As the team ventured into the city, the greatest difference they noticed was the number of Easthill soldiers moving around.
Previously it would be rare to see one or two when traveling around the city. Now they were stationed every few blocks, their eyes roving between the people walking along the streets.
Despite the heavy presence of guards, though, Edol didn't see much happening. They didn't go around stopping random people in hopes of finding someone suspicious, instead just standing in wait for orders.
Having men stationed around the city would allow them to instantly respond to any incidents, but considering the current situation of the ranch-stables, Edol thought it was a bit of a waste of manpower.
"Tori, weren't there way fewer soldiers in the city before? Where did all of these people come from?"
The white-haired girl nodded.
