As Liu Guanyi trained spiritedly with the God of Guardians, Adori and Xin were also training on their own, time continued to pass quickly.

Months passed as the train moved to the higher floors, passing the 38th floor, 39th floor, and finally reached the 40th floor.

Because of this, the temperature inside the train had become a lot colder and even many big crystal shards of ice started appearing on the walls of the sections of the train due to the extremely cold temperature.

A sword moved swiftly, cutting many blocks of crystal smoothly and sharply without any resistance.

The sword wielder moved gracefully around, her long white hair twirled beautifully as she moved, displaying a dangerous yet picturesque show that attracted men and women alike.

It was just such a perfect combination of beautiful sword art and woman dancing in a chorus.

In a few breaths of time, Adori had slashed apart all of the crystal fish as her white sword glinted under the light. However, more of them simply reappeared on the battlefield and surrounded her again quickly.

Seeing this, Adori didn't become flustered and dashed toward them, continuing brandishing her sword, cutting those fish in pieces.

This process continued to repeat a few times. Seeing this, a frown appeared on Adori's face, breaking her usual calm and indifferent look that adorned her face.

"Xin, what are you doing, why does it take you so long just to find and destroy the crystal source?" Adori spoke through her pocket.

"Sorry, princess, when I'm looking in one of the tunnels, those crystals fish suddenly appeared and blocked my path! Honestly, I am a bit in a trouble myself."

"However, don't worry, princess. I will try to get rid of these fish as fast as possible so I hope you can hold there." Xin spoke from the other line with a troubled voice as loud sounds of a scuffle could be heard in the background.

"This is already more than ten minutes and you haven't even found the crystal source yet?" Adori asked in an incredulous voice.

"I'm really sorry about this, princess Adori, it just can't be helped. You can hear the sounds yourself, right? I am surrounded at the moment!" Xin exclaimed as the sound of the brawl became louder.

"I'm truly sorry, princess. I know I'm asking a lot, but please hold on there just a little longer. I know that you can do it. Sorry, princess, I have to cut this short! I have to focus on those fish before I get overwhelmed!" Xin spoke with a sincere apologetic tone and then hurriedly closed the line.

Adori was a bit speechless listening to his excuses. Even though his acting and voice were quite believable, his reasonings weren't. Adori had killed hundreds of the crystal fish with ease so she understood their capability well.

Although they were many in numbers and would keep reappearing before the crystal source was destroyed, their individual power was nothing impressive.

Even if Xin was a lot weaker than her, he should be alright even if he was facing a hundred of them in an enclosed space.

None of their attacks would go through his "decent" body defense. He had trained a lot and he was still a member of the ten great families, after all.

"Xin, if you choose to play around and don't manage to destroy the crystal source in five minutes, you can have a long rest from training after this."

"Hopefully, your brain can understand the meaning of such a simple sentence, if not, you will taste the consequences." Adori connected the line and spoke calmly, yet firmly as if her words shouldn't be defied, lest facing the consequences.

"Alright, princess, you can hear this right?! I'm doing my best here!" Xin quickly exclaimed as the sound of a loud explosion rang out in the background.

After that one scold from Adori, in just less than a minute, the crystal fish stopped reappearing after Adori cleared all of them. Soon, the notification from the speaker rang out to tell them that they had passed the floor test.

Adori let out a sigh. White foggy clouds could be seen from her exhaled breath as the arctic temperature condensed out of the air and formed a liquid.

Since Liu Guanyi had told them his true story from the meeting with the God of Guardians, he had been staying in the Rice Pot all the time to train under the guardian, only coming out to take the floor tests in these months so she had to take care of Xin.

A bit troublesome task Adori would say, especially if Xin wanted to mess around to get a payback to her after all the sufferings that he had received from her, though Adori was actually quite satisfied with this since it meant that Xin had progressed well out of his dependence on Liu Guanyi.

This all happened since he had come to know Liu Guanyi's secret as an irregular.

Xin wanted to be of use more than what he was capable of, this was why, now, he was determined to grow way beyond what he was now, both in body and mind.

He knew that as an irregular, Liu Guanyi was destined to be someone far above the clouds. To be of help to Liu Guanyi to repay his debts, Xin knew that he had to be powerful and capable enough, at the very least in the ranks of the High Rankers.

To be fair, Adori had also changed her mindset.

Since there were no uncertainties anymore as Liu Guanyi as an irregular, did indeed possess the quality and potential to realize his ambition to build his own forces in the tower, Adori had agreed to help him. That was why she helped Xin to grow on his own in these months.

For the first time, Adori was indifferent toward Xin as she was the same toward most people. There was nothing special that made her interested in him. The members of the ten great families were in millions, and there were many out there that were more talented than him.

However, this changed over time as Adori understood from Liu Guanyi's actions that he wanted both of them to warm up to each other. Hence, she no longer ignored Xin, though she wasn't doing it sincerely.

Now, since Adori had agreed to board the ship together with Liu Guanyi, she would act just like her usual self, doing it seriously. Thus, she would mold Xin to be the best form he was capable of.

Though Xin wasn't "talented", he still had one important quality in him, his determination. He never slacked on his training and always followed Liu Guanyi's orders.

'Let's see, how far you can achieve with only determination and hard work, Xin.'

Your powerstones, thanks!
