The Empress Wants To Choose Her Own Emperor

Sianna Marie has everything but luck. She who was the first daughter in Marquis Nesia's household, was somehow not loved by anyone in her family. Growing up without real affection made her crave love more than anything. When Sianna Marie finally met the graceful and lovely Crown Prince, who often whispered fascinating words in her ear, her heart melted and her naivety soared. Thinking that this is true Love, she follows the Crown Prince to the imperial palace as his wife. When the Crown Prince ascended to the imperial throne as Emperor, she was likewise appointed as Empress. The relationship between the two was so decent and steady, until finally the birth of their first child arrived, and everything started to change since then. Sianna Marie has suddenly locked away in her cold palace, and every time, she would be put in a big golden cage where the Emperor would come to visit to gaze at her, watching with disdain how she moved uncomfortably every time, being given only a sheet of red silk to cover her body. Her dignity had been degraded, and she still had to be separated from her own child. Worse yet, by threatening that he would do something bad to their child, the Emperor forced Sianna Marie to use her ingenuity to concoct a misleading conspiracy from behind the bars of her golden cage. And Sianna Marie did. In the end, when the Emperor no longer needed her, she was given a vial of poison to end her own life. Luckily, she still managed to hug her son one last time after being separated for so many years. Died with regret, Empress Sianna Marie was allowed to live again in her teenage body. The second she opened her eyes once again, she was determined to take Kaira Kaizen Basilius, the Crown Prince, to embark on hell with her. Amid a conspiracy by Sianna Marie to overthrow the Crown Prince, she meets Ashlan Lune, a young general from Maxima Naval Base, who is the nephew of the Emperor. Sianna Marie judged that this man was suitable to serve as a substitute for that damn Crown Prince. But sadly, the man didn't think so. Instead of being impressed by Sianna Marie's efforts, he accuses her of being a rebel. And for a time, the two of them bit the dust. Sianna Marie only wanted to make a man who had high values of justice become the next Emperor. On the other hand, Ashlan Lune just wants a wife that he can mess with all the time. Ashlan Lune: What is your real goal? Sianna Marie: Married a poor scholar and had 13 children. (Lie) Ashlan Lune: ... What about someone like... The real Emperor-to-be? Sianna Marie: Not accepted! I will only accept a poor man who doesn't even have money to his name! Ashlan Lune: (Starts undressing) What a coincidence, I'm so poor that I don't have a single thread for my clothes. Sianna Marie: Anyone, please help me!

Requiem for an ugly dream

"The winters that I've spent longing for you. Pay them all back." The King of Joseon, a corrupt womanizer who spent most of his time devoted to lazing around, buried himself in alcohol and beautiful ladies. Whilst the King was occupied with his leisurely activities, the citizens of Joseon were suffering from a myriad of problems. Shen Yuan had served under the King of Joseon's rule for countless years. Having born from a lowly servant woman, he was destined to follow in her footsteps. Witnessing the corruption that led the kingdom down a muddy trajectory, Shen Yuan resorted to treason. Rounding up an army, Shen Yuan finally seized the throne, and publicly executed the King, slaughtering the King's illegitimate sons, his harem of a thousand beauties, and only after this sanguinary bloodbath was finished, settled down as the sole regent that oversaw the Kingdom of Joseon. Though.. there was one person he mercifully spared the life of. The Crown Prince. Soon, a heinous rumor stirred up the Imperial Jade Palace. Once spread, it was like wildfire that couldn't be doused. Mouths flew quicker than birds, creating a final, pronounced result. "The current regent ruling over Joseon was in love with the late King!" Unable to bear his father's name being associated with sodomy and dragged through filth, even after his dishonorable death, the young prince, now a young King, found Shen Yuan to be a repulsive individual. This one-sided hatred stemmed from a memory belonging to the past that became a catalyst that catapulted the loath between the two. Whilst the regent remained steadfast, the young, impulsive King hated Shen Yuan. The regent hid an ugly truth, a small fragment that had been forcefully buried deep in the soil of his heart. He truly loved the dead King. Original novel; a work of collaboration between a fellow writer and I.

Death Explained

There was no pain, no light, and no darkness. There was simply nothing. It was as if my mind had been placed in a catatonic state; no breath to be drawn and no words left to utter. Here I woke in a strange place unknown to me and here I sit in the cold presence of an odd man who appeared no older that forty at most. The room we were in was stark white with no decor on the walls, a barren scene devoid of anything. The gentleman across the table didn’t appear to be anyone out of the ordinary from first glance. He wore an all black suit with a skull shaped lapel pin on the left side of his jacket. His neatly combed black hair and clean shaven face suggested that he was rather well kept and he put off a presence that could penetrate the foundations of any soul. I looked into his eyes and saw a void of pure despair. At that point there was no guessing who he was because I had already felt this chilling aura before, but there was now a face to place to it. “Dylan Cinder, you are dead. The act in which you used to commit your suicide was rather amusing, but even so it appears that you have succeeded in your plot to leave the mortal realm”, Death spoke. His cold blackened face offered no sympathy as he informed me of events that transpired, in my mind, eons ago. I wanted to ask about the events that led to me sitting in this peculiar room discussing the topic of my fickle mortal state with death, but I found myself unable to speak. There were no words I could muster to talk to such a being. “Lucky, or quite possibly not for you, the big man thought it would be a waste to let you off the hook so easy. You will be enlisted in the Death Corpse Program and alongside the other new recruits be trained to act as Grim Reapers”. He had a queer look on his face that suggested he may not have been entirely thrilled about my inclusion in this project, but either way it didn’t seem like he had much of a choice. “Of course you can decline the position, but that means you’ll take your chances with the judge and by the looks of how you went out, going down seems very likely. I mean for the love of it all, you slid down a children’s slide off the side of a 300 story building after screaming sui-slide at the top of your lungs”. A wry smile crept across Death’s face because he knew that their really was only one choice. “Sure, let’s give this reaper thing a go”, I thought to myself. I mean given the choice between eternal damnation and a new job, I guess I’ll lean towards the new position. “Seems like you have made up your mind, so sign this contract and we can get on with this process” he sighed. A golden scroll with blood red writing suddenly appeared on the table. It clearly read that in exchange for a thousand years of service to the Death Corpse, I would be free from the judgment of my mortal transgressions. I moved to pick up the contract to examine it closer. My finger slipped and caught the corner of the page by accident and cut my finger open, but instead of blood, a black fluid emerged from the wound and landed in the parchment. “The contract is signed” he said. Suddenly the room went black and the man was gone. My cloths that I was wearing disappeared from my body and had been replaced by what looked like a replica of the suit the gentleman had been wearing, minus the lapel pin strangely enough. A voice suddenly played in my head, a strange sound I had never heard before, almost like some sort of angelic woman directly transmitting thoughts into my mind. “Reaper Corpse Trainee Form Gained. Welcome to the Corpse” the voice rang out. A shocking experience to be sure, but it seemed like it was attached to the contract that I had just signed, so I didn’t pay it to much heed. The black room started to change again, slowly twisting the dimension until it finally cracked. There was a bright flash of light and a loud crashing sound. When the light faded slightly, I found my feet upon solid ground. “Welcome to the Academy”.
