In the Chaos Era, a lot of legendary beings and races are born to compete for hegemony. It was the most brutal era causing a lot of races and beings to die. But there was a single being who managed to fight against many enemies be it races or legendary beings. He was known by many as an elusive, unfathomable entity at that time and gradually earned the title—Nightmare. Because it was he who successfully won the hegemony and killed almost 90% of living beings at that time and the rest survived oppressing them with fear and terror. His name became the legendary taboo as time passes until he died due to severe injuries. But that still did not make the survivors cheered but instead made his name became eternal. A million years passed by, the survivors gradually reproduced and hid in the dark while letting their offsprings control the world. ......... On the lowest level planet in the Universe called Earth. A demon tribe leader found a strange violet gem that was hidden by the previous tribe leader with 'Nightmare' carved in it. Strangely, he managed to receive instructions from the gem to sacrifice 100,000 living beings in exchange for one wish. It took the demon tribe leader hundreds of years to successfully kidnapped weak or ordinary people and successfully resurrected a being which seems to be far from what he thought. "Is this a blessing to my tribe or a curse?" He said to himself. He didn't know the answer but if the survivor of the Chaos Era knew it, he will find out what kind of entity he has just resurrected!
Somewhere on Earth, in the forest.
A man in his forties with a sack in his shoulders is walking in the depths of the forest. After reaching the place a shocking huge hole on the ground can be found full of living beings.
Some of them are humans, elves, and even angels. The sight was simply scary seeing such a huge hole full of creatures. After the man threw the sack on the hole, he took out the strange violet gem with a 'Nightmare' carved in it.
"Now I wonder if this being can really help me? I wonder if it's a creature from hell." The man said to himself with a worried expression.
He threw the strange violet gem on the hole and after hitting on the ground. It suddenly vibrated and a visible laser-like came out from the gem as if detecting something.
As if sensing the lives the strange violet gem slowly rose up and brightens. The man can see that there are already cracks on the gem. After the gem exploded blood came out and hovered on the air.
"What the hell is that blood?" The man said to himself with doubt and cautious expression.
Suddenly, the blood turned into a vortex and slowly sucked all the lives in the hole. Whenever someone has been sucked inside, the vortex will spit out the blood which made the man felt chill in his heart.
The faces of the remaining lives on the hole was full of despair. Because the man locked their rights to speak they couldn't make a noise aside from showing the face of despair.
The huge hole was slowly being filled with blood after killing 70,000 lives. It was simply horrifying as the man have never seen such a gruesome and frightening situation in his life.
"J-just what have I done...? Is this a curse or a mistake...?" The man said with despair in his voice.
After all 100,000 living beings were turned into blood the vortex stopped and turned into blood again. The blood slowly descended into the pool of blood, afterward, the blood pool seems to be boiling.
The blood was slowly changing color into black which looks very ominous. Then the black blood slowly converged and formed into a human.
The man was very shocked since he has never heard or seen such a thing. The human who was lying down slowly stood up and suddenly opened his eyes.
The man who has been stared at by the human felt the threat of death. This death is something he has never felt, it's as if this feeling is telling him that even Gods cannot help him survive.
Luckily, the human closed his eyes before opening again as it turned into normal human eyes. When the man stared at the human in front of him, he found out that this being that has been resurrected seems to be not what is recorded on the ancient records.
"W-who are you...?" The man said with terror in his voice.
The human stared at the man who resurrected him, "Demon? Interesting. I don't remember what my name is but you can call me Nightmare. Tell me your wish and I will try my best to give you what you want."
The man was startled when the human knew his race but remembering the scene earlier he felt it's normal.
"Anything?"
The human chuckled, "Anything."
The man hesitated thinking whether resurrecting the person in front of him is a curse. But he couldn't care less anyway as his people are now in need of help so he didn't hesitate to kneel down and kowtow three times, "Please help my tribe to survive and have the strength to fight back against the enemies."
