The children are growing up

The death of the Empress became the topic of discussion and gossip for the next few days. The injured baby was cured by the royal physician and slowly the palace was occupied with activities for celebrating the birth of the twins. The two babies were named Li Shing and Li Ling by the Emperor's mother who according to the tradition was responsible for naming the Emperor's child.

Both of them were really powerful for their age as in 7 years they had completed the Body Tempering stages. If not for the rule that one must reach 10 years for awakening their Martial Soul they would have already reached the 3rd or 4th Lv Qi Cultivation Realm. After reaching Lv 9 Body Tempering Realm both of them began their training in Martial skills.

The custom of the palace was that every child in the palace who had reached the Lv 9 Body Tempering Realm and turned 10 years old are to fight in a tournament known to all as the " Awakening Tournament ". The awakening tournament was a grand event were the martial arts beginners displayed their proficiency. The winners of the tournament were awarded talent increasing treasures or other valuable treasures. This was to ensure a good start for the talents.

The tournament results were mostly predictable from the progress seen in the children. For instance, the ones that reached Body Tempering Lv 9 faster would be getting more time for training in battle skills thus increasing the chances of victory.

According to the present situation the winner would be either Prince Li Shing or Prince Li Ling. Both were proficient in martial skills. Although comparing them was really difficult, experts could point out that Li Ling who had reached the Lv 9 two months before his brother was more proficient in battle skills.

But this year's tournament is not going to be as simple as it seems.
