Chapter 34: Royal Library

Jin's POV

We already secured the chapel, and Galahad's there to open the keyhole when the time is right. Penelope and I are now going to the third floor to go the Royal Library where Kay's keys are supposed to.

"Jin, I've been having the same feeling once we left the chapel. I feel that we're being watched" Penelope said. I stopped and scanned the surroundings. There was no one around.

"Stay sharp" I replied and continued heading to the third floor. When we're supposed to enter the third floor, a woman stopped us. She's wearing a maid outfit but she has a sword in her hands. Penelope pulled me and stepped up.

"Who are you?" She asked as she created a magic circle. She's preparing to cast a spell. I also brought out Andromeda, just in case.

"I am Su'lan, third maidservant of lady Succubus. It is I who shall end your life today" She replied.

"So you're the one who kept watching us this whole time. Good, you've save us the trouble of finding you" Penelope said and casted a spell.

[Penelope used Light Beam]

It went directly for the woman but she just blocked it with her sword. She then dashed at us and tried stab Penelope. I used Magic Blast to stop her but she just repelled it. I used Object Create and created a wooden shield out of my mana and tossed it to Penelope. She caught it and managed to blocked the woman's attack just in time.

I lunged at the woman and did a horizontal strike. It managed to reap her skirt, wounding her thigh but she managed to dodge. She then let out a massive energy, her maid uniform turned into an armour, her sword also enlarged. She then did a vertical slash but I managed to blocked it using Andromeda. Penelope then slid and kicked her foot making her fall on to her knees. She then used her Light Sword and stabbed her. The woman's outer skin melted, revealing her demon form.

"We're gonna encounter more of her upstairs, we better be more vigilant" Penelope said and I nodded. We continued our way upstairs and arrived at the third floor.

We are greeted by two old women. Are they also demons?

"Penelope" I said and looked at Penelope. She signals me to prepare.

"Who are you?" Penelope asked. It seems she's been asking the names of the enemies first before taking action.

"I am Su'shan and she's my sister Su'shing. We are the twin huntress of the purple skin demon tribe. Now please die" The old woman said. Her twin quickly dashed at us and tried to stab Penelope with a long spear. Penelope blocked it with her light sword but she's been suppressed by that old lady. I tried to help her but the other old lady keeps firing me shadow orbs.

Penelope's stronger than me, she can handle on her own. I'll take care of the other one first.

"So you're a caster, I'm not bad at that either" I said and blasted her with multiple Magic Blast. She countered each one of my blast with a shadow orb. Then she created a disc shape shadow and threw it at me. I tried to avoid it but it changed direction and managed to hit me. It punctured through my arm, causing it to bleed.

"Jin are you ok?" Penelope asked as she tried to gain the upper hand in their battle.

"I'm fine, just focus on your side" I replied and took out Leo "I never specialized in spellcasting anyways"

I lunged at her and ignited Leo using Lions Breath. I tried to slash her many times but she's so nimble and managed to dodge every attack.

I tried every attack but it seems she's just dodging all of them. Why isn't she counter attacking? Wait, is she perhaps... Stalling?

"Penelope! Let's end this quickly! It looks like they're waiting for someone. They're stalling us" I shouted.

[Penelope used Pink Goat Fusion]

[Pink Goat

A goat with pink skin. It is written in ancient texts that goats with pink skins can only be found during spring at the very top of a snowy mountain. They are rare beasts]

What is that skill? Fusion? I looked at her. She now have a pair of horns, her skin turned purple, her hands turned hooves and her mana surged. She became more powerful.

After some evasion from the old lady's attacks. I managed to get the hang of Leo's transformation. You just need to focus on turning a sword into a human. Let's try it one more time. Make the sword vanish and make Leo appear. Finally, I successfully summoned Leo in his human form.

The old lady cursed and keeps shooting shadow ball.

[Leo used Lions Breath]

He incinerated all the shadow orbs managed to wound the old lady several times.

"Let me help you Leo" I said and took out Andromeda. We kept suppressing her until she tires out. I pierced her neck and killed her, revealing her demon form. I glanced at Penelope and it looks like their battle ended a while ago. She's now searching her remains.

"Jin, I've found some gems on her pockets. It seems these gems are used to improve their strength for a little span of time" Penelope said. I also searched the pockets of the old lady we managed to defeat and also found a gem.

"I also found one!" I replied.

"Keep it for now" Penelope said.

"On no you can't my dear. That does not belong to you" A woman slowly walked towards us.
