A preternatural existence

I’ve always been outside of the norm; such was always spoken to me by my ‘father’. .. Magic. Such an important existence in this world. An overused phenomenon commonly only seen in nobility. Regular citizens have magic too, everyone and everything has it yet citizens haven’t enough magic inside of them to be used so it just rests inside of them, ever present and unusable. Yet how have I, a regular person of this world, gotten a hold of useable magic? I’m no noble, just a citizen. So why? Why have I been granted the use of magic? (The MC will only have romance with women. Additional tags include: Ability steal, Abusive characters, Academy, Adopted protagonist, Antihero protagonist, Apathetic protagonist, Child abuse, Cold protagonist, Contracts, Elemental magic, Magic beasts, Strong to stronger, Summoning magic, Sword and magic. There are also the obvious tags of Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Girls love, Historical, Martial arts, Mature, Romance. There will be sexual content but I’ll put a warning for that. There will also be some slight gore and I’ve decided to not put warnings for that. Each chapter will stay around 2,000 words. Update schedule will be a bit random but there is at least 1 chapter guaranteed per week. I’ll try and keep it to maybe 3-4 chapters per week? I’m not sure yet since if I’m not in the mood to write then I seriously can’t focus. I also posted this on Scribble Hub so check it out on there as well! Grim Death's

Death. A word associated when someone meets their inevitable end, another phrase of death is the grim reaper. The reaper of souls and guide to the afterlife. What if all that has been written about death has been a lie, of how he's a neutral person that only does his job. In truth, he's the reason why human's die. Not naturally, but him deciding to have his fun with the mortals that are created by the one he work's for. God. It isn't in God's will to kill off the humans. They're meant to be immortal creatures of his own image, till death came along. Not only death, but the agent's of death as well. Agents of death are people that have been gifted the power to manipulate the aspects of death into a weapon. The more they kill the stronger they get, also the more souls they steal the longer their lifespan is basically making them immortal as long as their supplied by souls. These people are humans that have merely scratched the surface of the potential of being death's agent. All of these deathly abilities they gain access to once their an agent of death is greatly rewarding, on the downside their bonds with anyone they had in their mortal life will be cut. Every last one of these people they've had a bond with will die in a horrific fashion, all while you watch as they look at the person that brought them into this devastating demise. Agent's of death are immediately stripped of their souls when becoming one, they're human but without a soul, and granted a fraction of deaths power. Once your soul is given to death and you accept his gift of deathly power, you'll forever be in his clutches, for eternity with no esacpe, disobeying the grim reapers order and you'll see the wrath of a death god. This story follows the main character Lucien, whom has recently lost his mother in a terrible car accident. His soul darkening into disparity like a deathly hollow, great candidate for a death agent don't you think? Will he become a death agent? Or will he just live with what happened that day? All will be decided with the Story of Grim Death's.

This story includes POV's of different characters which are all going to be developed in the future and will have an effect on the story. The novel is named after the reincarnation of the businessman which serves as a cataclysm in the world of cultivation, and while the MC uses some of his business knowledge, this novel is not centered around the MC creating a business empire. I plan to extend the story into at least 2 books, both taking place in the same world. ******************** Updates will happen once every 2 days, but this is often going to change to once every day or once every 3 days because I am not currently writing full-time, and neither is my editor.
