The Counterpart 2

4 BBY, Dromia Minor

"Move it sleazes!" the Weequay mercenaries shoved Jon and Beethree while escorting them to their doom.

It wasn't surprising anyway since Dromia Minor had been a haven for scum like mercenaries, bounty hunters, spice runners and syndicates. To Beethree's conclusion, he devised a plan to destroy this scum. Meanwhile, Jon had a slight panic only thinking of a way to get them to live. He'd never been taken hostage before: never while with his old master or even while he lived by himself. Though the situation reminded Beethree of the hardships he went through being sold to Padraw.

The mercenaries took a submariner and headed to a secluded huge base that was probably considered the capital.

"Hey Jon, I have a plan to get us out of here!" Beethree said in a jovial.

"Yea? What are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking that as we get out of here, we destroy their base." she jerked her wrists, attempting to break the shackles off.

"Excuse me?" Jon fainted.

"C'mon Jon, this is where the target is. Might as well make it hurt!"

"Are you malfunctioning?" he scoffed. "There's probably thousands living in here. That's crazy!"

"Well according to my readings, I scanned everyone in here and a hundred per cent of everyone in here is scum. No slaves, no natives only deal buyers and brokers," he explained as his radars scanned the environment.

"Well if you say it like that, then maybe," he sighed as the mercenaries kept shoving the two.

"C'mon take a risk for once in your life," Beethree laughed. "We won't be caught anyway since we're wearing Imperial attire. We destroy this one base, the Empire destroys all of them for us!"

"Oh, it's ingenious alright!" Jon mocked the droid.

Momentarily the two were taken into the quarters of the boss Quenlin the Hutt. He was a newbie, not knowing of the wrath he just got himself into. After being introduced to him, Jon was kicked to his knees while Beethree was dragged towards the Hutt.

The Hutt only survived through his superiors money, never generating his own. It was a sad reality that if exposed would get his mercenaries to form a rebellion. He had clear ownership of the Dromia system, but this day. Beethree thought otherwise. She despised the youngling the moment she laid her eyes on the slimy beast ready to shove her hands down his throat.

"Behold! The mighty Quenlin!" personal assistance of the Hutt announced the man to Jon while Beethree was dragged to him apparently for translation.

"No need to drag him around, I can understand this foul creature." Jon scoffed heavily as the axes near him clashed and clanged. "Alright, alright!"

"Chowbaso tah our bunky dunko visitor! Kava may jee-jee be of binsa?"

"Well, you can start by getting me out of these cuffs?" Jon scoffed.

"Da sa nopa happening mee'm sorry"

As the Hutt began babbling on his wrath for invading his base, Beethree pulled out some type of key and began picking his lock. Jon noticed and kept his attention on the Hutt.

"What if I gave you Sullust?" Jon began.

The crowd of mercenaries got quiet as he mentioned Sullust. After moments of conclusions and speculations, they came to a consensus that the two visitors were Imperial. Beethree was right, his plan was taking form. He then began pressing a few buttons on his remote control which Jon knew he had no time for.

"Lemme speak with my partner here for a second," he proposed. Walking towards the busy droid he began speaking quietly not to fold any of their plans. "What are you doing?"

Beethree was always a multitasker, it got him his years in security and intelligence on self-destruct sequences and such. He was ready to risk it all if he needed to. Of course, he was a droid, but Jon knew the meaning of life.

"Bombing this place up as soon as you shoot these people down!" she retaliated. "We were given this mission for a reason!"

"And what weapons will you use?" Jon asked.

"Thermal detonators!" she happily exclaimed.

"Alright, guys. Playtime's over," a mercenary called out as he cocked his weapon ready to blast.

"That won't be necessary," a masked woman raised her blaster and shot about three of the men who surrounded Jon and Beethree. Then five other men did the same and shot the Hutt's mercenaries. As the room became a warzone and airway for red blaster fire that lit the room. The masked woman then approached a crouch Jon and Beethree.

"Hey kids!" she smiled deep down her mask. "We're with the Rebellion and here to recruit you for a special mission!"

"Special mission!" Jon jovially shouted. Looking at a serious Beethree, he calmed. "I mean, special mission? What do you mean special mission?" He retracted.

"We need help finding an ingredient that will stop the bomb plugged in this system!" she faked a smile.

"Jon doesn't fall for it, she's a mercenary," Beethree yawned.

"I was told you could help us, you defeated Padraw. A Sith Lord," she exclaimed blasting a few more mercenaries. "Surely you can rescue a whole system!"

"C'mon Beethree,"

"You'll be a hero for the galaxy!"

"Ugh fine," she sighed, getting up to run. "But I'm uploading my brain into a security droid before I go!"

"Team! Operation rescue gull! Now!" she called out as two of her companions accompanied her, covered Jon and Beethree and as all the disguised men swam out the base...Beethree detonated the bomb.

As about five sentients swam towards the woman's ship and BOOM! The pressure inside the base released bubbles spewing outwards. And the water ran inside the base craving space previously occupied with water. As the bang rippled through the water, alarms blared across the air vents and hoards of henchmen and mercenaries working for the Hutt swarmed the waterways and the pipes to chase down the criminals.

"Hurry! Into the ship!" the masked woman gurgled in the water, swimming around to shoot more of the people following them.

They entered the ship and in an enclosed entrance the water seeped down from the top where they struggled to stand and gasp for air. The captain of the ship ran towards the cockpit of the ship and tapped almost every key in there like there was no more. The ship's engines rattled, gushing water away and pushing the ship upward. Thus blasting off and heading towards the deadly open air.

As the ship went airborne, the windows crystalized and the engines began crackling down, but with a few buttons more. It grunted one last grunt and cut through the air into space where the ship began a lightspeed course.

The ships air vents began buzzing and the ship fogged for a moment as everyone began taking a deep breath.

"So who are you guys?" Jon asked when she crouched to sit on the floor. So would the others too.

"I'm Jane," she said as her mask began spewing out water as she spoke. Breath by breath it echoed.

"Have I met you before?" Beethree scanned, as her banks began speculating. "My vocal memories have data from your voice, but I can't recall."

"I hope you have, I've seen a lot of droids!" Jane spoke as she calibrated her mask. "In fact where we're going, you'll see a variety of them."

"Where are we going?" Beethree got stubborn.

"Calm down Beethree, let them do their business." Jon stopped him, as he dried his blaster ready for another fire. "Let Jane do her job, for right now...we're getting fired for the shenanigans you pulled here."

"Well if you weren't being such a wuss, we could've gotten out of here without help!" she clobbered him with her metal fist. Jon hissed in pain holding his head to let his brain sit quietly.

"Don't be sorry guys! We help we're ever we can," Jane smiled. "Tylo, let's get moving shall we?"

"We're already moving milady." the pilot smiled.
