CHAPTER 20: FUSION OF INHERITANCE

Jia felt sorry for the poor phantom.

" Sorry. It's okay" Jia said patting the phantom.

"Hey, tell me about her. The good memories and you'll feel better" Jia told the phantom.

"I know what you're thinking, why couldn't I bring her back? I tried but her soul already perished in the river of reincarnation. She wanted to reincarnate but somehow, it couldn't happen" The phantom said tears rolling down its eyes.

"When she was alive, she was the strongest demoness to exist. That is why she was dubbed the demon queen. Our parents were both pure-blooded demons. She left to pursue her path, but I still cared about her. She was my favorite" Damon said with a smile.

"But it's all history now," he said sighing.

"So, there's a limit to a god's power, "Jia thought to herself.

"I don't want to be here anymore," The phantom said.

It touched her head.

"I'm about to fuse my power with yours," Damon said.

"Does that mean that I'm the new death god?" Jia asked.

"Something like that. A part of me will remain in you to guide you in using the powers" The phantom said its blue light fading gradually.

Jia closed her eyes. The blue light turned to pitch black.

The aura formed a vortex around her.

After some minutes, the fusion was done.

After the fusion, Jia's blue eyes turned pitch black and there were black streaks across her body.

[Ding! The host has leveled up +2] The system announced.

"Damn, just fusing. I haven't even made use of the power" Jia thought to herself.

'I live in you now. If you need help, tell me the phantom's voice sounded from inside her.

"System, get me out of here" Jia ordered the system.

The system did not reply to her.

Jia sighed.

"Damon, how do we get back outside," She asked.

"Easy" Damon replied.

He did a weird symbol with his hands, and they were transported back outside of the ruin in a flash.

" Cool," Jia said amazed.

"Damon, the world has changed. Valhalla has five empires" Jia explained.

"Five? How? It was just two the last time I could remember" Damon said puzzled.

"Damon, how old are you," Jia asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know" Damon answered.

When Jia got back to the underworld, Damon was amazed.

"What is this place," Damon asked.

"Where I... you know what, I'll tell you later," Jia said.

"Damon, don't you think your so-called best friend was the one that plotted your sister's death," Jia asked.

" I don't know. Besides, he's dead now "Damon said with uncertainty in his voice.

" You're back so early, "Femzi said from afar.

" Yeah,10 days in that hell hole is enough "Jia retorted.

" Why do you look like that "Femzi asked.

" Like what, "Jia said pretending to be unaware.

" Your eyes, "Femzi asked.

" It's a secret. Let's talk about something else "Jia said dismissing the topic.

Jia walked to his domain while Femzi followed behind.

" Demon bloodline, I can sense it, "Damon said.

"He's a vampire "Jia replied.

" I know but there are traces of demon bloodline. "

Damon said insisting.

Jia grunted.

[Hello, host] The system said out of the blue.

"Hello dear system" Jia replied with sarcasm.

"What's that," Damon asked.

"Listen, there's a lot of things I don't know about you and there's a lot of things that you don't know about me. If you want me to tell you things, you might as well start spilling" Jia ranted.

Damon was taken aback and refused to say a word.

[Host should treat the system well]The system said

Jia raised an eyebrow.

"Look who's talking about treatment," Jia said again sarcastically.

Jia sat down by the waterside. She turned to face him

"Where can I find these" Jia asked him to hand him the poison recipe.

"Poison "Damon exclaimed.

" Ripper, Lochan Eva, Ivy "Femzi read aloud pondering.

" First things first, who do you want to kill? " Femzi asked.

" No one in particular. It's just for fun "Jia said casually.

Femzi grunted.

" You'll need to go to a dungeon. A mid-level one...You've advanced to level 13" Femzi said realizing.

"Stop poking around," Jia said coldly.

"I'll send the details to your linker," Femzi concluded.

"Right, I need normal food. I don't need blood for now" Jia ordered.

" Whatever you want. It'll be given to you" Femzi said.

Jia entered her space ring and saw Kay.

"Poor thing. It lives a boring life like me too" Jia said looking at it and bringing it out.

"Is that a variant unicorn "Damon couldn't help but ask.

"Yes," Jia replied.

She went to the window and threw it down.

"Have fun Kay" Jia said looking at it.

Jia changed her mind and went to get it.

" You'll be useful, "Jia said smiling.

Damon was stunned.
