Potentially Potent

WEAK! IMPOTENT! FRAIL! USELESS!

Those words, I always hear day by day...

It crunches my ears and hurts my pride as a person, making me feel every day that I have no right to live in this reckless world.

By the way! I'm Leo Josh, they always call me a freak in class, well, I got used to it already.

Power matters here, and I'm one of the cripples they always bully by abusing their powers or just testing out their ability on me.

um.....I can't fight even when I wanted to.

I attend a school where they say we could learn to enhance our prowess and powers where they say everyone has.

But in my case, I think I don't have one.

They say when an infant goes 3, their powers will unlock; I'm 17 already and where is that power? I don't have one.

Right now, I am walking back home from school, its 7 pm already.

Earlier I received blazing fire punches from the bullies....no..potent students that burned up my garments, leaving blisters on my skin, it tingles. I also got solidified by cold freezing ice from my seatmate who hates me, it makes me shiver until now.

My body's sticky and wet right now....the gust of winds touch my skin as I quiver while I walk, crossing my arms, while I see the eyes of other students around me, staring at me and slightly hearing their giggles and chatterings.

Well, this is me, every day I am like this; The situation every day is always like this.

I don't have friends...no one wants to be friends with me anyway even if I wanted to.

Not to mention, all things that I see became colorless and lifeless as if I was watching my life in an uncolored television.

Yes, my life is in grayscale...but...

What gives me the reason to live and continue pursuing this pointless life?

My family is my inspiration! They are the only people who make me feel I am not detestable.

I stopped walking for a moment...

Well, I already arrived outside our house...no...Mansion I should say.

Now that I got home, I wore a big simper on my face, the lifeless eyes I had earlier puffed-up right when I opened the door as I saw their happy faces towards me. Every time I go see them, they make my heart flutter.

Their fervent love coated my heart that makes me fight and strong no matter what is happening in my life.

They are certain of my powers, that I'm weak, but their love towards me did not change even though they are the most powerful being living right now.

The thing is I am from a potent family, My Father who is The King of Spirit control (Aether), My Mother, The Queen of dual ability (Air and Water), and My sister who also have the title "Master of Fire"

I am the only one left behind, but I don't feel it when I'm with them, they always give me passion, determination, and desire to live and always trying their best just to support me find my ability.

Their unconditional love pulls me and tells me that I am not left behind.

I entered the door as my mother ran to me then hugged me tightly.

at that time I saw a serene glow surrounding my body..seconds later, I felt a cooling sensation throughout my body which is now wrapped in warm water which instantly healed my blisters.

She released her hug to me as I again saw my clothes slowly mending while gusts of winds touch my drying skin.

I saw her smile as I hugged her back.

It was dinner at the time I arrived.

The table is already set, Father and sister were sitting as I saw the food haven't been yet touched, realizing that they have been waiting for me.

The words left for me to say is "Ma, Pa, sorry I am late today"

I heard a reply from mom "It's okay son, come let's eat before you go to bed"

I left my backpack in the sala and immediately went to the table.

...I have an announcement for them coming from our school.

We first prayed then afterward mom took the serving spoon, puts rice and curry to my plate.

The fragrant of mother's cooking is exceptional. The smell of the curry touched my nosed as it stimulated my appetite.

Before I forget it, I decided to tell the announcement after I ate my first spoonful of rice.

I looked at mom then asserted, "Ma, it's the first time they are calling all parents at school, they said it was a meeting about us If I could remember".

I saw how my father and mother's eyes enlarge, and my sister just nodding her head.

Well, the schools here in our city rarely conduct a parental meeting. So it's the first time my parents heard this and are going to attend a meeting.

My mom gulped as I hear her reply, "Um..Okay, then when?"

"Tomorrow ma" I answered as I also hear Father opined, "haha, Now son, let's see what your bully classmates will say after they'll know who your parents are" He laughed once again as he added, "A smack in their faces when they'll know it and no one will ever bully you again"

I displayed a big simper on my face after hearing those words from Papa.

My sister whose age is 21, graduated, also asserted, "You know Leo.. if I am still out there studying, I would always protect you, but you are destined to be alone for now, LIFE IS TEACHING YOU HOW TO STAND ON YOUR OWN FEET"

I took my second bite as I again smiled right when I heard those from my sister, who always give me advice and reasons to live.

Taking my third bite as I again felt their Love to me, always depicting a smile on their happy faces....

WELL,.... THEY ARE THE REASON WHY I AM HERE STANDING STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORMS IN MY LIFE.

They are the reason why I always try my best to unlock this stubborn ability which I do not know if I even have one.

But....They give me inspiration and hope, telling me that someday I can be as powerful as them!
