Sophia awoke as she heard someone call her name from afar. However, Mooney stood in her way when she wanted to go outside.
"Where are you going, little pup?" Mooney asked, ready to stop Sophia.
"I heard someone call my name, Pop. Who knows if John comes for me." She bent her head. "I … I dreamed last night. He said he searched for me. He said I'm his mate, and I'd be the only one." Sophia raised her head to stare at Mooney with teary eyes. "Pop, I want to check if he called me."
"No! Your foot hasn't properly healed. What if a beast attacks you? How can you survive, little pup?"
"But—"
