Conspiracy

~Alexander~~

Someone poisoned my father, so I need to find out who was responsible for it. There were several interviews I conducted, starting with the kitchen staff, security staff, and packer members. There were three people who visited, but they did not have access to the kitchen or the food of the king. However, I still need to look at them.

Our head chef has been with us for over twenty years. She would never even think of insulting the king, let alone poisoning his food, but I have to speak to her about this.

How come Mrs. Grace isn't there? I asked. When I entered the kitchen,

She's in jail, someone said from the kitchen.

Is there a reason she is in jail? I asked again.

Since she has been responsible for the king's food for more than a year now, and whenever she is to cook the food for him, we wait until she is done. Someone else replied.

Oh, okay. After talking to my brother, I asked him why he had put Mrs. Grace in jail.

In fact, I did not; he responded irritatingly, Uncle did.

Okay, I think we're heading in the right direction.

I told my mate that he seemed interested in accompanying me, but he did not exaggerate how worried he was about what was going on. He giggled and jumped to follow me.

Would you be able to explain to me everything that happened on that day, Mrs. Grace?

It's a pleasure to see you again, Alexander. Is this your mate? The soft voice she used to have had become croaked now.

Yes, I replied sadly

His beauty is undeniable. A smile spread across her face.

Blake said softly, Thank you for your kind words.

Your father asked me to make your mother's favorite porridge the following morning. I purchased the ingredients myself from the kitchen store so that everything was complete. However, when I washed them, one ingredient disappeared. I return to the store and get another, before I prepared the porridge. There was no doubt about it. She sounded hurt by what had happened.

Is there anything you noticed before or after that? Blake asked her before I could talk.

I would say, no, nothing except that morning, two members from the Night-walker pack came, but they only stayed for ten minutes.

Are you familiar with them? I asked.

Alpha Oliver and Henry. Then later that morning, I saw Henry talking to Cara, and that was all I could see.

What was the purpose of their visit? Do you know?

I was told that Henry came to check on you. Your brother had promised to contact him a week after they canceled the wedding.

Noah did not mention this to me at all. I thought.

He probably forgot to mention that. There are a lot of things on his mind right now. Blake said.

Have you been in my head just now? I shifted my gaze to him.

No, you said it out loud. As Mrs. Grace smiled, she continued before I could say anything to her.

Before your father passed away, he gave me a note that I was going to give you. He Said I shouldn't give it to anyone, not even your brother.

Can you tell me where it is? I asked, curiosity.

As soon as you open the door to my room, it's hidden under the carpet, so you don't have to walk it inside

Thank you very much. A smile appeared on my face and I asked the guard to release her as soon as possible.

But I have to speak with Mr. Jack, one guard said.

Someone behind him immediately shut his mouth Alpha. We will release her right now and drag the guard away.

Is he an additional guard here? I asked.

There was a voice from behind saying, "Yes, sir."

Get him here right now? I growled.

Within a few minutes, the guard came to inform me that a stabbing attack had murdered him.

My mate and I ran through the hall towards the staff quarters, but we were too late to get inside. This letter was nowhere to be found in Mrs. Grace's room, and the room was a mess.

I made my way to the security room when we viewed the cameras. Everything that happened in the prison wasn't on video, but the cameras were working.

I walked out, deep in thought, when my mate held my hand. In a whisper, he said, "We'll figure it out together, okay?".

I nodded in response.

I'm just thinking out loud, he said again.

What is it? I asked, without looking at him.

Sure someone didn't hack your monitors? He whispered.

They couldn't have bypassed the security. I set it up myself.

How about someone with the password?

That can't be possible. The only people that know the password are me, Noah, His Majesty, and Uncle Jack. My betta doesn't even know the password.

How about the security head? He asked again.

Currently, Noah is the head of the security department.

Oh, he mumbled.

Is it possible to rerun the cameras and set a new password for them? Noah asked.

The process will take a few weeks to complete. I said.

You better start now. As far as I know, my mate does not know what the password is. Noah raised an eyebrow.

Do you think he is trying to convey a message to me? I thought.

Okay, brother, I will get to it.

In the meantime, Blake, I think you could do something while I sort out the cameras. It might take a little longer than expected. Are you okay with sleeping alone for a few days at a time?

Would it be okay if I helped in the kitchen? He complained he missed cooking a lot.

"Do you need anything from Warren City?" If you want them picked up by Dylan and Lily, I can ask them to do so.

That won't be necessary. Liam is coming to see me, and I have already told him what to bring.

You don't need clothes, though. Dylan will take you to our new house whenever you're ready. I smiled.

There is always something new about you. Giggled in delight. Can you tell me if it is in the compound? He asked.

He can show you later before you move, I said with a smirk.

We exchanged a kiss, and I went to work.

After everything was done, Blake, for some strange reason, wasn't speaking with me. It was like we were married and I was the guy who never knew what he did wrong, but ended up sleeping on the lumpy couch in the living room.

When I got home, I met a note that was tucked in the front door.

'Buried treasure'. The Heart marks the Spot.

It made sense now.

I smiled, peeling the yellow sticky note off the front door and opening it. It was dark as usual around eight in the evening. I dropped my bag on the couch, let out an enormous sigh of relief, and looked around for whoever had left me the note.

As if it was a mystery.

I searched the kitchen first but only met with another sticky note stuck at the very top of the refrigerator.

'I knew you'd come in here first. You're getting colder'

I laughed and rolled my eyes playfully before dropping it from my hands and leaving the kitchen. It wasn't until I stumbled to the bottom of the banister that I found another one.

'Warmer'

I ascended the stairs and by the time I had gotten to the top step; it was pretty easy from there. The melody seemed to escape from under the door as I followed the sound of the music.

After opening the door carefully and gently, I am met by Mate, seated on the floor and holding a guitar in his hands.
