Playing with YeZiyun, Xiao Ning'er and Ye Han

Upon hearing his fiancee, Ye Han felt unwilling. He was as a former orphan himself well aware that such "charity projects" were nothing else but a big farce. A very expensive toy for rich noble children. However after seeing her smile, he couldn't bear to tell her the truth. The truth that an orphanage wouldn't change the situation in Glory City. The truth that she would probably be doing more harm than good.

But not with him! Through her he now had the chance to proof himself. If he were to help her to build a decent institution, it would become an accomplishment that would further legitimize his position as the future City Lord. He knew that he would do better than the other children after all he had experienced life beyond the tall walls that usually shelter them. He knew what they needed. Furthermore he didn't need to do an outstanding job, he just needed to establish an orphanage that would last longer than a year. That's how low the bar was.

With that in mind, he gave Chen Feng Mian a gentle smile and said "Sure. I will join you."

Seeing his son dote on his fiancee, Ye Zong felt reassured now he had one less thing to worry about. "I will inform the advisors and you can meet them tomorrow morning. Now go on and play, Ziyun missed you dearly."

With that the two left Ye Zong's office and went to find Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er. It didn't take long to find them at their favorite playing place - just by the pond under the refreshing shade of a tall tree. Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er were sitting underneath a blanket and were chatting with each other as they held their favorite dolls while being surrounded by three maid servants.

It was an adorable sight to see. Two little and cutely dressed girls sitting on a white blanket just next to a peaceful pond and under the cooling shade of a big tree and a swing that sways gently with the breeze. This was the moment Chen Feng Mian truly saw that she was in a different world and fainted inside.

As Feng Mian and Ye Han got closer, the two little girls noticed them, greeted them with big smiles and called them out "Mian Jie! Han Ge! Are you coming to play with us?" Seeing the two excited younger ones, Feng Mian and Ye Han couldn't help but nod and spent the entire morning and lunch time with them until Ye Han had to leave for his studies.

Leaving Chen Feng Mian alone with the two girls, they started to be even less restrained and started running around and playing around more wildly with the swing. They played catch, hide and seek, played with the swing and much more. It was in the early afternoon when they wanted to rest a little that they started playing with dolls again.

Each of them holding a doll, they started making up the premise of their play for the day.

"How about our dolls go for a tea party and go flower viewing?" said Ye Ziyun.

"No no no! I want our dolls to do painting and embroidering." said Xiao Ning'er.

Both of them disagreeing and not coming to a conclusion they looked at Chen Feng Mian.

"Mian Jie choose. Should our dolls have a tea party with flower viewing or should they paint and embroider things?"

Chen Feng Mian couldn't help but sweatdrop. None of them sounded like fun activities to do. She wasn't particularly active but she didn't see the appeal in flower viewing. She also had no interest in painting and embroidering even though she had the necessary knowledge from her predecessor.

Trying to compromise, Chen Feng Mian suggested "Why don't we have a tea party where they do painting and embroidering and later on go flower viewing?"

Xiao Ning'er and Ye Ziyun disagreed. "We can't do all at once it takes to much time"

"Then how about we do some of things for instance having a tea party where they compete in either painting or embroidering?" Once again trying to bring both to a middle ground, she tried to involve both ideas.

"Hmm let's do that" Satisfied with this suggestion Xiao Ning'er started nodding and agreed. Soon after Ye Ziyun did the same.

"Great so why don't we make the theme of competition of favorite flowers?" Seeing that the girls agreed Chen Feng Mian brought forth another idea.

"Can we draw for our own dolls?" Ye Ziyun asked.

"Of course that would be more fun." Feng Mian agreed with the suggestion and soon enough the maids brought them empty canvas.

And so they enjoyed their time by painting and playing with dolls. Though Chen Feng Mian wasn't completely happy with the activities she enjoyed spending time with the girls. And later in the afternoon it was time for Xiao Ning'er and Feng Mian to go home.

As she was entering her carriage a messenger stopped her saying "The City Lord will pick you up tomorrow morning to meet with the aides, Young Miss"

After receiving her message, she nodded, sent the messenger away and entered the carriage that brought her home.

At the end of the day, the three girls went home with paintings of plum blossoms, a lily and wisteria blossoms.

Arriving at home, she was yet again greeted by children namely Chen Lin Jiao, Chen Lin He and Chen LinBao that wanted to play with her. Not being able to say no and no wanting to see their smiles fade, Chen Feng Mian agreed once more and spent the rest of her day running around and playing.

At night she was about to sleep she glanced at her painting with a tired smile thinking 'It's great to be a child again.'
