The Beedrill Colony.

Inside the Viridian forest, Alan, Eve and Shin were walking towards a Beedrill colony they had found.

It has been six days since they entered the Viridian Forest and started their training.

Eve looked as beautiful as before as she walked steadily towards the Beedrill colony. Shin, on the other hand, looked different.

For starters, he had grown in height. From his previous height of 0.3 meters, he was now 0.6, as tall as a normal Kubfu and at the rate at which he was going, Alan was sure Shin would grow some more.

But the most noticeable thing about him was not his height but the scar that ran diagonally along his chest.

He received it from his fight with Pinsirs, and ever since then, even though Alan asked him to get it healed, he kept the scar. He said it was his battle scar and also a reminder for him. Alan respected his wish and let him keep it since it motivated him.

Another effect that fight had on Shin was that it had tamed him down. After he had won against every opponent he faced during the first day of travel, he became a little complacent and arrogant. His fight Pinsirs was enough to bring him down his high horse and set him in the right direction.

Alan was going to challenge a Beedrill colony today as a final test. He looked at both Eve and Shin for their status.

During the past week, Alan had not only focused on levelling but also on mastering some of the moves.

True, with the level, you rise in strength, but if he calculated, the strength he would gain with levels might not be much while mastering the moves to at least Intermediate level would ensure quick cast with more power hence making them strong.

Alan and Shin had never missed their Aura training during the week while he had spent time learning Psychic under Eve, who had a better understanding of it than him.

Alan and Shin could now better control their Aura, and the wastage behind the consumption was close to the minimum.

Their stay in Viridian Forest had been productive, not only for just Shin, who was new to fighting but Eve too, who had not fought much over the six years. As strong as she was, she needed more battling experience and Alan, who also learned a lot of things.

He had been doing a little research on berries and would collect any he saw if it was eatable. He wanted to mix the berries to create an excellent nutritional supplement for his pokemon.

Not before long, they were standing in front of a Beedrill colony.

Alan had come here before with Eve and Shin to access the information about this colony and the pokemon that lived here.

Along with the Queen Bee, which was level 35, there were thirty-three more Beedrills: twelve at level 15, ten at level 20, seven at level 25, three at level 27 and one at level 30, respectively, while the rest were just Weedles and Kakunas below level 10.

There were two reasons for Alan to fight this particular colony.

Firstly, it was within the level limit Eve, Shin, and Alan could handle while gaining levels with their fight against them. On the other hand, this colony had just prepared a large batch of Beedrill Honey, famous worldwide.

He wanted that honey for himself and his pokemon as he had heard that the honey served as good refreshment for the pokemon during their training.

"Eve, Shin, use Power Up," commanded Alan as he walked further ahead of them.

Power Up was a combination he had come up with. It mainly revolved around using all the moves that provided a stat increase.

For Eve, it was: Agility + Calm Mind + Work Up.

For Shin, it was: Agility + Focus Energy + Bulk Up.

The two pokemon who already knew what it meant wasted no time using the moves one by one before they followed behind Alan, who already had his swords out. He was not going to fight, but they were there in case of an emergency.

When they reached too close, the Beedrills noticed their presence, not that they were trying to hide.

As a warning, some of the Weedles used String Shot to stop them on their spot, but Alan just cut them apart, making the purpose behind his visit clear for the whole colony.

Beedrills being one of the most easily provoked pokemon, immediately attacked Alan and his group, followed by the Weedles while the Kakuna stayed hanging on the trees.

"Shin, take care of all the Beedrills till level 25 while I will take care of those with level 27," said Alan as he too decided to fight after some thought, "Eve, take care of the one at level 30 as fast as you can. The Queen will not show herself till then. Do your best, and don't show any mercy."

As soon as Alan finished saying his words, both his pokemon went into action.

Shin had to take care of twenty-nine pokemon; the Beedrills had the numerical advantage on their side. Was Shin going to back down? No.

He had learnt his lesson in his previous group fight, and over the week, he had been fighting nothing but whole groups of pokemon.

With his stats already boosted, he charged a Fire Punch and ran towards the Beedrill with full speed. The fire around both of his fists was no longer just embers but actual fire. It was hot, and it danced around his fist as he moved towards his enemies.

The Beedrills did not wait around and charged a Fury Cutter and charged at Shin.

Taking a deep breath in, Shin jumped into the air and punched out at full strength. Beedrills had weak defence and were one hit in front of Shin, but they had their advantage.

They were faster and more in number.

While Shin attacked one of the weaker Beedrills, the other ones flew around him and shot him from behind. As he had already learnt his lesson of never ignoring his back, Shin dodged the attacks that fell upon him from behind.

With a Quick Attack, he went to one of the stronger Beedrills and punched it. The speed showed by Shin was not within Beedrill's expectations since it had never seen pokemon with speed similar to its kind.

However, it was too late since Shin had already fried it with his Fire Punch. He had just finished off one Beedrill when some of them attacked him with Bug Bite from the back.

He gave a small smirk as if already expecting an attack from the back. He did a backflip and flew over the Beedrills and landed right behind them before he started raining punches after punches at them. He dodged any String Shots that came his way from the Weedles, trying to slow him down by tying him up in their strings.

