Old Master Ye

Ye family's head Ye Jiushang is momentarily surprised with the arrival of Lin Kai but he went forward and warmly welcomed Lin Kai to the front hall of his courtyard.

Old Master Ye, shaded by a sprawling tree, chuckled as he saw Old Master Lin. "I am Just admiring the afternoon. Don't tell me you got tangled in your beard again on the way here?"

Old Master Lin snorted. "Tangled? I could navigate this place blindfolded with my toes. Unlike someone, I don't need a map for my own backyard."

Old Master Ye, raising an eyebrow playfully, countered, "Map? this courtyard is a Feng Shui masterpiece! Yours, on the other hand, looks like a squirrel ran amok on a sugar high."

Old Master Lin burst out laughing. "Feng Shui masterpiece? More like Feng Shui mess-terpiece! I've seen neater layouts in a hamster cage."

Old Master Ye shook his head, a playful twinkle in his eye. "Old Lin, you philistine. No appreciation for the finer things in life. Unlike some of us who cultivate a well-rounded aesthetic."

Old Master Lin, with a mischievous grin, replied, "Finer things, you say? Last time I was here, your tea tasted like swamp water. My taste buds would stage a rebellion if I had to endure another cup of your 'finest' teas."

Old Master Ye leaned back in his chair, a hearty laugh escaping his lips. "Well, at least I have some taste, unlike a certain someone whose robes look like they were borrowed from a flamboyant peacock."
