the bullet.
It's fine anyway right? Because the hero survives? Wrong! Those people are sons, daughters, lovers, that person was my father!
All I wanted was revenge but there had never been a story of a mob defeating the hero has there?
I used to laugh at the superstitions like ghosts with unfinished business, how ironic that I became one myself, unable to accept my untimely death. There's still hope however, one of these days I shall be reborn, and when I do death be to all the goddamn heroes and their unrighteous existence.
