Jacqueline considers her duty

"I'm alright, but in a bit of a hurry," Jacqueline replied with a quick smile before turning away from the girl.

"Oh, I'm a psychology student, so I like to practice.  I study the people around me constantly," the girl said with an excited look on her face.

"Oh, that's nice. But I have to get to the bathroom now and then make an important phone call. So, I will chat to you next time," Jacqueline declared with a courteous smile and turned around to walk on.

In the bathroom, she prayed protection over the missing baby and then she prayed for wisdom and protection for her chat to the Brazilian psychic woman.

"I hope that she doesn't give me a cold shoulder for rejecting her advice when I was in Brazil," Jacqueline whispered to herself as she walked out of the bathroom area.

"Hey there! It's me again," Jacqueline heard  again. It was the voice of that same girl.

"I told her that I was in a hurry to make an urgent call, so, what does she want now?" Jacqueline asked herself on the inside.

"Oh, yes, I'm going to make that call now," she responded.

"I'm sorry to delay you, but I think that you might need my help.

You see, I've never seen you this stressed before, so I couldn't let you walk off if there was a chance that I could have helped you," the student declared.

"Well, I have a challenge that's rather urgent, though. It's a matter of life and death actually. So, I must get along now," Jacqueline responded in an urgent tone.

"Great. Now I know why I ran into you and saw you looking so disturbed. My name is Sheridan, by the way," the girl said as she stepped closer to Jacqueline.

The situation felt strange and bizarre, suddenly.  Jacqueline was not sure whether this was real or a prank.

"Really? Are you serious? Then, can you make me trace an abducted child in Europe?" Jacqueline asked.

She did not understand why she wanted to trust an unfamiliar student who claimed to have the ability to help her.

"Oh, it's all about an abducted child then?" Sheridan stated, gazing at Jacqueline very seriously.

"Yes, it happened today, so the child must be found tonight," Jacqueline responded, staring at Sheridan in fascination.

"Then I must unfortunately ask you to forget about that phone call for now, because I know how to help you find the child," Sheridan responded with a deeply serious look on her face.

"But, you're a psychology student, how could you possibly help?" Jacqueline asked in confusion because Sheridan seemed so sure about what she was saying.

"Oh, being a psychology student opens one up to many other possibilities, trust me," Sheridan responded with a tight grin.

"I suppose I will have to accept your offer since you seem to have noticed me for a specific reason. I hope that we can track her down, then," Jacqueline remarked as she stared back at Sheridan with an urgent look in her eyes.

"Follow me to our meeting venue. I will get everything in place to trace this child, don't worry," Sheridan said and she took Jacqueline's hand and pulled her along after her.

"Are there gonna be other people there then?" Jacqueline asked, frowning in concern.

"No, luckily there's no one else there, so we will be able to focus better," Sheridan replied, looking over her shoulder at Jacqueline and taking in her facial expression.

"You should really just focus on the goal in mind now. Just trust that we will track down the child," she added as she rushed along.

So, Jacqueline followed her down a narrow corridor and then down two flights of stairs.

"Gosh! I'm so set into my routine every day that I didn't even know about this side of the university," Jacqueline declared in surprise.

They then walked straight ahead along a long passage before Sheridan opened a door and walked into a room.

Jacqueline could not believe the change in scenery when she walked into the large room.  It did not look like a venue which belonged to the university at all.

There were Egyptian tapestries hanging on the walls and couches with cushions which were covered by Turkish fabric.

There were also Turkish rugs scattered on the floor.

Jacqueline then looked at the side tables which were placed against the walls and noticed the Moroccan draperies which covered them. There were glass vases on these tables and they were filled with colourful stones.

"Wow! Is this part of the university for real? The décor must be so expensive," she exclaimed with her mouth covered in awe.

"Oh, yes. These were all donations which were given to us as a research department by some generous people. They were collected over a long period of time.

Anyway, let's get to work," Sheridan explained before walking around a corner.

Jacqueline followed her there and found another venue which looked more like a consulting room than the big room did.

There was a couch along the wall and a desk along another wall.

There were also Turkish rugs and cushions covered by Turkish tapestries scattered on the floor. It all looked like a scene from a dream.

"You can sit wherever you feel comfortable. On a rug, a cushion or the couch," Sheridan stated as she walked towards a cupboard.

The next moment, Jacqueline was surprised by the sound of classical piano music which filled the room with a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

She went to sit down on the couch and closed her eyes, trying to get an image of Monique in her mind.

"She must be so frightened with neither of her parents there," Jacqueline thought.

"Here we are. We can start now," Sheridan announced then.

When Jacqueline looked up she saw Sheridan carrying a large Japanese jar in her hands.  It seemed to be made of porcelain.

Sheridan placed the jar on the desk and placed her hands around it while she closed her eyes.

Jacqueline stared at her, not knowing whether it was a right moment to speak.

Sheridan seemed to be concentrating on something.

"Is she going to see something in her mind's eye or is she focusing on the music?" Jacqueline wondered with her heart beginning to beat fast.
