Learning about the fragments, Manticore

Licht and Midas were once again in Licht's room having a discussion on what was just said.

"Master, how is it possible for your fragment of power to enlighten a person? Especially someone like the legendary elven archer, I heard they were all in the Purple-rank level. And I think that is the highest level on this continent."

"Yes, so far I think that is the highest level on this continent but there are still levels higher than that. Even when I was at the old geezer's level, I still felt there were more levels to be explored."Licht said then continued "And as for how my fragments gave her enlightenment, I think it is with the fact that my fragments are like actual organs and have functions. The first fragment I got helped in increasing my physical strength a bit, obviously making me increase in rank, the one I got from the monster in the cave helped in increasing my ether reserves allowing me to wield ether on scales at which people at the current level which I have will never be able to attained except people like you, Midas who has the emperor's potential and now I am guessing the fragment she found was an intelligence fragment and she was on the breach of a breakthrough so as soon as she got the fragment she was enlightened"

"Master, who is this old geezer you speak about? For someone to be at your level, is very shocking." Midas said while looking confused

"For now, I can not tell you about him. That is the only thing I know I cannot tell you about" Licht said mysteriously then spoke another sentence albeit in his mind "for if I do tell you about him, unprecedented things might happen"

"Okay Master, I understand. I guess I would have to power up and become strong enough to find out about him later on." Midas said quite strong-willed

"Okay then. Let's get ready to leave then"

"Master, before we leave, there is something I want to show you," Midas said then he was covered in a dark green mist, and from within him, a roar was heard. This roar sounded all over the Chrysler clan, the clansmen at yellow rank felt their souls reverberate while people of a lower rank just went unconscious.

Licht was surprised at the pressure that was emitting from Midas, this pressure could even be felt on the soul of Licht, it was not strong, just like a little tug but it was surprising for Licht that someone could actually achieve such a feat and they were not above Licht's level.

Licht looked at the cause of the rise in the aura and was once again surprised. The cause of the powerful aura was a creature that was close to four meters in height and length. It was a chimeric beast with the head and body of a wolf, wings of the condor, claws of the bear, it had the sharp quills of the quilled jaguar as fur, above its head sat 2 more pairs of eyes from the Arachne and the fangs of the python. This creature looked absolutely horrifying and appalling but Licht and Midas looked at it like it was a unicorn. Licht's face was still calm but his eyes shone like stars were in them, while Midas looked like a proud father.

"Master, this is the chimeric beast I managed to create. It is not my Manticore but it has similarities so I am still going to call it a Manticore." Midas said quite proudly.

Licht nodded and continued to stare at the creature. The creature was at Intermediate blue rank, 2 small realms above Midas but it did not seem like it was a problem for Midas to keep the creature at bay. This was because Midas combined the souls of the beasts he had tamed properly and he could actually square off against an intermediate blue rank individual and win, that was how great the emperor's potential and Licht's interference had on an individual. The Manticore noticed Licht's gaze, at first it reared its head high like it was the king of the world, but after Licht stared at the creature, it felt something that it did not even feel from its own master. It felt like if it made any wrong move, it would cease to exist without any notice. It started whining and walked towards Licht like a scared puppy that has been slighted by its owner.

Midas noticed this, he just chuckled and shook his head, as expected from his master.

Go back a minute when Midas released the aura of the Manticore, Luke in his office felt the aura and thought the clan was under attack by an intermediate blue rank beast. He was not scared but worried about the clan members below intermediate blue rank, then he found out the aura was coming from Licht's room so he walked briskly to the room.

As he got there, he felt the presence properly, then came to the conclusion that it was Midas who used a beast to block the full attack of Frances during their duel but then canceled that assumption as Midas was just in the peak yellow rank, not even in the blue rank yet.

"Does Sir Licht have the same attribute as his disciple? Well, that would not be too odd as Lillian and Laine saw him using several attributes in the gloom forest and during his fight with the beast king." Luke pondered

*Knock knock knock*

Luke knocked then said "Sir Licht, would it be possible to contain the aura of the beast in there as there are some clan members that find the entire aura quite uncomfortable"

"Oh, I apologize. The little guy got excited but he has drawn it back in now." Licht said from behind the door as the manticore took back in the oppressive aura it was releasing.

"Thank you, Sir Licht" Luke said with a bow then left.

Midas petted the 4-meter beast and then took him back into the soul space to rest.
