Meanwhile, in the three years after the initial invasion, humans have begun to not only fight back against the aliens, but some choose to become hosts and acquire unique abilities after slaying one of the bloodthirsty, unconventional extraterrestrials. Shortly before leaving their sanctuary/apocalypse training academy, two old friends, Katsu and Saku, are matched together not only as an academic squad, but the two polar opposites are chosen by the last surviving "Creator of Humanity". Both 'blessed' as the reflecting vessels for their universe's contemporary forces and using their "God abilities" to achieve their own (secretly combative) goals. Accompanying them is Shelly, the last surviving descendant to the greatest 'unknown' Scandinavian sword fighter.
