A vein throbbed in Colton's temple as Phill uttered Ewan's name. Moments ago, he had just suspected Ewan but dismissed it as a harmless friend.
Ewan was always a gentle and kind-hearted man, who was only concerned with the expansion of his family business. He avoided meddling with other people's affairs.
Colton couldn't believe Ewan would dare mess with him. The Smiths had previously assisted the Sullivans when they needed it the most.
"Getting even with me!" he sneered. "Do you think so?"
Phill, under the weight of Colton's icy glare, felt a shiver crawl down his spine. But despite the storm raging within him, Phill remained resolute. His duty was to speak the truth, even when it meant facing the brunt of Colton's fury. He pressed on, "Mr. Sullivan loves his son a lot. It is obvious that he is upset with you for using David to exploit his wife."
Colton's face twisted in fury. "Shut up!" he bellowed. "Don't overstep your boundaries."
