Chapter 2 ( True thoughts)

Inside the store, the blonde man was now sitting drinking tea while a beautiful dark skin woman was sitting in front of him.

" So this Kai, is he an enemy?"

Hearing the question the woman's eyes narrowed as she spoke.

" I've told you Kai isn't an enemy, he's just a damaged boy."

" A damaged boy with captain class spiritual pressure, and has shown on more than one occasion that he can use his power very well."

" I know, but he is not our enemy."

" You are getting attached to this boy, and if what you told me is true, then the boy has already made you his anchor." he said his expression becoming severe making even the woman pause.

" His anchor?"

" It means right now, you are literally holding that boy's mind together, if you were to for some reason disappear he would completely break, and that isn't good for him or for you."

"..."

Hearing his explanation, she went silent.

" What can I do?"

" Nothing, the only thing to do is wait until the boy feels he can tell you everything and just be there for him."

"Mhm, fine."

She got up and headed towards the door getting ready to leave....

" You do realize this has gone further than you expected right?"

The question made her actions stop, as a sigh escaped her lips and she turned to him.

" I realize, but so what?"

" I can no longer ignore what I feel but it doesn't mean he can even understand the feeling of love, when we first meet Kai was completely broken no emotions no feelings,s and completely no will to live, and although I can't say that all of his problems are fixed, I know he wants to be complete."

" To be complete one needs to experience love, and I'll be here when the time comes." she says as she leaves.

" If that time comes." A whisper reaches her ears as this time she continues walking and disappears into the night.

( Back at the store)

" Is it really okay to leave her to continue like this?" a voice asked as the blonde continues to sip his tea.

" We have no choice now, things have already developed beyond our control."

" I could understand if she saw him as a child, but how did feelings of love appear when right now I don't see how that should be possible."

" She has always been a kind-hearted person, but she is still very smart, so if she says she's in love with the boy then I will believe her, I only hope she doesn't come to regret it."

" Anyways, Kai will be of great help to us if he really is not an enemy, the rate at which he grew to this point is crazy fast."

" If he continues to grow, he will become our most powerful ally."

" So who is going to monitor the Shinigami brat and the Quincy?" the voice asked.

" I'll leave that to you."

Now back in the form of a black cat, she slowly made her way back to Kai's home.

'Three years isn't a long time for a shinigami, but these here years with Kai were saddening, hard, and rewarding all at the same time.

all these years I've never thought I would fall in love, and with a human no less, someone who has yet to even hear me talk or see my true form, right now I really don't know for sure if the both of us are just too dependant on each other, and I am mistaking what I am feeling.

Living as long as I have lived, I shouldn't need someone to depend on, but Kai has proven my thoughts wrong.

I'll stick around until I can sort out what I am feeling, and hopefully, Kai will be complete as well when that time comes. ' Yoru thinks to herself as she continues to walk to the place she now considers home.

'Yoru has gone for a while, but she will be back.'

'Her leaving has become a normal thing, going out for a while and then returning before the sun rises.'

'Yoru, just who are you? What are you?' Kai questions as he continues to lie in bed.

' The amount of spiritual pressure I've sensed from her sometimes even surpasses mine, captain class spiritual pressure.'

'All of this doesn't matter, as long as it's Yoru anything is fine, I'm sure she will reveal everything to me in due time, but in the meantime, I need more power to protect the only thing I care about, I don't know the ins and out of the power ceiling in this world, but I won't believe I am strong enough.'

'I wish not for anything grand, just a world with only me and Yoru."
