Avengers Initiative?

"How do you know about the Avengers Initiative?!"

Nick Fury was anxious, as the Avengers Initiative was a secret known only to a select few.

"The answer is simple, Fury. There's always a snake in the grass, from the highest to the lowest ranks. No matter how many times you cut off their heads, two more spring up in their place."

Leon explained and he added

"Plus, there's the file packet on the dining room table that you left. I just took a glance at it. Oh, Tony! I'll be in touch in the future, stay cool."

He said before vanishing in a puff of smoke from the mansion.

"I'll set an appointment. I'll be free in three months."

Tony replied with a hint of sarcasm.

Tony walked towards the dining room and saw a thin file folder on the table. He picked it up and scanned through it. There was just one thing he realized as he was reading through it.

"What the hell did I get myself into."

"The Avenger's Initiative is something I thought up. Gathering the best the world has to offer and set them up to deal with things the world is not prepared to deal with the world's first and last line of defense."

Tony had no interest in Nick Fury's invitation.

"Leave before I call someone above your rank!"

he warned. As Tony firmly rejected him, Nick Fury attempted to continue.

"Stark, don't you..."

"Out, now!"

Tony interrupted.

"JARVIS, connect me to the federal senator's phone. I need to know when the head of a special agency has the right to barge into my home and spout nonsense!"

Realizing communication was futile, Nick Fury conceded.

"Alright, I'm leaving. Just untie me first."

He added

"But I believe we'll meet again, Mr. Stark."

Once untied, Fury exited Tony's mansion.

"Sir, the call is connected,"

JARVIS informed.

Tony immediately voiced his grievances to the senator about SHIELD's intrusion and demanded action against them, seeking advice on the issue.

Clearly, Fury's covert entry had incensed Tony. After the call, he ordered.

"JARVIS, blacklist him. He's never to enter my mansion again!"

"Understood, sir."

JARVIS replied.

With Fury gone, Tony resolved to enhance his room's defenses, determined to protect the secrets of his Mark series armor and maintain his autonomy.

The ordeal with Obadiah had only sharpened his caution.

-Tony Stark's Penthouse, The Next Morning-

"So, Fury finally showed himself, huh?"

Revy remarked upon seeing the folder Tony was perusing. He turned and headed for the dining room entrance.

"Damn, did you get any sleep? You look like I do after babysitting my kids."

Tony had dark circles under his eyes.

"You're Revy, right? One of Leon's girlfriends? And to answer your question, yes, a creepy pirate did show up, and I couldn't sleep after I started reading this..."

Tony retorted with his characteristic sarcasm.

"I had JARVIS dig up everything he could on what's inside."

"Actually, it's Revy, and I'm his first wife! So, what did he dig up?"

Revy inquired, truly interested in what JARVIS might have uncovered, given SHIELD's tight grip on information.

"Wait, you said kids? Does Leon have kids?"

Ravy chuckled at his question.

"Of course, that Fucker has more than ten wives and constantly breeds us like rabbits. But I can't deny that Leon's good in the sack, that's why we keep coming back, and he Fucks us until we end up pregnant as a result."

"I'm afraid to ask, but how many children do you have with a man? It's four now since I gave birth a couple of months ago to my daughter Lily."

Tony was flabbergasted that Revy didn't look in any way that she was pregnant not too long ago.

"Bullshit, you can't have recently given birth, and still look like a runway model?"

Ravi pressed one of her breasts with her hand, making her breast milk start leaking from her tank top.

"Hehehe! As you can see, I'm still lactating, to feed my baby, but what really kills me is that my breast size always goes one cup higher. At the moment, my cup size is close to DD, they're a pain to move with, so that's why I finished off your man Obadiah with gunshots instead of my awesome ninja arts!"

"..."

Tony barely heard half of what she said, because his full attention was placed on Revy's massive lactating breast, like they were in the nectar of the gods.

"Stark, you surely recall what transpired when you ogled me with those lustful eyes and attempted to flirt, right?"

Tony was suddenly hit by a flashback of the thrashing Leon had given him for that very look.

"Curse it, woman, you're trying to land me in hot water with Leon. Fine, let's steer back to the main topic."

Tony grabbed his phone from the table and began scrolling.

"There's a deluge of news articles, journals, papers, social media posts, conspiracy theories, and so on... Yet, I've found nothing concrete on anyone involved, except for this Banner fellow."

"What sets him apart?"

Asked Revy to which Tony mused.

"I've encountered him at several conventions. He's a remarkable intellect, albeit a bit eccentric. Perhaps that's the side effect of earning seven doctorates..."

He trailed off, then refocused on the subject at hand.

"In any case, I've read most of his work on electromagnetic waves, especially high-energy radiation. The man's truly a genius,"

Tony conceded.

"There are numerous clips of him outmaneuvering the military. That must be why they were interested in the sonic cannon."

"You're missing some individuals here…"

Revy unveiled the cover page of each Avenger candidate and arranged them on the table.

Notably, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Leon's photos were replaced with generic silhouettes and subjected to heavy redaction. Banner's cover page also displayed partial redaction.

"We won't discuss the two silhouettes as their files are redacted for a reason. All I can reveal is that they're SHIELD's top agents,"

he clarified.

"Banner's files are partially redacted due to his military involvement."

He shifted the cover photos aside and pulled out two sheets of paper.

"This is my file. I'm not sure why it's absent. Perhaps they assumed I know myself well enough."

Revy just raised her eyebrow.

"Oh, right! Tony, Leon had me bring a bunch of crap that you supposedly needed. So, I left it all in your garage. Wells since I'm done I'm leaving. Ohh, and here catch."

Revy then threw a scroll at Tony, Catching it, he looked at her with a fish-out-of-water look.

"That scroll has a message that Leon wanted you to read"

Watching her leave, Tony opened the scroll and began reading it.

'Tony, you've likely noticed the increasing blood toxicity and the visibly damaged veins around your chest, which will soon spread. You must have already deduced it's due to palladium poisoning.'

Tony was stunned; he had only discovered the palladium poisoning yesterday and was oblivious to Leon's deception in coaxing him to create a new element.

'Your father was involved with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, or 'SHIELD' for short—it's quite a mouthful.'

Tony chuckled at the letter from Leon.

'They were the division responsible for creating Captain America, an initiative your father spearheaded. After the war, your father and Carter assumed control, shaping it into its current form. SHIELD is a legacy of your father's life's work. Now, they are the largest spy agency globally, operating worldwide with UN endorsement.'

'Following your father's death, they eagerly seized every piece of his legacy they could lay their hands on, including his notebooks, designs, and all his models.'

As Tony continued to read about SHIELD, Leon subtly suggested they pilfered from his inheritance. Upon reaching the garage, he was confronted with the sheer volume of items SHIELD had appropriated.

'I hope that by using your father's research, you'll uncover a message from him that inspires you to create a new, perfected Arc Reactor. Look into the VHS tapes and the original 1974 diorama of the Stark Expo; they were among the most significant items in the collection.'

Frustrated, Tony exclaimed

"Damn it, SHIELD had no right to my family's legacy; they outright stole it from me!"

In his anger, he flung the scroll to the ground. His relationship with his father might not have been close, as his father was always too engrossed in work to be a present father figure.

Only now did he understand why his father was so consumed with work—it was all to save the world. They had taken not just his father's time but also his legacy.

Tony stood fuming at the thought that SHIELD screwed him over.

"At least I can rely on Leon to have my back and shield me from the shadows,"

He mused.

Tony devoted the following hours to the paperwork and reviewing videotapes sent by Leon, only to find out that Revy had pilfered all his liquor.
