Surviving the Story!

Sitting in one of the many classrooms in the Stellar Academy, the most prestigious academy in the entirety of the world, twelve young men and women were waiting for their teacher to arrive.

It was their first day at the academy, so the students carried many different expressions. Some wore faces of excitement, while some were nervous. A few didn't seem to care much about finding themselves here as if it was just something natural.

And then, there was one who...

'What the fuck am I doing here?!'

Yes, that was me.

Just some dude who had woken up after having gone out to drink just to find himself in another world.

A world ruled by might and power. A world where technology was replaced with magic, where mana took the place of electricity.

'And a world that might be completely obliterated by an evil god...'

How did I know that? Simple.

It was the same reason I knew who the blonde-haired man sitting in the front of the classroom was and the same reason I knew about the students who would later become his most trusted comrades.

Because I was the one responsible for this story in the first place.

No, I wasn't the author or anything, I was just the publisher. Or at least I was. Until I read the final volume that the author gave to me, where everyone suddenly died and the evil god won.

No matter how much I argued with him that it was a stupid idea and that he had to change the script, he held fast to his ideas. Which in turn had led me to go out and drown my sorrows with alcohol.

The next thing I knew, I was here. In the body of Alex Winter, a character bearing my original name, that was never in the novel in the first place.
