The first day of school is always the hardest. You have to get up early, make sure you have everything you need, and try to avoid all the awkwardness that comes with seeing people you haven't seen in months. But for Ellie, the first day of her senior year was harder than usual. She had spent the summer mourning the loss of her parents. And now, as she walked into the school building, she felt like she was all alone in the world.

But then she saw him. He was leaning against the wall, with his backpack slung over one shoulder. He had a perfect view of the front doors, and Ellie couldn't help but feel drawn to him. As she got closer, she realized that he was even more handsome than she had first thought. And then she saw his eyes. They were red, like they had been crying.

Ellie didn't know what to say, so she just asked him if he was okay. He told her his name was Luke, and that he was new to the school. He said he'd been transferred here after his parents had died. Ellie felt a sudden surge of empathy for him. She wanted to reach out and comfort him, but she didn't want to seem weird.

So instead, she asked him if he wanted to sit with her and her friends at lunch. He hesitated for a moment, but then he said yes. Ellie introduced Luke to her friends, witch descended from Salem and the daughter of mayon. They both took an instant liking to him.

The lunch period passed quickly, and soon it was time for Ellie to go to her next class. She said goodbye to Luke, and promised to see him later.

As the day went on, Ellie couldn't help but think about Luke. She wondered if he was really as sad as he seemed. Maybe he just needed someone to talk to.

Later that day, Ellie was sitting in her last class when she saw Luke walking down the hall. He was with another boy, and they were laughing and joking around. It was clear that Luke had already made some friends at the school.

As they passed by Ellie's classroom, Luke looked in and saw her watching him. He smiled, and she couldn't help but smile back.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Ellie gathered her things and headed out to meet her friends. Luke was there, waiting for her.

As they walked out of the school together, Ellie asked Luke if he wanted to come over to her house. She said she could show him around the town, and introduce him to her cat, Salem. Luke agreed, and they headed off.

As they walked, Ellie felt herself getting drawn to Luke. She wasn't sure what it was, but there was something about him that was irresistible.

When they got to Ellie's house, she invited Luke in and showed him around. Salem immediately took a liking to him, and Luke laughed as the cat rubbed up against him.

Ellie showed Luke to her room, and he sat down on her bed. She sat down next to him, and they talked about their day. Luke told her about his classes, and the other students. And Ellie found herself telling him about her parents, and how much she missed them.

Before they knew it, the sun was setting. Ellie's stomach growled, and she realized she hadn't eaten dinner yet. She offered to make Luke something to eat, but he said he wasn't hungry. He said he should probably go home.

Ellie walked Luke to the door, and he turned to her. "Thank you for today, Ellie. I had a lot of fun."

"I did too," she said. "I'm really glad you came to our school."

Luke smiled at her, and then he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow."

As Ellie watched Luke walk away, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had a feeling that this was the beginning of something special.
