035 Polite

Aimee was suddenly annoyed when another troublemaker was mentioned.

"Why do you have to say his name now? Do you have a problem with him? And do you want to make a fuss with me?" Aimee replied very curtly.

Never thought their meeting would end in a weightless commotion.

Aimee looked at Zack sharply.

"Don't keep getting in my way and get out of the way! I guess I have nothing to do with you anymore!"

Zack continued to give a displeased look.

It was ridiculous to think they'd get along after the divorce. But, why did they have to act like children?!

Zack was sure their current commotion was out of place.

But Aimee who couldn't read the meaning of Zack's gaze and didn't want to, walked past Zack just like that.

So Zack was forced to pull her arm. Very rude and without any prompts. Kept them close enough. Until Aimee could see the fine wrinkles on Zack's forehead.

Aimee then looked at Zack coldly.

"What? What do you want to do?" Aimee challenged, not shrinking her guts one bit.

So Zack looked deeply into those brown eyes. They were very close and their closeness invited memories of the past.

Zack subconsciously gripped Aimee's arm too tightly.

"Let go of me and get out of the way!" Aimee said calmly, "Don't make me repeat it three times! If not..."

Cut her off quickly and precisely. Zack gave a sly smile.

"If not what? You're going to scream like a woman on the verge of a pickpocket?"

Aimee stiffened.

"What do you really want? You don't want to get into trouble with me, do you?" quipped Aimee.

Paused for a moment and thought. Zack replied casually.

"There's no point in bothering you. But can't you be more polite to me?" Zack complained.

"You keep being cold and unfriendly. Even if you don't want to, shouldn't you at least be kind to your future business partner?"

Frowned and didn't like the term partner out of Zack's mouth about their future relationship. Aimee looked at Zack a little sharply.

"I never wanted to be your partner. All of this happened because of Alfin's compulsion and stupid desire. I never really wanted to deal with you seriously."

Understood Aimee's statement well. Zack didn't argue.

Otherwise.

Zack was actually very calm. Even though he knew, he shouldn't have stirred things up.

"Yes. But I just want to ask you to keep your attitude. Regardless of our past. I hope you can be professional. Don't meddle in personal matters with work. You do know this term very well, don't you?"

Insinuated and dissatisfied with receiving a reprimand. Aimee was indifferent.

"I don't care!" Aimee shouted slowly.

She pulled Zack's hand away from her. Then acted like she was touched by something dirty. Aimee followed the way Zack treated his ex-wife the first time they met.

Patted her arm which was touched by Zack arrogantly. Aimee tidied her clothes with a contrived grace.

"I don't need your advice. Because I'm sure, not less than a day or a week? Who knows. To be sure, Mr. Harry Miles will soon change his mind and take the job off of me."

Aimee walked away, leaving Zack who was frozen on the spot.

Glanced at Aimee briefly when her back was almost out of sight.

Zack's indifferent gaze accompanied Aimee's departure.

Got into the toilet cubicle and forgot about their argument without wasting much time.

Aimee contacted Borris again. After she made it back to her room to get the car keys.

"I apologize. There was a minor incident and I was forced to hang up without notice. Where are you now?" Aimee asked.

Felt guilty and walked towards the lobby using the elevator.

"I was right in front of your office. Standing staring at the sign of the company you work for and staring at the ceiling."

Aimee immediately walked towards the exit.

Seeing Borris waving at her and smiling kindly.

Aimee trotted towards him.

Meanwhile in another room in Theo Group's office.

Alfin kept trying to get rid of his bitter feelings for failing to avoid Harry's tantrum. Was about to walk out the office door. But Aimee forbade him like a superhero.

Prevented him from going out and used various reasons and also ways to keep Alfin from escaping.

Aimee's pretentious interference made Alfin forced to languish in Harry's study. He was sitting uncomfortably and waiting for their conversation to end. However, no discussion had started yet.

Alfin finally couldn't stand it.

"Can you say something and not silence me like a stone?" protested Alfin, overwhelmed.

"I know you are currently very upset and angry or disappointed in me. But by ignoring me like this, even though you were the one who called me here! Should I leave and go back to my room?" he added.

It would be better if he did not get reprimanded and irritated. Alfin hesitated if Harry would just let him go this time.

Sat opposite each other and a chilly atmosphere permeated the entire room.

'Okay. Fix! Next time I want to go to this polar room. I had to wear thick clothes in layers so I wouldn't get cold.'

Harry's deep voice broke Alfin's thoughts.

"You neglected your duty and delegated an important task from me to your secretary. Do you want to act as a God?"

Asked straight to the point and didn't let Alfin feel at ease. Alfin gulped. Stared at those dark eyes calmly and didn't look too intimidated.

"I just gave her a chance," Alfin replied weakly.

"While at this time, it was actually me who was giving you a chance?" Harry replied sarcastically.

Sighed and felt Alfin's alibi was not strong. Harry saw Alfin chuckle lightly.

"But, what do you think of today's presentation? Wasn't it very nice and seemed to give us a lot of hope?" Alfin provoked.

Clucked and as if to hit. Harry said in annoyance.

"Did you call that a good thing and can give us hope?"

Alfin sneered.

"I was just trying to find an opportunity."

Harry sneered.