He used a martial art style Alan had learnt in Pokemon School and taught him over the past weak. It was nothing fancy but a better way to use his fists and legs for attacks and movement.

His feet never stopped moving while fighting, always making his way towards the enemy. His fists were consistent; they had their own 'flow' to them. As soon as his right fist punched ahead, his left followed, never letting the opponent rest.

Of course, his reckless style of always fighting up close had disadvantages as he was occasionally hit by stingers of Beedrill, leaving behind small wounds. He knew that they were poisonous as the move Beedrills used at him was Poison Sting which had a 30% chance to poison their opponent.

He, however, had already thought of a countermeasure.

He closed his eyes for a second and moved his aura towards the wounds. Miraculously, the scars started to heal, albeit really slowly.

Aura was nothing else but life energy, every living being possessed it, but not everyone could use it. But the same Aura did not have healing effects on poison, at least not yet.

Therefore, he had to take care of his fight as soon as possible.

With that thought in mind, he used Agility and Bulk Up once again before he leaped at the remaining few Beedrills.

At the same time, Shin had his fight; Alan was standing before his three opponents. He looked at them with his usual calm smile while playing around with his swords.

"I need to test a few things, sorry, but you will be used as a testing subject," he said, but unlike his words, he was not sorry at all.

He waved his hand, and the sword in his right hand disappeared into his space ring. He raised his hands towards the Beedrills, looking at him with confusion.

'Is this human trying to fight us by himself?'

But that did not stop them from attacking him. If they took out the trainer, the pokemon would also have to give up. With those thoughts in mind, they charged at Alan with Fury Cutter.

Alan did not bother with what they thought or did.

Within the dense forest, while the sun was setting into the horizon, his eyes shone in purple light before his hands released similar purple energy. He clenched his right hand into a fist, and as if obeying his command, the Beedrills dropped to the ground, pressed by an unknown force.

They looked at the human in front of them in terror as they realized he was stronger than them.

"Hmm, I still can't use it properly; a lot of energy is wasted in execution," as Alan pointed out his own mistakes, he waved his right hand again, and his sword appeared in his hand.

But the next moment his two swords soon left his hands and started floating behind him.

He once again raised his hands towards the Beedrills and on his command, the swords charged towards them at a very fast speed.

They pierced through the heads of two of them leaving only one alive. Alan had no plans of letting it live though.

He pointed his hand at the remaining Beedrill and used the strongest Psychic energy his could muster before he crushed the Beedrill into pulp.

"I cannot freely control this energy, I need my hands to take aim for a proper execution. Still so weak, and this damn headache," he said while holding his head with both hands, a side effect after overexerting himself with Psychic energy.

He shook his head in disappointment while he stood before the corpses of three level 25 Beedrills. If any new trainer saw this, they might as well curse him on the face for thinking he was weak.

On the other side, at same time Alan and Shin started their fights with Beedrills, Eve too was standing before he opponent.

[Your trainer will die because of his foolishness and so will his other pokemon. While you might win against me, my Queen will not let you live]

Eve lazily looked at the Beedrill before her with no interest [You talk to much]

As she said those words, her eyes shone in similar light as Alan before she held the Beedrill in a tight grip of her Psychic energy and turned it's head towards the Shin and Alan who were fighting.

[Watch closely]

With those words said, she sat down on the ground, looking towards the fight of Shin and Alan as if it was a show.

The Beedrill knew Eve was strong but he never expected her to be this strong, but he felt happy that the other two who came with her would die a painful death.

However, his dreams were cut short when Shin burned the Beedrills to crisp with his fire punch while Alan dominated the three he was fighting while calling himself weak.

[I think you have seen enough] seeing the hopeless look on it's face, Eve decided to end him as well and before the Beedrill could even muster a word, he was crushed to pulp by her Psychic energy.

Shin walked towards Eve with a brunt corpses of Beedrills and placed a few of them before her.

[Big sis, do you want to eat?] he looked at happy as he asked that, unlike his previous self who was brutally killing the pokemon. Even though he shared his 'food' with Eve, he was already biting down on another Beedrill he had saved for himself.

Eve did not say anything but started eating the 'food' her little brother had brought for her.

Alan too walked up to them and used a full heal on Shin, "we need to think of something regarding poison problems."

"I can heal myself but not others," added Eve to which Alan just nodded.

He did not mind how his pokemon were eating the recently killed opponents.

The pokemon in the wild did not have 'special foods' as the ones given to pokemon of the trainer. Then how did they feed themselves? On berries? No, berries were not enough and hence there was constant killing among pokemon in the wild so they could feed on each other.

It was the law of the jungle, only the strongest survived while the weak were washed out.

One of the main reason new trainers could not survive in wild was because their pokemon had grown too soft. Alan never tried to suppress the inner self of his pokemon and wanted them to keep there wild side with them but also in control.

While the trio had just finished with there rest, they heard a loud buzzing of wings and they knew that the Queen bee was here.

"Eve."

"Let's go."

[I will watch.]
