Atlantica, Coloumbia
The World Government
Three days ago

An ongoing debate was made by the Parliament regarding the increase of activity of lawless elements in the unregulated regions in the world. From the regions of Sahara, Nile, Gire and Sovenia, law enforcement are having a hard time in controlling the situation. Limited operations in the regions have little success. Despite its power and influence the World Government have problems in maintaining its hold of power especially in those regions.

"The problem lies in these regions are the unregulated Corporations and Mercenaries that are running amok. If we have the will as a united government to stop them we could at least reduce the incidence of these lawless activities" An old man in his fifties said before the parliament.

"If we do so, we have to funnel resources to such endeavor. We cannot allow or risk another war that may erupt because we wish to pacify rogue regions." A member of the parliament rebuked his claim.

"You are saying that we should allow to brew a malignant disease. Watch it until it reaches our backyard?" The old man replied.

"Enough, the session ends now. I call for a recess!" The head of the parliament said.

The members of the parliament dispersed in an organized manner. The old man in his fifties exited later and met with a contact. He and the person went to a secluded place and conversed observing the area for bystanders.

"Are you sure we cannot be heard here?" The woman in military uniform asked.

"It's okay, no one can hear us here." The old man in his fifties replied.

"Very well then here is the letter of response from the order." The woman handed a white envelope to him.

"I shall read this later." The old man took the letter.

"It is up to your side if you wish to continue the contract. We only honor what is in the agreement. Cancellations of course is honored but a fee is required. Are the names of the targets final?" The woman asked him.

"You'd better not fail, assassin!" The old man said and left after their conversation.

The mark of the Crescent and the Dragon is engraved on the envelope.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Savanah Region
Near the Border

Something does not feel right about this mission. I sense something is off, most of the people around me are not in their usual spirits. We are sent five miles from the border, a run-down facility which was run by a renegade corporation. With the world government getting less and lesser control of all the corporations that exist. It is of no surprise that the world police cannot even regulate such mischief done by opportunists.

We are sent to subdue the scientists and eliminate the bio terror weapon that they have created. By the looks of it, it is similar to that Tyrant incident years ago. It may be something worse than that bio-weapon and I hope that the mission will not be as difficult as what we expect it to be.

Three minutes and we will arrive to our destination. The men are all geared up and ready for the tasks. Everyone is immunized for this mission, it's the standard operating procedure as a precaution. A HAZMAT suit is rather too bulky and useless for new kinds of pathogens will render it ineffective.

"Ready men, activate the Neo-Active Precursors, that will increase your resistance to whatever bio-weapons these terrorists throw at you." Our squad leader said two and a half minutes before touch down.

The Precursors reinforces our immune system for an hour which makes us immune to pathogenic attacks. The down sides however is that we are rendered useless for the next fifteen minutes after the hour of potency. Operating beyond the recommended time may strain our immunity thus making us a hundred times susceptible to diseases. Steroids may be used to extend its effectiveness for at least twenty minutes but it is not advisable.

"Touch down in three, two, one!" Our squad leader signaled to exit the transport.

The green light flashed and the cabin doors opened. The transport hovered at least two meters from the ground we disembarked in an orderly fashion. In this mission I take the role as the technician who will operate most of the electrical, computer, network and AI functions.

"We only have forty-five minutes to finish this mission. Anyone who you see a threat you are clear to engage. Eliminate as many bio-weapons as much as you can. The rest of the squads will arrive later to relieve us. Go, go, go!" The squad leader said and proceeded.

I checked all of my equipment from my Medium plated Type X-09 exoskeleton, sub-machine gun with attachments and red dot scope. My melee weapon is strapped in just in case things go ugly. Terminal adapters and AI interface for hacking the facility's security. U.I. seems functional and the drones are now set.

"Technical team ready, move!" I signaled the squad leader.

There are at least fifteen of us in this squad, four men make up for the technical squad. The rest are grunts, two marksmen and support teams for first aid and communication to Command Center.

The grunts were ahead of us, marksmen some hundred meters behind them and us the technical squad at least fifty meters and hiding behind a rock. Drones were already set in place just in case there are ambushes or some unexpected sorts that may render this mission to fail.

"All clear!"

Radio chatter started.

"From here on we use our radio for our communication. The grunts will take lead while the others will follow suit."

Radio chatter was silenced after the squad leader spoke.

The place is eerily silent, there's no one in sight not even corpses or traces of any activity. The facility once belonged to Hanger Holdings. Once pioneer in biomedical research, it was taken over by Tarken terrorists months ago and turned it into a bio-weapons facility and terrorized a nearby Dome that housed at least ten thousand civilians. The fate of the Dome is unknown but rumors say that it is now inhabited by horrors. Mutants and the diseased had infested the place.

After checking the area, the technical team was ordered to open the terminals of the entrance deep into the facility. With the blueprints hacked from the Hanger Holdings' database we were able to map out the entire facility from outside.

"Fifty percent until successful breaching of the terminal!" I said to the squad leader.

"Make it faster, time is running out!" He replied to me.

"I'm working on it!" I said and used my additional resources to hack the terminal.

Ten minutes has passed since our insertion. Everything looks quiet as of the moment. Ninety-nine percent until the access terminals will be hacked.

Nine seconds, eight, seven, six... five, four, three, two, one!

Entry access clear!

Green light flashed from the terminal screens and the doors are opening. Whatever awaits us beyond the door I hope we may be able to deal with. I hear of nasty rumors about the terrorists that hijacked the facility. I hope most of them are made up. If not, a fifteen man squad is not enough for the task. At least for the legion itself.
