Servants With a Modern Weapon

Wilson is a servant for the duke's daughter. Little to none known about him. Although something is puzzling about him, perhaps it's his reputation, or maybe it's merely his decency. However, nonetheless, people tend to pretend to be his best friend while wanting to know his secret. Sorry for my bad English since I'm not a native speaker. [Hiatus For Now]

Launching Satellite

November 20th, 2000 hours.

Gen. Wilson Galliard

Costellia town region, the academy, Rooftop of the classroom.

Natalie brought the rugged Dell laptop from her laptop case and gave it to me. We are going to launch multiple satellites from the Heather base and Flameguard AFB. With that, our Intel gathering will be much easier. Second Lieutenant Collins and his fireteam, aka harem, were waiting beside us while leaning against the railings. Also, Lieutenant Harrington was there.

"Life is going to be easier."

I held the tablet with my right hand. In the background, the burning grassland and the loud explosion from a magic spell could be seen and heard. The Tanerian had pushed so far that we even can see some of the Tanerian encampments from the Costellia.

"Shall I open the Wine General?"

With a cork opener on his hand, Andrew opened the wine bottle smoothly. He threw the cork as far away just like he threw a hand grenade from his hand. Charlotte gave us a glass for each one of us, then Andrew poured wine to the glass.

"Would you like to do the honor?" I offered the tablet to Maria.

"Sure," she said as she grabbed the laptop to me and pressed a single button on the touchscreen that said launch.

A bunch of rockets launched from numerous silo on the base, we couldn't see it, but we know that the rockets were launched. We couldn't feel the vibration, but we sure know that satellite is going to be very useful for us. The satellite is also equipped with orbital strike capabilities.

"Tomorrow, we are going to be sent on the front line, wish us luck," I said as I raised my glass together with them.

"Front line? Grasswall town, right?" Garth added.

"Yup," Herma replied.

"How will you participate, Lyra?" I asked Natalie.

"... KILL THEM ALL HAHAHA," a sudden burst of evil could be felt from her aura.

"Well, we can kill them all," I said as I showed a screen on the laptop that shows a biometric scanner that is connected to the Satan 4 ICBM.

"Maybe later," Lyra said.

"Satan 4 ICBM, the one that is capable of destroying any known country on earth. It has more warhead than the Minuteman ICBM, capable of destroying a country with a single missile," I replied while showing her the spec of the missiles.

"Wilson, Satellites are up in the sky," Maria said as she showed me her rugged tablet.

"Let me see the surveillance," I said as I switched the mode of the laptop to surveillance mode, which shows a black and white image from the region surrounding us, including the Tanerian's encampment outside of the city.

I switched the mode of surveillance to dot mode, and a bunch of dots with a rectangular structure in the map appears. Green dots were us, and the white dots were the others. The next step is to test the orbital weapon capabilities of our satellites. The target was Tanerian encampment.

"Sergeant Heumann, could you identify the target on the direction of 3-5-5? Is it a Tanerian encampment?" I said as I zoomed the dots on the map and changed into an accurate surveillance camera.

She grabbed the binocular from Maria's backpack and turn on the night vision mode and observed it. From my view, though, it was a Tanerian encampment since there were several officers stationed there marked by their distinctive armor from the other soldiers.

"Yes, it is General," She said as she put back the binocular into Maria's backpack.

"Ok, there are five encampments in total. Each one of them has a distance of two kilometers and not really fortified. There are two choices of weapons that are available for now. First is the laser, and second is the orbital bombardment," I said as I showed the screen that has the writing "Laser" and "Bombardment." The other list was locked.

Maria grabbed the laptop from my hands and used the integrated pen on the laptop to select the weaponry. She chose the bombardment, and a large white circle appeared on the screen. He chose one of the encampments and writing that said, "Friendly Target Nearby."

She gave back the laptop to me and complained, "Wilson, I can't use the orbital strike," she said as she tapped the screen multiple times with the pen.

"You idiot, are you trying to kill us," I said as I knocked her head with my hand.

"What?" She asked with a confused face.

"The radius of the circle also covers us, which means that we are also going to be dead," I said as I switched the weapon to the laser one.

I switched the thickness of the laser to one millimeter. I picked the target, which was the head of one of the Tanerian officers. I zoomed the image and pressed his head with the pen, then he was dropping on the ground, thanks to the seemingly godly beam of our laser.

"Well, test success, cheers," I said as I raised my glass.

"Cheers," the others raised their glass too.

"It's a shame that we can't test the orbital bombardment," Maria added.

"Is it a shame? Yeah, but is it a certain disadvantage? I don't think so," I said as I sip the wine and look up to the dark stary night sky.
